It’s not often you walk into a cafe and feel like you have walked into your own kitchen. The staff treat you like family and the food is something out of this world.

I went there with my husband for lunch. The food was beautiful and the juices were amazing. They were willing to change my meal to suit my dietary requirements (GF) and the staff were very friendly. Perfect view while watching the rain. Will definitely recommend to friends and family. Will be visiting again soon.

I came here today with my 1 & 2 year old and the waitress was so friendly, she even got sharing plates for the girls without me having to ask, and all the staff were friendly with welcoming smiles :)

I love this place. You are sure to see a few Adelaide Instagram famous girls here because this place is so trendy and popular but also far away from other shops so you have to know it to go there. It has a great view of the park also.
Very trendy and modern cafe. Was very busy at lunchtime - we had a booking so were seated quickly. I ordered the grilled chicken salad which was lovely. Service was quick.
This place is certainly worth all the hype. Great menu with plenty to choose from for all taste buds, delicious food/drinks & fantastic friendly service. Meals were taken promptly & came out quickly. This brunch spot is worth checking out. Very keen to return & try more off the menu.
Food was good but not great, my homemade beans were very bland in flavour, very generous portions though, extreme cold breeze every time someone walked in and out of the main door which made for a very uncomfortable time dining otherwise the ambience would be good.
Had the “waffle surprise”, which on the day was rocky road. Make sure to book in as this place does get fairly busy. Waffles were nice and quick service.
Pretty packed on the weekends, so try to go early or make a booking if you're going with a group of people. The pulled pork benedict has really good flavors, and it just gets better with the runny yolk all over.
Commissary is yum yum yum! I would definitely recommend booking - we arrived about 10am on a Saturday morning and the place was packed. After about a 20 minute wait we were seated by attentive waitstaff. I ordered a chai latte and the smashed avocado adding on halloumi - because who doesn’t love halloumi?! It arrived with just one piece of toast and one egg which didn’t look like enough for brunch, but it filled me up nicely. The egg was poached beautifully and the combo of smashed avo and beetroot went down a treat.
I've been looking for a decent brunch place in Adelaide for a while now... and hey presto..finally! The pancakes were really good ... the omellete was stellar ; only thing was a huge portion .. definitely be coming back here again
What an amazing find! Lovely outdoor area, nice staff who helped me choose my dish as there were too many options. Had the breakfast ragu with chorizo and haloumi and added an egg. Great coffee, I'll be back to try the pancakes!
This is the second visit to this place. The location is perfect. The staff are polite, professional and attentive the food ordered came out promptly. The Caesar Salad was stunning. The other order was the steak sandwich was very good. Servings are generous and the food is fresh and very tasty. The big issue with this place is sound. Which I acknowledge that soft foam has been put under the tables since my last visit. But with 10 vacant tables the volume in the restaurant is so loud it is unpleasant and you can not have a conversation at your table without leaning in close. It must be awful for staff to put up with this volume of noise all day.
Excellent service! Food came out very quick and was delicious. Coffee was perfect and the almond milk used is good quality! 2 meals with coffee for under $50. Will be back again!

We had the sautéed greens (with added poached egg), a berry snickers smoothie bowl and the waffle surprise to share. Great presentation and taste with all dishes. Loved the waffle floating cup presentation - dish was quite sweet but luckily it had the vanilla ice cream to cut through. Staff were friendly and attentive. Definitely be coming back.

Another amazing café discovery in Adelaide! Commissary is a very vibrant café with a modern layout. The service here is incredible and the presentation of the food is beautiful! These pancakes are extremely filling and super thick! The fruit is a perfect addition to add extra sweetness to the dish, whilst also breaking down the thickness of the pancake. The infused maple syrup is to die for and really makes the dish worth every calorie. Overall, we enjoyed our experience here and will definitely be back!

Commissary is located just opposite one of Adelaide’s many parks, and with 2P parking nearby, this sleek and modern cafe is filled with a mix of white-collared workers, retirees, mothers who brunch, cyclists and joggers, and even tween girls who are hip enough to brunch.
We were greeted very warmly when we walked in, but yet with so many waitresses on duty, we were never offered water by any one of them. It was quite a letdown as they were otherwise diligent in taking orders, setting up the tables and clearing away dirty plates.
Just like the service, it was just almost perfect with the food but something was just lacking. The omelette was huge, and filled to the brim with ham, veggies and very oozy cheese, but it was a bit under-seasoned. The pumpkin dish was a tad stingy with the serving size when compared to the omelette, and the slice of toast was limp and not buttered, unlike the perfectly toasted and buttery toast accompanying the omelette. Taste-wise, it was had much more flavour due to the smattering of feta and sweet roasted pumpkins.
Coffee was the only thing we couldn’t fault. It was one of the best latte we had in Adelaide so far.
Food was amazing, already can't wait to come back and try other dishes that I was drooling over (and I never change my standard meal selection) only annoying thing was how close you sat next to someone you didn't know on the outside tables, not a fan of bumping elbows with a random. Definitely book for brunch or you could be waiting a short while
Fantastic breakfast. I had the smashed peas. There was a generous serve or prociutto, and peas, but for $19, two poached eggs should be included. This is one of the highest priced breakfasts I have had in Adelaide. The place is busy, at 930 on Sunday they were turning away people as they were fully booked. Great service, with plenty of staff.
Do not come here for a lazy breakfast, after 90 mins they kick you out of your chairs and ask you to leave
After always driving past, finally gave this place a visit and wasn't disappointed. The service was quick, friendly and the food was delicious. The sautéed greens with added halloumi was delicious and filling. The menu overs a variety of different meals for each diet.
One of my favourite locals...I come here often for lunch and it never disappoints. Whether its soup of the day or a salad dish it's always fresh and very tasty. The decor is modern, a great vibe inside and excellent service by staff. The place closes around 3.00pm daily so it's definitely a breakfast or lunch spot overlooking the Victoria Park race course. The coffee's are great and lovely gluten free desserts to treat yourself!

I came across Commissary while driving along Fullarton Road from Norwood; it looked like a classy café and was busy with customers so I added it to my To-Try list. Having been here a few times now, I understand why it’s such a popular cafe. Outside seating is available on the open wooden-deck. Although located by a road, it is a lovely spot to sit out and eat while overlooking the parklands. Inside, the large, open space has plenty of lighting from the large glass-front windows and the black and wooden furnishing with clean finishes add a touch of elegance.
I’ve tried the Pancakes and Waffles (pictured) from Commissary’s all-day breakfast menu and the Beef Burger from the lunch menu. And let me tell you, the food tastes as pretty as it looks. My favourite was the ‘Waffles’ with chocolate sauce, berries and coconut ice-cream – a refreshing change to the usual vanilla ice-cream. For those of you who prefer less indulgent food, Commissary offers a ‘Healthy Bites’ section, which I will probably never try being easily tempted with other sweet items and burgers on the menu. Food comes out quickly and staff are friendly and attentive. It does get a bit noisy inside but the food is well-priced and coffee is strong. Such a stylish and lovely café! I must come back to try their savoury breakfast and red velvet waffles.
The BEST Bircher Muesli in Adelaide as well as great, friendly, efficient staff to boot 👍 Keep it up guys. I drive all the way from Aldgate for your Muesli as no-one does it better!!!
Came here for a supposedly "late brunch" with friends during my quick visit to Adelaide. Skipped lunch and went straight for the dessert.
The red velvet waffle with vanilla bean cream served with blueberries, fairy floss and cream cheese drizzle met beyond my expectations. I would recommend for you to try this dessert if you are around the area. Not only does it look good, but it tastes delicious!!!
Ooh yes I DO like Commissary. First of all- atmosphere. What a lovely space! Sunlight streaming through lots of glass overlooking people walking dogs & having a gorgeous time outdoors. Enter indoors and it's a nice big room with foam on the roof & under the tables to absorb sound. Waitstaff were very attentive and service was quick. I came for breaky with a friend and settled on the Bircher muesli.
When it came out I was almost daunted by the presentation because the muesli was sitting in this thin looking juicy soup with a freeze dried passionfruit on top but yuuuum!!! The soupy bit was fruity and sweet and went with the muesli itself which was packed with warmth from cinnamon, crunchy nuts and plump dried fruit.
I was really impressed and can't wait to come back because the word around vic park is that the lunch menu is great too.
I have been to Commissary plenty of times and I cannot fault anything. The food is so delicious and very reasonable priced, the setting is lovely, especially when the room is flooded with sunlight. Staff are attentive but not overbearing and there is never a rush for you to leave so they can turn tables over. All day brunch available and lunch time options are very tasty. Book ahead, especially on weekends to make sure you get a table.
Nice place. The pulled pork and eggs were good. The waffles weren't that great and a little dry. Would go again and try some of the other dishes especially those mentioned in other reviews.
Really enjoyed this cafe along fullarton road. Easy parking along side roads. Friendly staff. Dog friendly. Approved by a Melbournian. The coffee is good. Would reccomend the haloumi and chorizo and mushroom. Simple but everything is done right. My baked eggs wth chorizo was delicious and another friend ordered pulled pork bun with poached eggs and that was filling and appetizing.
Came as a group of three and we ordered the smoothie bowl, beef burger and something else that I can't remember the name of but my friend devoured. Everything tasted amazing and presentation was beautiful which allowed us to take great instagram photos. Definitely would come back!
Breakfast here was outstanding. Fast service. Extremely generous servings. Strong coffee. Healthy juices and smoothies. Perfect pricing. Eye popping, drool worthy presentation. The only disappointment was a feeling to be quickly ushered out. The bill promptly placed on the table moments after our last smoothie sip. Despite there being numerous unfilled tables, a couple was made to wait at the door for seating until we stood up and went to pay the bill.

Pros; Food is great and priced ok. Staff are obliging and really nice. (I.e. Will cook the bacon the way you like it or add a condiment not listed in the 'extras') Lots of options for people trying to be healthy as well as catering for people who just want normal food. Coffee is good. Service is timely (not rushed or slow...)
Cons; setting is noisy and restaurant-y (not really their fault - it is just the location.
My new regular. Great service. Food has always been spot on. Burger is as good as nord burger in my opinion. Pastas and salads always hit the spot too. There is a Barista named Dave, he makes great coffee and believe it or not he's not a bad bloke too, although he could use a few days at the gym :) - i hope he sees this.

Bright, airy and friendly is what first hit me when I walked in to this establishment. Last time I was here, it was still Urban run by Bethany Finn and I loved it then.
We were greeted by a very professional friendly waiter, who seated us immediately with menus.
This is a very smart looking café and you can choose to sit outside overlooking Vic Park or inside.
We ordered juices and breakfasts. Juices were fresh, cold and nice. All of the breakfasts were excellent, nice presentation and very good prices. I ordered the pulled pork with poached eggs, greens and hollandaise. Before I ordered this dish, I asked the waiter if the hollandaise was house made, I was told, yes, it is, but I don’t think so. This particular hollandaise sauce I have had on many breakfasts now at different establishments and it seems a lot of places are using it, of course, this is just speculation, but to me, hollandaise should be tangy, thickish and fresh. The pulled pork on the dish was a little dry. The other dishes were just fabulous, no complaints at all.
I will mention whilst scanning this restaurant, I noticed plastic supermarket salt and pepper grinders on the tables, I thought this was really out of place, considering the money spent on this establishment. Small pickings, I know, but just didn’t suit!
I will definitely be returning to try more of the menu and of course it’s just around the corner! Uber handy!

Wow, what a transformation!! This place is amazing. Beautifully decorated, friendly staff and service. I have only ever eaten breakfast which is always fresh and delicious. I highly recommend the juices and coffee. Can't wait to try the lunch menu!!
It is easy to miss this place. Located at the bottom of an apartment building on Fullerton rd, this place was beautiful! We came to Commissary for a quick lunch and I am totally impressed :) the dishes came out quickly and all tastes devine, the presentation of the food was fabulous, fresh decor and the staff were super friendly. Delicious, can't wait to go back!!
Friends of ours recently recommended this place for breakfast and it definitely hit the spot. It’s a Nice clean restaurant, with a pleasing appearance.
Coffee and juice came out quickly after ordering and were of a high standard.
The staff were attentive, and even though the restaurant was quite full our breakfast came out not long after ordering, with perfectly cooked eggs, delicious salmon and smashed avo.. it was all very yum. I would like to see a homemade hash brown but I still enjoyed it. Hollandaise sauce was on point and the beetroot hummus had a nice zing to it. all in all a tasty breakfast and a lovely experience.
Staff were nice. Meals came out super fast, despite being quite busy. Generous servings for price, delicious and fresh food. Coffees were great too.
Went to this beautiful restaurant for brunch today and it was the best. The staff accommodated us although we were a bit late and we must have overstayed as my friend and I were so emotional.
The service was 5 star and the waiter was so friendly and attentive. The food was ordered and brought out swiftly.
The food ....... was off the chain. Tasty +++ 5 star and the portions were nice and filling. Healthy 5 star ⭐️ suitable for Vegetarian 5 star and for anyone who loves a bit of meat or fish they also have that in abundance.

Easily one of the best brunch spots. Smoothies are great, filling, and fresh. Had the pumpkin brunch option, delicious. Great views. Not overpriced. Doesn't skimp on quantity. Service is quick and efficient even during peak hours.
This is place has great food! Often really busy especially for breakfast and On weekends, but the food and coffee is great. It’s also in a unique location with not many other cafes or shops around, but it’s a 7 min walk to the city from there.
Still my favourite spot for a lunch or quick take away smoothie. I've been going there sporadically for over 5 years and it never dissapoints and no matter how long between visits the wait staff often remember me and my order. How is that for service?! Highly recommend (you may want to reserve your table as it's often very busy).
