Casual pub with a great tasting menu, rotating delicious taps and doggo friendly beer garden. Definitely recommend a visit here.
We came here for a family dinner and booked a long table in the beer garden for 24 of us. All of us enjoyed our meals, especially the chicken parma, kangaroo, pan fried fish, pork belly salad and wagyu steak. The service was friendly and the atmosphere relaxed. Would definitely recommend!
One of my favourite pubs in Melbourne! Food is simple and hearty, great selection of beers on tap and wine by the glass, and super cosy atmosphere throughout (particularly in winter with the fireplace). Love the beer garden out the back too.
Who said you can’t win friends with salad! This one was a beauty 😍👌 🥗 ! The venue was lovely, especially sitting outside in the beer garden, great for a nice Friday lunch with work colleagues and a drink before heading back for an afternoon of work!

We ordered the roast beef roll (special), chicken Parma, cheeseburger spring rolls and the crabicini. I really enjoyed the Parma and would rate it one the best in Melbourne.
Excellent local pub with cool courtyard and great food and drinks menu. Dog friendly so you’ll have a great chance to have a pat with your pot.
This has become our new local and we are now having to limit ourselves to how many times we can visit a week!! We can’t keep away. Food is way above the typical ‘pub’ standard that you get around the area. Steak night is amazing value and beautiful and perfectly cooked steak. Although there is no table service and you have to order at the bar... the systems that are in place obviously work so well as service runs seamlessly. Friendly staff, great atmosphere.
Since moving to Abbotsford this has now become our local. We love coming here, especially for steak night. The food is always consistent and the service is always friendly.
Since the renovations this has been our go to local. Beer garden is super cute. Love the craft beers on tap and great selection of wine. Food is also really reasonably priced and tasty! Steak and Parma are highly recommended!
Decide to visit this place after listening to a review on a radio station. The other item that caught my attention was the fact it was being promoted as pet friendly. This is a good thing as it allows a second opinion on the food.... only joking. So with my loyal Staffy in toe here we are. Lunch time on a Friday and the outside area is full. Luck I booked in advance. The country fried chicken burger was a winner as was the calamari. The lunch options don’t stop at hamburgers either. The steaks and other meals coming out had the appearance of being every part as good as whaat we ordered. Staff very friendly. Great place to kick back and people watch.
Will be back for an evening meal next time I am in the area. ✔️
Re-visited for the first time since its refurbishment and my god, it has drastically improved.
Had the 300g Porterhouse and which was perfectly cooked, and a beautiful cut. Bar staff were super friendly and knowledgeable, and tap beer selections were excellent.
New owners have clearly put their Royston-inspired stamp on this establishment, without ignoring its heritage. Will definitely be coming back
Our local pub has had a revamp and it’s better than its ever been! The Park Hotel’s new reno leaves it with a great vibe and new staple for the Abbotsford folk. Food is fantastic pub food and it has a number of different eating nooks.
Wow! The Park has had a makeover recently and it’s gone from a quiet local with a good menu to a buzzing spot with amazing food. Eddie and the team are doing a great job bringing life back to this old joint. The beer garden is open again now too and a lovely little sun trap. The new menu has some brilliant food - cheeseburger spring rolls anyone!? Yum yum. A great craft beer selection that’s always changing too. Get down and check it out - but be early or book because it’s always packed.
So happy our local is back! I was worried that someone would move in and destroy it, but it has been tastefully refurbished and reinvented. Speaking of taste... 😋 The food was REALLY good. I had a steak. It was perfectly cooked with zesty coleslaw and hassleback potato. At 26 bucks on non-steak night (18 on Thursday), it was totally worth it! Their beer list is impressive. Great music! Loved it. We will be back!
Just reopened after an extended hiatus post sale. Beer garden not yet finished but who cares. The refurbished internal bar is cosy and welcoming. Quite a few locals there on Thursday night - the place was hopping. Enjoyed an excellent Parma with beer battered chips and coleslaw, plus salt and pepper calamari. All the dishes coming out of the kitchen looked good enough to eat and instagram. Glad you’re back Park.
Whilst I can’t say I’ve been a huge fan of big pubs, they are disappearing at a rate of knots!
So tonight my partner and I called into the Park Hotel for dinner and drinks. The service at the front bar was friendly and welcoming.
Food wise we ordered a chicken parma each and it was good. Good wholesome pub food w excellent service.
The beer garden was BIG... in fact HUGE lol and enough to fit 100 ppl comfortably I’d say. That combined w some cool retro music ... well it was a fun night w easy parking.

I would never find this is place if not from one of my friends. The foods is great, the place is comfy. Definitely good place for hanging out. Unlike most hotel pub, this place has good chef.
Being a vegetarian it's not always easy to find something tempting on a standard pub menu but Park Hotel's one is a bit of a gem (Middle Eastern/Mediterranean inspired, looks like), as I recently found out after a nice long walk in nearby Yarra Bend Park. There is plenty to choose from and I only regret that I couldn't try all of it. But I did what I could : having couple of friends with me helped-we shared a few smaller dishes. We ordered cauliflower pakoras - spiciness beautifully complimented by tahini yoghurt, chickpea and potato latkes with mint and chili salsa - real flavor bombs; and feta bites with delicious punchy preserved lemon relish. One of my friends had also mex parma and another got ginger chili chicken wings, I didn't try neither for obvious reasons but I trust their judgement which was: Yum! So, I guess we'll be back soon :)))
I live in the neighbourhood and have had a couple of meals there of late. Love the generous nachos and the steak cooked beautifully. Decent pub food with some good surprises on the menu.
Its sad how often i come back here.
But realistically, its one of the best pubs on the Northside to eat at during winter. Good food, cosy fireplaces and the staff are pretty chilled.
Summer's around the corner so the beer garden will be getting a work out from me and my belly.

So grateful for the new owners bringing this gem to our hood. This review is an update - the sweet potato chips are the best i've had ever. The $18 steak night was delicious & generous. The cauliflower salad was flavorsome. Great rotating craft beers on tap. Lovely ambiance, open fires & the staff are friendly & accommodating. Looking forward to seeing what they do with the beer garden!
Staff were super friendly. Easily organised a large table for us. I ordered the $22 chicken Parma which was the middle size compared to the $15 and $30 option. This Parma was the mother of all parmas! It was massive but also of great quality as well. Theknifeandforktalk follow me on Instagram.
Such a fantastic local pub. Food is delicious and huge servings. Staff are down to earth, friendly and make you feel at home. The Beer Garden is tastefully appointed, comfortable and a great hang out in summer. The open fire and cosy dining room is perfect for winter. Huge variety of food and specials - particularly great menu for vegans and vegetarians. Only drawback is that drinks are getting quite expensive at $22 a jug of beer and $45 a bottle of wine. Unfortunately there's no happy hour specials.
Don't let the slightly run down look from the outside scare you off. This place is cool! Wasn't too busy, was really chilled out and the staff were great. We sat out in the courtyard for several hours, drinking, playing pool and enjoying the nice weather. Between the four of us, we had a pizza, two quesadillas and a schnitzel. The food was really nice. Would recommend anyone in the area to pop in and support this cool little pub!
Can't go past a Junior Parma available every night of the week. The perfect size to indulge without over eating. Wine selection is great. Only downfall is that they are often out of gas on the beer taps. Otherwise great local pub!
Great lunch menu. Huge serves. Be prepared to wait for food when they're busy, especially Friday lunch time. Good spot for drinks after work. Great outdoor area.

Came here on a Friday night after reading about how good the Parmas are on the internet.
Went through the front bar and thought the place was pretty average looking. However after going around the back, I was pleasantly surprised. Different rooms for different occasions, fireplace for that romantic dinner, large tables area for those group catchups, beer garden for the sport, pool and drinking sessions.
I ordered the Parma which did take a while to come out, however it was pretty busy so no complaints there. The Parma came out and looked fantastic.
The chips were thick, crunchy and the aioli dip went well with them. Parma was cooked perfectly, bacon on top was a nice addition. This Parma was delicious, definitely one of the best I've had. I was wondering how it would taste with a bit more crispy bacon. Salad was good as well, with a decent dressing.
Happy I tried this gem, I will be returning in the future.
So I have found my new local... This place has everything you would want in a local pub. Quick service, excellent food,decent beers and all at a reasonable price. There's a pool table, as well as a beer garden showing sport. The whole place has a really nice inviting feel too it and if you want to sit down and dine it's got that too.
I came here with a mate and ordered the chicken parmagiarna, with an aioli sauce on the side. The Parma was top notch, it came with bacon on top which I'm not accustomed too but I enjoy it heaps. The chips were thick and crisp, and the salad was nice too besides it being a bit to small. The only downside is we probably waited 30 minutes for our food, but beside that it was a fantastic experience. I will be back in the very near future, nice work!

Tucked away in the suburban backstreets, the Park Hotel is a downright gem. They boast a great selection of beers both on tap and in bottles, cosy fireplaces for the winter and an amazing beer garden for the summer
Parma is awesome!!!!. Was a little skeptical walking into the hotel but was pleasantly surprised at the awesomeness of their parma. Quantity and quality. Will definitely be back!

Lovely pub. I'm a local and I've tried all the pubs in Abbotsford including the Retreat and the Yarra, and I keep returning to the Park. It's a comfy place and no member of staff has ever been rude or even short with me or anyone I go there with. The menu is standard pub fair which is what I want on a hungover Sunday, the servings are huge and it's quite cheap. Good range of beer and ciders too.
The new guy in the kitchen actually opened the kitchen early for us on the weekend and seems like a funny and cheery kind of person and is always friendly. A group of guys came in after us and tried ordering things that weren't on the menu and he actually offered to accommodate them (albeit with a long wait) and was much more polite to them than I would have been. The girls behind the bar are similarly easy to get along with in my experience. I can highly recommend it.
The park is a lovely local to have. We go there almost weekly and the food and staff are what keeps us coming back! Now they have the fires going, a glass of red fits hand in hand. Love it!

What a refreshing lunch!. I went to the Park Hotel in Abbotsford today and had a quesadilla with ckicken and chilli etc. It was a great light refreshing lunch! Very hard not to go the parmy though. Yuuuuuuummmmm!!!!!

Nice pub with good meals. I use to live in the area and came here numerous times and always had pretty good meals, including the Chicken Parma. The first time back after moving away 6 months ago and the Chicken Parma tonight was definitely overcooked/burnt. My friend's risotto was underdone with the rice hard in portions. I'll put this down to an off night and am willing to forgive if the next meal is back up to the usual standard I've experienced in the past. I hope I won't be disappointed.
We just bought a house around the corner and were excited to try our new local. This pub is fantastic! Real pub meals, generous serves, no gastropub wank, just good food and lovely staff. The eggplant chips are brilliant and the $10 pizzas on Wednesday are delicious if you can get a seat amongst the busy crowd.

Very good although a little pricey. After visiting the Park Hotel numerous times over the years, we decided to dine there again recently. The food was of a very good standard and the serving sizes were generous, although the meals seemed moderately expensive for what is essentially standard pub fare.
We ordered the chicken parma, which was delicious and mountainous, tasty eggplant chips, arioli dip and a plate of vegies, all washed down with a pot of Carlton Draught. The service was attentive without being intrusive and the dining area, although nothing remarkable for an old pub, was warm and familiar.
A reliable dining option, especially on a cold night!

Relaxed and delicious. I can sometimes be a little wary of pub food - especially when the prices are just a little higher than you normally pay for standard "pub grub"...
Dining here, I was pleasantly surprised. My friends had the staple - a chicken Parma, which was an absolute MOUNTAIN of food, with probably the best chips I've ever eaten. We discussed, as a joke, whether the inside and outside of the chips are cooked separately, because they're just so crispy, and yet so delicious and moist at the same time!
The battered baby snapper was standard fare, with an average sized serving, but was polished off with no complaints.
I had the crumbed chicken salad - 3 fair sized pieces of chicken breast, that were wonderfully moist and tender, with a crispy herb coating that was delicious, but no overpowering. My salad was standard, with the addition of some olives and what I thought my be soya beans. The dressing was a delight.
Service was unobtrusive and friendly, and the quiet dining area was great to have a decent conversation in.
They accept EFTPOS for payment at the dining room, and also take payment by POS at the bar, and allow cash to be taken out.
The only gripe is that coffees need to be ordered and paid for at the bar, which seems unusual, and I could imagine that on a busy night, the bar staff would find this a hinderance.
All in all, a pleasant dining experience...
I think the staff know me by sight!. I love this pub. I go nearly once a week and the food is always fantastic. A short but varied menu means I can always find something I feel like that day. A favourite is green chicken curry, but the menu runs the gamut of pork belly and confit duck, fish and risotto wish variations with seasons/specials. The chef does a great job and service is good too. The pub is well served by a large beer garden in summer and open fireplaces in winter. We've always been able to get a table, so hopefully the Park Hotel doesn't become too popular!
Love this place! The food is outstanding - this is really a fine example of the new wave of gastropubs serving innovative and really tasty meals. It's cosy inside near the fire and service has always been great. I wanna keep this place a secret! Highly recommended.
Surprisingly good. Had dinner at The Park last night and (based on previous meals there) expected some pretty good pub fare. Well, its gone up a gear.
Thai beef salad, excellent flavours and fresh salad.
Pork belly with apple and caramelised onions - fine dining standard. Chorizo also at restaurant standard.
2 bottles of pretty decent vin and cheap. Main courses were $14-$18 and vin list $20-30 a bottle.
