Dropped in for a quick snack of black carrot cake, a Singaporean favourite. It's a delicious filling meal that costs only around a tenner. I paired it with a plate of spring rolls and samosas. They were disappointing small but suited the dish well. Unlike other Killiney locations I've been to, this one has breakfast AND happy hour specials including $1 "Western style" coffee. It's definitely not the best eatery in the area, but it's cheap and consistent AND sells rice cake, making it a winner in my books.

I come here often just for the ambience and good customer service.
Food wise, it’s not too bad. Reasonably priced as well.
Good hangout spot for a chit chat.

I’m so happy with the service and staff. The food let say not too big portion compare with the price. They have Halal food here. Place is suitable for kids since they provide some inside toys for play while their parent having a meal in the Restaurant. What makes me more happy that they have Durian Pancakes!!!

Price is moderate compare with meal size $$

I like satays and you can order 5 or 10 skewers here. Since it’s just for lunch, I ordered 5 skewers with rice. The waiter asked if I wanted rice cake or a bowl of rice. Since both options are the same price, I tried the rice cake. It didn’t look like much on my plate but I was full by the end of it. It was tasty and fun to eat.

My friend and I went to restaurant lunch time,we had nasi goreng and nasi lemak fried chicken. Nasi lemak is truly authentic with the special sambal. I highly recommended for the price and the food, it brings the nostalgia feeling back in Malaysia.

Came back from KL few weeks ago, craved a nice Kaya toast and teh tarik, quite good! Been back a few times since, had chilli pipi, chicken rice and nasi goreng and was left satisfied. The good thing I like about this place is that the prices are low which allowed me to try other things.

Good old Singapore (South East Asian) "kopi tiam" (coffee time) :-)

On their coffee and desserts alone.......

Sometimes, a BIG dollop of condensed milk in your coffee can bring a lot of great childhood memories, that's what Killiney can do. It's like a journey back to home, plus that "kaya" or peanut butter" toast and the journey is complete.

I can't say much about their food, as I find that they are very inconsistent between the many franchise stores/shops they have.

Stick to their South East Asian style desserts and coffee, you'll be fine.

Great venue and food. Reasonably priced. Staff are awesome!! Should try Singaporean Coffee, three types from Kopi , Kopi O, or Kopi C. Very authentic!! Best singaporean coffee in town. Should also try the carrot cake, you will never find a good one like this here. Two flavours available : in black or white. I like both of them. Teh Tarik is also on my list! Will come back !

Excellent and delicious food, tastes authentic just like its out of Singapore. My partner absolutely loves the Roti Kaya for dessert while my goto is the laksa. Staff are always very welcoming too making it a friendly place. Go here if you're craving some good Malaysian/Singaporean on Vic street.

Great ambience in kopitiam, a little modern compare to the traditional kopitiam in Singapore. We had the wok fried kway teao, seafood laksa, kungpo chicken, and chicken rice to share. Food was great, hardly find anything close to Singapore's hawker style food. Service was good, they all very friendly. Will come back with my family next time. I believe they will love it too. Just brings back those Singapore memories.

Singapore is a small but sensational country, serving up supercalifragilisticexpialidocious food to satisfy tourists on shoestring budgets. Killiney Kopitiam transfers that marvellous model to Melbourne. A friend and I ordered Nasi goreng, Nasi lemak and Roti with sugar syrup to go together with the champagne we were drinking to celebrate the end of an era, and to toast to new beginnings.

The food was delivered in a record 30 minutes and I had a discount voucher that brought down the price of the meal to a bare minimum. Excellent strategy for a delivery restaurant. And on days like yesterday when it's 41 degrees outside, you know you don't want to be venturing out of the 4 walls of your very own home.

Great addition to mostly Vietnamese+Chinese restaurants in this area; prices are around $10 and the taste is surprisingly good for a restaurant-chain. We tried their Nasi-Lemak, Mee-Goreng, Fried-Kway-Teow, Combination-Hor-Fun and they all were fantastic in size and taste. Singaporean/Malaysian cuisines is known for the iced drinks and this place has a never-ending list of those those beverages; we tried their traditional iced-kopi and iced-milo and the were so refreshingly yummy. As their menu has pretty much everything that you'll get in those countries, there's lot more to look forward to every week that we plan to lunch over there.

If you have been to Killiney Kopitiam's Lygon St or Bourke St stores you know what to expect from the Richmond outlet. Killiney Kopitiam serve Singaporean cuisine, the word Kopitiam in Malay means coffee shop and as expected they offer an array of drinks and of course a decent selection of rice, noodle and roti dishes. There are a few Malaysian/Singaporean staples such as Laksa, Nasi Lemak, Mee Goreng but there are also some interesting dishes like Mee Rebus and Mee Siam and Durian Pancakes for dessert.

Richmond has been desperate for a Malaysian/Singaporean style cafe restaurant for SO LONG. Why has it taken so long??? Finally. To start, this place is not super fancy, it's more Pappa Rich family restaurant/quick-bite style, but there's a great $15 combo special that is available all day so you can try a range of dishes.
The Char Kuay Teow and Nasi Goreng were pretty okay, total pass, but the Kuay Teow was missing the 'char-ness' from the wok. The kaya toast was a bit cold when we got to it (as it arrived before the mains), so would prefer if they timed it as a dessert like dish. Staff were all friendly and prompt with whatever we needed.

First time trying Killiney Kopitiam and was impressed. Had the mee rebus and chicken laska. Both tasted great and the gravy was nice and thick. Recommend others to give this place a go.

Great food. Especially like the soft shelled crabs. The fish and pipi lacked a bit of flavor. The Singapore coffee/drinks a little weak. However all very reasonably priced. Would come again.

Killiney Kopitiam offers one of the iconic tastes of Singapore local dishes. While not as good as the actual ones in SG, it’s good enough for Singaporeans wanting to find home style food in Melbourne. The nasi lemak is not too bad. Ikan bilis was crunchy, fried chicken was nice and slightly juicy. The fish was ok though. Egg was well cooked. The steam chicken was a tad dry but still good. The kaya and French toast is where the expectation drops. They really pale in comparison to the SG version, considering these are the signature dish of Killiney. Needs to have better quality control for them. Otherwise the place is nice cozy, service staff is as polite and patient. Just a side note, while Melbourne is known for its very high price eating out, the prices for the food here is twice that of in SG for the same dishes.

This branch of Killiney Kopitiam is located in Richmond, which is mainly helmed by a large number of Vietnamese eateries. I would say that if you want some quiet time in an eatery, which serves pretty good food at affordable prices, this is the place to go. I ordered a French toast, kaya toast, a rice noodle soup with hainanese chicken (basically it’s boiled white chicken), and a nasi lemak. Service was pretty prompt, and the service staff is polite and very attentive (she brought me a cup of hot water when I was coughing). Food taste was good. I would definitely come back to have the rice noodle soup with hainanese chicken again, the chilli served with it was divine. I would find the kaya toast too sweet for me (I don’t really like sweet stuff), and the French toast was rather tasteless (you would definitely need to spread a lot of kaya spread on it to have a taste). The nasi lemak was pretty delicious, with a crispy and succulent drumstick. The fish was well fried, you can literally eat up the fried portions. I am intrigued by the chilli crab and the pipeh on the menu, and would look forward to trying them out when I next visit. The food is very much affordable compared to the usual price range of the food in Melbourne. I would definitely be back again!
