Review Faraja - Adelaide

Food was absolutely fantastic, Duck Spring rolls to die for, roast pumpkin with goats cheese and macadam was exquisite. Service left a bit to be desired though, a bit of customer service training wouldn't go astray! Our share plates for four of us came out one at a time rather than together, we didn't get any serving implements for the curry, and we asked for a dessert menu and the waiter forgot to bring it (we got tired of waiting and didn't bother - when we asked him for the bill he didn't even remember we had asked about dessert). Worth going for the food but maybe try a less busy night than Saturday night - we couldn't even get the waiter's attention to get our water refilled.

Really nice food with some interesting options to choose from. Service was a bit cold upon arrival, however the waitress that served us throughout the night was lovely and very accommodating to a few little seating changes we had to make. Worth checking out for something a bit different.

Food is very average and WAY overpriced. Got the chefs plates for a large party. Not nearly enough food came out and we were left hungry, then got a massively overpriced bill. When complaining about it the waitress with a bull ring in her nose wouldn't have a bar of it. The owner/chef said he has recently reduced the portion sizes AND increased the prices. Not worth it!

I do not recommend this restaurant, especially if you have a large group and will be made to have the Feed Me menu. You will be served approximately 10 mouthfuls of food for your $48, and walk away hungry like we did. Don't order the cocktails, as not only are they not very nice, but they fill most of the glass with greenery and not actually your drink. Be careful when ordering, especially when the waitress asks you if you have any special requests, as she may charge you for extra food (as she did when we dined there). If you query that, the owner probably won't care and won't remove it from your bill despite the fact that you spent almost $1000 there (which is what happened to us). Also check the year when ordering wine, as you may be served a different year to what you ordered, which makes a difference when buying a $50 bottle of wine (yes, this ALSO happened to us!). Overall, there are many nice restaurants in Adelaide, and I don't think you should waste your money at this one.

It is always good to be back!! The new location in town is awesome. Loved the venue and how the elements are combined. The staff as lovely and welcoming as usual and the food was delicious! We had the crispy polenta, fish of the day (barramundi) and the spicy Thai chicken...loved all! Highly recommended!

Visited as part of a group and got the chef's selection. We discussed our budget with the chef. The dishes just kept coming. We had to speak to the waiter and tell him that we were full. The food was delicious and the service was great.

Acoustics: 1.5/5 - terrible. We had to sit close together to be able to talk, and had great difficulty hearing the waiting staff Food: very good. They had bacalao croquetas as a special which were great. The two items I had selected were both unavailable, but the alternative we good. Price: expensive, but pretty good for King William Rd. Service: The two waitresses were great - helpful, friendly and relaxed. There was a man wandering around who looked like he was the manager, he was a waste of space. He didn't put through our order for coffee, failed to bring the dessert menu, and took 15 minutes to bring the bill. Overall, nice, but not rushing back.

Faraja is a fantastic restaurant, that has a great menu with simply delicious and flavoursome dishes. The atmosphere is relaxed and the wine list has some great drops. Service is efficient, friendly and not pushy. Cant go wrong with the Duck and mushroom spring rolls, and arancini balls for starters and then the Goat curry, the nim jim chicken salad, and the soft shell crab for mains. Finish it off with the dessert tasting platter for 2. You wont be disappointed.
