Fantastic service and delicious degustation! No dish we could fault. Lotus root chips are to die for. We’ll definitely go back.
Mimasu is my go to restaurant. Beautiful staff and beautiful food. The staff cater to your every need and can answer all questions in regards to food and drink.
If I could give them 10 stars I would!
Truly a hidden gem in adelaide
My friends were raving about this place for ages so I finally gave it a try. Now I too am raving! The food is amazing! The staff are truely lovely. We had a fantastic and can't wait to return!
I really enjoyed the place. The karaage chicken is tasty and very filling. Great value.
I loved the beef and kangaroo carpaccios and the belly tuna is delicious and too good to share. Will definitely be going back to try the rest of the menu. Every single dish.
We’ve known about Mimasu for quite some time and it’s only until now that we’ve got around to paying them a visit. The Japanese restaurant is located on the ground floor of the VUE on King William apartment complex which is at the southern end of the city. The fit out is contemporary with various seating options, and the floor to ceiling windows allow plenty of natural light to flow through during the day. The menu looks distinctively Japanese, but then there’s the odd western ingredient thrown into the mix to add a few surprises.
Solid 4/5 here. Attentive staff, modern restaurant, tasty food, which came out quite timely. Menu is a bit on the short side, but some very good choices all the same.
Have been here a few times now with different groups of people and each time the experience has been exceptional. You will want to order everything off of the menu. The food is so good and the service is perfect. This will be a regular.
Came here with my partner for a late dinner after a hectic day about a week ago. Waiter was friendly, food was fantastic, and we were not rushed even though it was quite late on a Tuesday night. The banquet option is great value and I really enjoyed everything we tried. Having travelled through Japan I can be quite picky, but Mimasu presented a great fusion. Will be back.
Saw the restaurant on the passing along King William street, and decided to check it out with a bunch of friends. Mimasu is what I will call Japanese fusion done well. Really liked their nibbles (Lotus root chips - free!!, and mini prawns), and their capaccios were done pretty nicely. Their sashimi platter is the highlight for me, particularly their wasabi is not the horseradish-filled type that we get in Australia.
The desserts are a slight let down. Go for their savoury dishes, maybe skip the dessert.
Authentic Fusion Teppanyaki!!! Friendly staff and the prompt service. We ordered an array of small plates with the Blue fin tartare being my highlight for the evening.
