Popped in here for lunch while visiting Adelaide in January. Friendly, efficient and very helpful staff. Delicious pizza cooked perfectly. Very good value. All good.
The food was not as good as the ones I used to eat in Italy but still the best Italian food I have eaten in Adelaide so far. The staff was very friendly and the service was quite fast.
Ordered the Marinara Pizza (the famous one that won awards) and the Mushroom Risotto. Enjoyed both very much! The pizza sauce tasted house made and very fresh, and the seafood was very fresh. However, the pizza base was just very slightly thicker than my preference - it was a little doughy, but I think this could be traditional and authentic and it’s entirely a matter of preference.
The risotto was very tasty and perfectly seasoned, and it was generously peppered with mushrooms.
Ambience was great, and it was an altogether great dining experience
Have been here two times now and both times were amazing. The pasta tastes so good and you can tell it authentically made. The garlic bread was also incredible, can’t wait to go back and try the award winning pizzas next time!
La Trattoria is an Adelaide institution - it has been around for a long time so it must be doing something right. I hadn't eaten there for almost 20 years but recently returned. They were busy mid-week which was good. This is good home style Italian food. We had quite a large table and our waiter remembered all of our food and drink orders and where they were meant to go without writing anything down!! My pizza had great toppings (and lots of them) and a good base. Even though I went with a small size it was extremely filling. The pastas all looked good with generous serves.
We made a last minute booking at the busiest season of the year. The staff fit us in seamlessly and were very accommodating with our menu options. The food came out in a very reasonable timeframe and tasted fresh. The staff member that took our order was very friendly and they even gave us a piece of cake with a candle in it as it was a team members birthday (that happened to coincide with lunch). Although they do not do split bills because of the busy time period, they did provide us with a cash float so that we were able to change out money when the final bill came. Will come again!
Wanted to eat here for most of the year. When a mate had dinner here and wouldn't stop raving about it, we decided it was worth going together. La Trattoria is definitely an Adelaide institution, I felt like my Grandparents were taking me into their care and feeding me up for the evening. The walls are covered in people-centric memories, and the meals are hearty, packed with flavour, made with love, and generous. I chose the Russa and my dining partner had the Primavera and both pastas were unbelievably good. The Russa was so good, in fact, I'd say it was the best seafood pasta I've had in Adelaide. Dine here - it's a guaranteed good meal with whomever you're choosing to share a meal with.
This place is historic, in feel and in menu, but this is what to love about the place. Authentic Italian food done well. Consistency with what they deliver, they know what they’re good at and they do it well.
Came here for a dinner with friends.
Ambience : cosy 😊
Staff: Courteous. Indulge in quick and enjoyable conversation.
Food: Thumbs Up. We ordered garlic bread, vegetarian pizza and a pasta. The food is full of flavour and not overwhelming. Be cautious, the portion size is good.
Dessert: BEST TIRAMISU EVER!
A must visit! Abhimanyu Khunger
We’ve been to La Trat plenty of times over the years and if you want good quality, hearty and authentic Italian then this is your place. Sure the decor may be looking less than fashionable, but you’re not here for the environment and setting, you’re here for the food and the old school service. Gnocchi are a must, they’re so delicious. Pizzas are also a winner in my book.
Great food, HUGE pasta servings, and amazing service from the staff. They didn't charge us to BYO birthday cake and even offered to cut and serve it for us. Thanks La Trat!

This is what a paradise for pizza lovers looks like!
EXTRAORDINARY pizzas, EXTRAORDINARY service and EXTRAORDINARY wines!
Was very happy with both pizzas! So filling and SOOOO DELICIOUS!
WOULD RECOMMEND!
Absolutely amazing restraunt. Food was delicious and the workers were so welcoming and kind. Only slight problem was the food took a little to long to come out. 😁
Food: garlic bread and fettuccine bolognaise. Pasta al dente, sauce rich and meaty. Generous serve.
Service: friendly, very warm and welcoming.
A real gem of an Italian Restaurant. I like that it is open late and also open every day of the week. Very dependable feed.
VERY BUSY SATURDAY NIGHT, LOTS OF STAFF
Everyone in the place seemed to be in a good mood and the atmosphere was very relaxed.
We started with tasty garlic bread which was half a roll with garlic butter on one side.
He had Spaghetti Cozze (being a mussel lover) & he said it was generous & delicious. She had Pizza Tropical & loved it. The pineapple was moist & perfectly complemented the ham. I had Calzone Rustico, which is a favourite of mine on cold nights - comfort food! It was satisfactory but I've had better elsewhere, although the bolognese sauce topping should get a special mention for being so good.
We were too full for dessert - I couldn't finish my meal as it was so filling.
My only grumble is people walking by bumping my elbow as I was cutting my food, due to the positioning of my seat at our table beside a thoroughfare.
Love this place. Have been here so many times. Staff are always so friendly. And the meals come out so quickly. Awesome pastas and pizzas and i love the chicken dishes
Without a doubt one of my favourites for a simple night out. The service in warm, friendly and efficient and the food is fresh and fantastic. Highly recommend sharing a bruschetta monte bianco to start followed by the delicious fettucine russa.
Ive always dinned at La Trattoria when in town. Real Italian feel, bustling and an alive atmosphere. Campari's all round at our table, to get into the Italian mood. Menu is very good but one cant go past the spaghetti Marinara. I have it in bianco which was superb and friends had it in Rosso. Steaks were good and reasonably priced. Good for large or small groups. Same waiters for years so service is consistently good and fast. Outside tables keep being added to and extending down the road to accommodate more customers....they must think its pretty good 2!

La trattoria has been the destination of so many family celebrations, they accommodate a full house regularly but never compremise the service. Obviously long term staff, as we have surprisingly had the same staff member care for us over several celebrations, over several years.
Beautiful traditional Italian food, ate here just a few days before the birth of our first son 9yrs ago and have craved that meal since. Celebrated my sons 9th birthday gathering this year and described dish to waiter which chef recreated. Very satisfied, restaurant absolutely pumping
Land mark restaurant, must be enjoyed if lover of Italian food.
Absolutely loooooove La'Trattoria, fond memories here starting from back in my childhood. A beautiful warm and relaxed feel inside, the staff are wonderful. The food is cooked with so much authentic Italian soul, my family and I are very trusting of this place, they take so much care in delivering only the best quality from the kitchen to your table. The pasta is beautiful and how can you say no to the pizza bread while you wait? If you have any amount of room left at the end the dessert is a perfect finish to the night. Tiramisu could never disappoint so have a slice and enjoy!
Fab pizza for delivery on a Monday public holiday. Super impressed by the freshness of the pizza and speed of delivery, keeping it piping hot. The pizza menu is not extensive but what they have they do well.
What a wonderful place! It is such lovely authentic Italian that I would love 2come 2again and again! The service was fantastic, the place was bustling and the food simply Sensational! It has clearly been around a long while and still going strong which makes me smile! I had the gnocchi and I'm quite iffy with gnocchi, but thanx to a recommendation from our lovely waiter Mr Tony, I got it and was certainly Not disappointed! The others at the table were also very happy- spaghetti marinara, mushroom risotto, fettuccine primavera and marinara pizza all delicious!
Long standing customer, basically grew up here like many others in Adelaide. Our family's loyalty to 'La Tratt', is due to a pure reflection upon their consistently high food quality and outstanding hospitality over multiple decades. Do yourself a favour. (I highly recommend Andy's Marinara pizza too).
Always good to find a quality italian restaurant in the Adelaide area. One of the only ones that have sticked it out throughout the years, and you wonder why! :)
We love this place! The food is amazing! The lasagna is the best I've ever had, so good it's hard to order anything else. The place is full of charm. If you have to wait for a table, just go with it. The food is worth the wait! Make sure you leave room for the tiramisu (it's big enough to share)!
Flew in from Perth landing at 10pm, and, upon recommendation of the 5 star staff at Quest on Franklin, put in a call for my Mediteranio. Bloody sensational, delivered 25 minutes after phone was put down it was appropriately chockablock with toppings in the right ratio. All fresh, all tasty. Monday night too. Well played "La Tratt," well played.
Fast and efficient service, friendly staff and the food Is tasty (big portions to which is great). I recommend the gnocchi and dessert pizza :)
My friend and I went in late, were seated promptly and our waitress for the evening was Lucy. She was so warm, friendly and great with recommendations. The food was fantastic!! An old faithful.
Big potions, tasty Italian dishes. Good service and value for money, bottle of wine and dinner for 4 only $163. Must waiters do dork done Italian
You are one of my favourite adelaide Italian restaurants. You never disappoint me. That homemade gnocchi is to die for. Worth every calorie!
There were many positive reviews regarding “La Trattoria” in King William Street and this assisted in our decision to give it a try. After some digging, I found out that owner Andrea was born in Messina, Sicily. He made a name for himself in November 2004 while in New York when he entered the ‘Best of the Best’ Pizza Challenge held in Times Square. Andy was crowned the Best Pizza Maker in the world for his Marinara Pizza.
As a Melbourne boy, “La Tratts” reminds me of a Trattoria that you’d find in Lygon Street. Front of house staff were welcoming and being a quiet night we got seating easily. It must be said that the restaurant is very large and has plenty of seating inside and out front.
I ordered the Pizza “Mediterraneano” After seeing the photos of “Andy’s Marinara” I couldn’t justify the cost of that Pizza. Yes, maybe I’m just a Pizza snob, but in my personal opinion and it’s only MY opinion, I expected to see more fresh seafood on that Pizza.
My Mediterraneo arrived and visually it looked good. It had a medium base and very good taste and texture. Not salty or not bland! Artichokes, Ricotta as well as the Italian Sausage featured prominently on top and the eggplant layered underneath which meant it retained its delicate taste.
This was an 11" Pizza and if I can be a little critical, at $27 (as at 02/11/2015) in my opinion pricing is a tad high. In this price range, I’d expect a wood fired Pizza over an oven cooked Pizza anytime. A version of this cooked in a woodfired oven, would have intensified flavour further and the taste of those toppings would have gone to another level. Remember, this is my personal opinion only.
Having said all that, it’s a good Pizza and the others who dined with me rated their’s good as well.
Good service and large menu to choose from.

NB: This review was not paid for or commissioned by the service provider.
La trattoria is perfect for dinner or lunch, top quality original Italian meals. Lasagna is to die for and the andy's marinara (King prawns) is sensational, my friend had the gluten free pizza which was amazing as well.
And I recommend ending it with a tiramisù or creme caramel for dessert.
Waiters always friendly and helpful!
Great experience every time never been disappointed.

This extremely well known establishment is on the upper end of the scale for dining in Adelaide offering some of the finest cuisine.
Knowing this and it being a favourite of mine for the best part of a decade I ordered the spinach and cheese gnocchi, knowing full well that this place would get it right, oh and did they ever! Absolutely delicious and the texture was light and fluffy the way it should be and it didn't leave you feeling weighed down. Highly recommend it!
I also tried the cannelloni which was enveloped in a rich tomato sauce, which did over power the dishes flavour a tad.
Service was first class, all meals were served with speed, the only thing I would say that due to the cosy layout and the popularity of the venue meant that it was a little noisy in the venue.
Price was also exceptional value here.
La Trattoria is the establishment in Italian food in Adelaide they always deliver perfect food can't remember this place not being busy it always packed which speaks for it self
So happy with our experience coming here. The food we ate was absolutely exceptional and the service was so good! We ordered Bruschetta to start, had the perfect amount of basil and oil. Definitely recommend that. We also ordered the famous Andys Marina Pizza which won awards in New York, was absolutely amazing. Words can't describe how great the food was, I also ordered a seafood Marina pasta, had a lot of seafood and great flavor . I am Italian and do not go out and eat Italian food often because my Nonna cooks it for me all the time, but this Italian food was just to good. My husband ordered the Calzone, he was very happy with it but we could not finish our meals. Was so much food. The total bill came to $110 and I would say that was a great value for money (including drinks)
We have been dining at La Trattoria 346 King William St, Adelaide for years before the term foodie even existed or food blogging was around. Affectionately known as La Tratts this Adelaide restaurant still has its old school charm and popular rustic Italian dishes. The rows of photos of celebrities who have dined here adds to its charm and character. Judging by the constant flow of customers the night we went, it is still loved and popular. For our entrée we ordered the Bruschetta with tomatoes, garlic, basil and virgin olive oil. The fresh ingredients overflowed with flavoursome goodness. From the high quality virgin olive oil to the fresh tomatoes, basil and the well seasoned base; this bruschetta just bursted with flavours. We would have loved seconds if we didn't have mains to come. The mains ordered were the Penne Rustica, Spaghetti Bolognaise, Pollo Romano and the Pollo Avocado. The Penne Rustica had broccoli, hot chilli, tomato, olive oil, Parmesan cheese, rocket leaves and Spanish onion. La Tratts really do know how to make simple dishes taste delicious. The onion and broccoli were cooked perfectly with a crunchy texture while the hot chilli gave it the kick. The pasta could have been a bit more al dente but either way we didn't want this dish to end. It's hard to believe that a restaurant can make a bad Spaghetti Bolognaise but after you eat La Tratts dish you realise how ordinary others are. The full rich flavours of the tomato sauce hit you instantly. You can't really say much more other than it's a standout! The last two dishes were the Pollo Romano - pan fired chicken blended with white wine and cream sauce topped with asparagus and mozzarella and the Pollo Avocado - chicken breast with avocado, mozzarella, cashew nuts and a wine and cream sauce. Other than the slight ingredient differences of avocado, cashews and asparagus both dishes were similar in taste with the cream sauce and mozzarella topping. The sauce reminded us of Hollandaise sau

La Trattoria is an iconic restaurant of Adelaide and has been a place we've visited a couple of times with each occasion having been rewarding. This restaurant has been acclaimed for its top notch pizzas and we have sampled some of these and can attest to their brilliance. Come here for Andy's Marinara Fresh Seafood Pizza, the winner of the "Best Gourmet Pizza" competition in South Australia, then Australia and then New York. Also excellent is the Pizza La Trattoria with fresh tomato, cheese, smoked mussels, prawns, ham, anchovies, and oregano. Yet there are so many excellent options on the menu. We feel La Trattoria does seafood exceptionally well. We enjoy the ambience of La Trattoria. It feels like you're coming home. There's a sense of comfort and homeliness here, as well as a touch of class. More than most Italian joints in Adelaide. La Trattoria also shines when it comes to pasta. We enjoyed this Spaghetti Marinara with scallops, fresh large prawns, calamari, mussels and tomato. (The only food picture we took this day). What a dish - all you could want in a fruits of the sea pasta dish. The generous portion of seafood is of a high quality and perfectly cooked. And we don't mind piling on the parmesan. Here is the La Trattoria story as described on the website, "3 generations of restaurateurs! Read how it is now one of the oldest restaurants in Adelaide and is still owned and operated by the original proprietors, Andrea(Andy) and Natale(Chris). This is no small achievement and the restaurant is busier than ever. With Andrea being crowned the world’s best pizza maker in New York and family tradition that dates back to 1968, is it any wonder La Trattoria is such a success. Antonino Parisi, their father, operated Marcellinas and it was there that the boys learned how to make pizza. All other Italian cuisine was taught by who else but Mama! With the growing success of their father’s restaurant, a sister restaurant was born.

In the end, it was great. But, A tale of two suppers. Bruschetta was lovely. Wine superb. Meal 1 was pasta amatriciana smelled and tasted like fish. I normally get anchovies and find them a pleasant back taste. This dish tasted like cheap anchovies. It was promptly removed and replaced with a beautiful Bolognese. I ate every little bit. They are a good restaurant just "hold the anchovies" they are unsafe in this chef's hands. Everything else is fine.
Good food and good atmosphere. I really enjoyed this place, great food, good quality ingredients and served on time. The service may have been brusque, but it didn't damper the evening.
We had a pizza to share which had a good amount of cheese and was really flavorsome. The chicken romano was perfect and my partner's ravioli bologna was nice.
I would recommend going early as the place filled up pretty quickly and became as bit loud.
Joe Average. Service was just ok and not very friendly. There was just no wow factor with anything about the place. The food was good but not great. The salad had hardly any dressing on it. The bread was basic white bread rolls. Poor wine and beer selection. My seafood pasta was substantial and tasted OK, but didn't quite reach the expectations I had from the reputation this place has had. Maybe they've lost their way a little. Don't go there for a special occasion. Keep your expectations low and you will leave reasonably happy.
Great pizza. My favourite Pizza Restaurant an Adelaide Icon.
Always Feels Like Home!. The Monte Bianco is my favourite! its my second home!
Food is always exceptional and staff are great '
Very welcoming and helpful
Our family favourite
BEST ITALIAN!!!. By far the best Italian food I have had in Adelaide AND at a great price! Love it!!!
Bellisimo!... Best Marinara not only in town... But the entire cosmos!... Thank you! $28 and you an ocean of seafood, an abundance of perfectly Cooke pasta and a fine sauce to die for!.. Love it!... Authentic Italian!...
To mashpotato you don't know what you are talking about first of all they are kalamata olives not cheap black olives and second of all I have seen them chopping up the fresh mushrooms also not cheap so I think you should keep your reviews to your self because you don't have a clue you are a fool
Went there after work one night with a friend. The waitress that served us was very friendly and polite. Felt like I was being well taken care of and on good hands. The food we ordered was very delicious as well. Very happy with this place.
Balmy evening in Adelaide - so sat outside - 8 people all happy - young person says 'awesome' re his pizza Salads, Schnitzel and Pizzas all yummy! Very helpful wait service - quick accommodation of a request for larger table - very pleasant ...
Marinara. Solid Italian food done right. You can't go past it for a consistently good meal. The food is non-pretentious; it's like going over to an Italian mate's place for dinner (who has an amazing nonna who cooks for everyone). Waiting staff have a great dry sense of humour and an old school attitude that is missing in a lot of other restaurants.
The marinara: bloody good! As is the rest of the pasta menu. Love this place.
La Trattoria makes me happy .... It's always a challenge to decide between Andy's Marinara Fresh Seafood pizza and the Spaghetti Marinara so it's best to split them with someone to get the best of both worlds.
Having taken an overseas visitor here they were completely in awe of both the above meals, and the genuine service and especially with not being bothered having to respond to: "is your meal alright"? Ofcourse it is and La Trattoria know that it is damn fine indeed.
You walk-out of the place in a very joyful mood indeed.
Their menu adorns a wall in our office in Denver, Colorado with the expectation that it will be a great day when all staff can have a staff lunch here.
They have been around for a long time and hopefully they are still around in the years to come ..
The Good Old Days. This place is an Adelaide institution and to be around (and busy) for so long, must mean you're doing something right.
Ok so it not the most crisp of Italian restaurants in Adelaide, but you have to embrace it for what it is. Old school Italian food, with old school waiting staff. Nostalgia is probably playing a pretty significant role is this review, but it will remind you going out for dinner with your parents as a kid in the 80's. Plus who doesn't love the idea of a big bowl of pasta at midnight on a Saturday night?
Was very busy even though it was a mid week dinner. Yummy bread whilst waiting for our meals was given. I had the entree size gnocchi alla panna was a good size, enough for a girl who eats a normal size. Sauce was good. Prices are reasonable. Would go again.
It's like you're in Italy. People who expect overly polite waiters and top notch presentation have to put their high expectations aside, and just accept that "La trat" is going to give you the best, traditional Italian food, with fast service and attentive, but no-frills waiters. This place is as Italian as you can get, with an old lady often walking around offering roses for people to buy, with almost every waiter speaking Italian, remembering frequent customers, and of course serving Peroni Nastro Azzurro on tap. You can often stay late at this place. Be aware it is often busy. It's been said they can turn around 500 tables in one night. The meals are not delicate and fancy, they are hearty Italian meals.
This place is the perfect no-frills, traditional Italian restaurant to relax with friends and family. Extremely highly recommended, but not for the perfectionists out there.
Great. Lovely service, attentive staff and chefs that are happy to change meals to make them vegetarian
Late night food love. Love this place to eat if hungry late at night and want a home-style cooked meal... I have no idea what time the kitchen closes but its late! Nice food and feels like you're in a timewarp in italy somewhere!
Rom. We went there to celebrate my mothers birthday. The food is 10 out of 10! The service is fast & good, the food is an explosion of the senses, so much so that it dances on your taste buds. Billy (the manager) is always attentive and entertaining, he'll find you a table, even if there are no tables to be found! If you want fast & friendly service, with food that gives you a mouthgasm, then come to La Trattoria restaurant, you'll enjoy it!
My all time favourite. If you want fantastic fresh authentic italian food you have to go to "la Tratts" Staff are wonderful friendly and fun. Keep an eye out for Billy as he makes you feel so welcome. I eat there frequently and between the lunch time specials the regular menu and pizzas you will be impressed. Well done Chris and Andy.
Best spaghetti marinara ever! So fresh and so generous. I wish I lived in
Adelaide so I could be a regular here- thanks to the guy who sat next to me on the plane & recommended it. Deliziosa!
I love this place! Simple good food and good Service. You too can rely on a good bolognese take-away that is big enough to feed two.
Blown away by the outstanding service at La Trattoria! Waiters were both friendly and efficient. Great atmosphere and beautiful food. As I am a vegetarian I wanted a particular meal without meat and extra vegetables and they were very happy to cater for me, very impressed!
The two times I have been here have been fabulous. Amazing food and great service, we were treated like family. I have to wonder if those who have complained about the service were expecting the boring old "hail the ground where the customer treads". Thankfully the waiters at la trat treat you like adults rather than pandering to you like children.
Excellent. First visit with a group of friends celebrating a 50th birthday. We had a set menu and wine. There were no complaints, plenty of fresh, delicious food with excellent service. We have booked to take our family there as we all love Italian food and La Tattoria is a real find.
This restaurant has been a favorite of mine for many years. The waiters have been there since my wife was a young girl. They are very professional and seem to take it all in their stride and are very attentive. Won't they don't put up with are rude and fussy customers. I don't blame them!! The food is fantastic and very genuine. The tiramisu is awesome but enough for two people. All in all great food and very professional and experienced waiting staff.
Mixed Feelings. Went in with mixed feelings after reading some of the reviews but left feeling very satisfied that we decided to dine here. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
Hands up to la trattoria. All the bad reviews are sad to see. I live around the corner from la trattoria and often visit for dinner. The regular staff are always friendly and welcoming and if you go often enough they will know your order before you ask. I like the character of the place, the Italian staff and traditional style, the busy feel on any evening and that it's open late so you can go for dessert and coffee. I'd recommend the tiramisu, it's devinely good.
Astounded by some of the reviews on here. Just dined there tonight for my mother's birthday and had a magnificent experience. Food was amazing and they were generous servings, plus the staff was really friendly and entertaining. I'll definitely be coming back.
Curious. Couple of years since my last visit to La Trattoria, we plan to visit soon again, but seeing all the bad review lately, I'm a bit worried. What's happened to the good food and attentive service?
Simply superb. An Adelaide institution that truly lives up to it's reputation and the closest you can get to an Italian dining experience this side of the Mediterranean. The pizzas are without a doubt the best in Adelaide and the rest of the menu is high quality, authentic Italian fare. Great atmosphere, particularly as the night winds on and the crowd get more boisterous. Great and friendly staff who are always welcoming. Not the cheapest restaurant in town but worth every penny. I hope to be eating here for another 25 years.
A second home .... I am biased. I read the other reviews before me, and there are elements of each which are correct (except that I don't agree with one dude's assessment of the pizza). None of that really matters because I have been eating here for 20 years, at least once a week, and I like it that nothing changes but the specials. I often don't need to order; the staff know and they treat you like family. It would be hard to find a place more like home cooking (Italian style), where the pizza is, in my opinion, as good as any traditional pizza (not the gourmet stuff you can get, but just what we grew up with). Sometimes it takes time, but have a look at the lines on Friday and Saturday night and tell me Andy is doing something right. Treat it like a true Italian, it's about the living, not about the time. If you want German precession, I'd go somewhere else. If you want Cheers, visit Andy, the Chrises, Sonia, Marco, Grace, Billy and the crew regularly.
I can manage an average lunch (litre of sparkling water, glass of wine and an entre or a small pizza) for under $30. Not bad, eh!
An institution. Yes, this place is an institution...and like other institutions, it does have it's share of crazy people, in both staff and customers alike. Always makes for an entertaining experience! where alse can you drag a group of 20 post-pub hungry revelers for a decent sit-down feed at 9:30 at night? With-out a booking to boot! The owners are always accommodating and the food comes out hot and quick...no matter how big the group, never is anyone waiting for their meal (unless they've popped up to Club X for some mid-course entertainment....but that's another story). It's good! Eat it!

Can't beat the bruschetta!. Great, reliable Italian restaurant. The bruschetta is absolutely delicious and the pizza and pasta always hit the spot.

We love getting a bit of lunch from these guys on a cold winterery day!

I just love it. Great and friend service, u must try the 'monte bianco' and the world champion pizza 'Andy's Marinara'
Pretty good. We had pretty good service, the waitress wasn't entirely friendly but everything was prompt. The food was good, not amazing, but good. It's worth going back to again.
Friendly service and warm cosy environment. Loved the pasta. Definitely going back.
Excellent service. Great food and great choices. Mmmmm delicious
Best pizza for a late night
Great late night meal option for when you need good honest food to fuel the rest of your night. Great waiters

La Trattoria has been around for a long long time and after many years it still looks the same. The restaurant was very busy, jam packed outside. It was lucky we made a booking, otherwise we would have had to get take away. We were seated down very quickly. It was so crowded with hardly any room to move inside. It was also very noisy. Oh well, who cares we were there for the good food. The menus have changed again, this time to a laminated sheet folded in threes, and yes of course the prices went up as well. That didn't stop us from coming, as I know that one of my favourite items was still on the menu.

That said, I gave the famous award winning pizza a go at La Trattoria and my golly gosh… IT WAS SO YUMMY! A thin crispy base with a generous
These guys could not do more for you. Huge beautiful fresh Italian meals, if you don't want something in the meal, they accommodate with a smile. Outdoor dining was fun and busy and our waiter was right there. We also enjoyed desserts and well priced wine. Bathrooms were clean, kitchen crazy busy, great staff and awesome atmosphere
Lovely restaurant! Food was delicious, I had the chicken/avocado/pesto/tomato pasta and it really was something special. Portions are BIG. Staff was friendly, but serving could have been faster.
We had a such a lovely Sunday evening, enjoying a meal with friends. Although the venue is like taking a step back in time, it is warm and cosy, supported by friendly and genuine service. When our pasta was served, we all stopped talking because we were too distracted by how delicious the food was! Yum!
Great Italian restaurant with very well priced food. The atmosphere is great with friendly waiters, good music and beautiful food. Do yourself a favour and try this place!
Round #2
Returning to a restaurant you've been to is one thing, but being welcomed back to La Trattoria by Billy and the team is something special.
We all felt like seafood on the night and proceeded to order what was some of freshest seafood I've had for some time; Local Oysters, Prawns & Sea Perch all tasted as though they had been sourced from the ocean that very day, add to that a couple bottles of Moet and we were some very happy campers.
Out Italian waiter, Giacomo, was great value. His charismatic energy and table side banter added to what was a fantastic evening which was topped off with a late night picture with Billy.
Round #1
If ever a restaurant was a institution in SA, then La Trattoria has to be the most iconic of them all.
For almost 50 years, The Tratt (as its affectionately known) has been serving Adelaide locals and global celebrities authentic Italian just like Nonna would cook.
The food here is as honest as a summers days is long. No frills, just damn tasty meals that fill the belly and nourishes the soul.
Our crew noshed its way through a Bruschetta Monte Bianco, Mussels Darinti, Veal Scallopina Florentina, Gamberi Alla Trattoria, Pollo Avocado, Spaghetti Bolognaise and Alla Siciliana.
Even at 10pm the place was absolutely buzzing with the chatter of happy patrons, whilst the staff whizzed around attending to everyones needs.
Special mention to our waitress Teresa who had us captivated with her banter & beautiful smile and whom we have affectionately adopted as our Matka Chrzestna (aka polish god mother)
Best spaghetti marinara in Adelaide, this restaurant is an Adelaide institution. Service prompt, friendly, busy, family business. They will always welcome you and find you a table. Good selection of local and Italian wines.
One of our most favorite Italian restaurants.
Some food we tried are:
1. Seafood gourmet pizza - the award winner 😁
2. Oyster platter with 3 flavours 😁
3. Gnocchi with cheese 😑
4. Butter bread 😑
5. Tiramisu 🙂
A busy restaurant bustling with diners on a Thursday night. I had the spaghetti marinara which was did not disappoint! Lots of seafood all cooked to perfection.
