The food looked and tasted spectacular. We had the olives, pita bread, lamb cutlets, beef ribs, paella and watermelon with feta salad. All were delicious and the service was great too. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone, well worth it and great value for money.
Casablabla is the place to be if you are after fabulous food, sensational sangria, cool cocktails, excellent music, great and friendly service - they are the casa of the best smile; and a bit of eye candy... they are also the casa of the sexiest bartender - yea you know who you are sexy man!
Love this place so much I think of it as my casa away from casa :)
Great food and fab customer service! We had the Wed platter which contains nice variety of food and is served promptly; like every 2mins the waitress would come with a new set of food. Awesome DJ/salsa instructor! If it wasn't for the next day being a work day I would have stayed late. Will definitely come back and recommend to friends :)
Casablabla was fantastic..best Tapas place we have been to...food bursting with flavours in your mouth..great service too..highly recommend
Yet again you played the best music and made sure everyone was enjoying and bursting some moves. All your Dj's are smashing. The one who played last night (6th october,17) was on top of his game. Asked him to play some bhgangra and he played some Badass bhangra tunes. Absolutely love the vibe of this place.

Love the vibrancy of Casablabla the music is always changing and the pizzas are a tasty treat. it's a great place for date night never disappointed
Casablabla has a great colourful vibe, accompanied by fantastic live music, free dance classes, flashy lights and friendly staff. A great place to hang after work, share some tapas and drinks.
Stumbled across this sort of hidden gem after a failed attempt to eat out at another restaurant, the staff were very friendly but slacked off in speed towards the middle of the meal but remained happy which is a major plus! The food came out in a relatively quickly for freshly cooked meal , first we had pita and assorted homemade dips:
The dips where amazing especially the corriander one ! Pita was average but yummy.
Then followed by some fresh delicious olives , very tasty and quite possibly the best ive had!!
"Main tapas " - braised beef ribs (4) extremely tender fell off with the touch of a fork , tasty and simple..
Grilled chops- (4) extremely tender and very tasty, not alot of charcoal but enough to give it taste and look. Served with a garlic dip which wasnt overly strong but extremely tasty!!!
Watermelon and feta salad- weird combination that actually works, very tasty and refreshing!
Chorizo and prawn paella- quite yum but was a little dry and lacked amount of prawns but was made up by the amount of mussels!
Overall : about average quality food at a decent price , not a meal for very hungry people would definately recommend getting something out of your comfort zone ! You wont regret it! Cons: service could be faster and food come out a little quicker.
Highly recommend for a try!
Fantastic salsa night Great food and wonderful entertainment We will be back for another evening. Want to try the paella now The service was very good , friendly and helpful
Really nice and easy tapas food in a cool environment. The kind of place you'd hang at on a weeknight catch up with friends and be really happy with your meal. I had the sesame seared tuna (5 star), soft shell crab and fillet mignon - great serving sizes but lacked a bit of seasoning on all meals if anything. Also had a margarita and that could have been handled with a bit more love. Overall I'd certainly go back it just wouldn't be my top pick in this highly competitive area.
Having been on the receiving end of bad service at Casablabla several years ago I have not returned until now. I am pleased to report that the service has improved in it's friendliness but is still poor in its understaffing. It was a busy Friday night, only one bar was open and there were regularly queues for drinks.
We love a good tapas spread, the flavours, the bite size pieces, and a chance to try a little bit of everything, what's not to love? So we felt fortunate when Casablabla extended an invitation to try their new winter menu!. Moroccan, Turkish, Balinees and Cambodian inspired decor. Casablabla is the type of place that everyone has visited at least once, and if you haven't, you should. Located on Leigh Street in the city, it's the perfect venue to escape to after work for drinks, great music and delicious food. With a decor influenced by countries like Morocco, Turkey, Bali and Cambodia, there's a sense of mystery to the surroundings, with an exotic touch. On our visit, all food was provided by Casablabla for our tastings.
Casablabla is one of the busiest venues within the Peel/Leigh Street area. Like most of its neighbours, Casablabla is both a bar and restaurant, serving small plates and tapas as well as many cocktails and other drinks.
We've previously been here for drinks, but visited for the first time for dinner on a busy Saturday night. We had no booking and inside was full so we ate at a table out the front.
The food menu is exclusively tapas on weekends; pizzas are available after 10.30pm. Between four people we shared five plates: tuna sashimi, pork ribs, fillet steak, soft shell crab and pulled pork tacos. All were fresh, tasty and a generous size. The tuna and tacos were the best dishes and are recommended. The drinks list is also good: many craft beers, cocktails and SA wines to choose from.
The service on our visit was slightly hit and miss, despite plenty of staff on. The first of our food and drinks arrived before the waitress finished processing our order - literally. Following that, the service was somewhat disorganised and a little slow.
In all, We'll be back to Casablabla for dinner again to try more of the tapas and pizza, and recommend others who haven't yet to also get there.
Be whisked away to a multicultural fiesta most nights of the week at Casablabla; belly dancers, Brazilian drumming, salsa classes and more on the house. The vibe and setup is pretty awesome. Frequented as one of Leigh Street's trendy bars, they also don't put on a bad feast. For $30pp, let them feed you a sea of tapas. The quantity of food delivered is more than generous (or that just could've been me eating everyone else's share too haha) though the quality was rather varying. I devoured the glorious pan-fried haloumi, and quite enjoyed the grilled lamb cutlets and smoked pork croquettes though some dishes ranked lower on my taste buds such as the frittata, sticky pork ribs and leek stuffed potato skins. Maybe DIY and pick the right ones if you're dining here, otherwise it's always an exotic location for a nighttime bev.
Such a cool place with a great tapas menu and wine list, but it's next to impossible to get a seat, inside or outside, if you don't have a booking. If you're just after drinks be prepared to wait in line for a while and then watch like a hawk for a seat to become available. Still, the venue is a lot of fun with plenty of live music and entertainment.
We went here for pizzas before a Thursday football game. We ordered a few of the $10 pizza special, which were absolutely delicious. It was slightly frustrating that only 2 came out at a time, which the waitress explained was due to the size of the pizza oven. I would definitely have them again despite the wait. Great drinks on a Friday night too.
Recently had a meal here with a friend on a week night, this was our first time at Casablabla. We had a selection of tapas including the grilled prawns, lamb cutlets and the pan fried haloumi, all the dishes were above expectations and certainly plan to return. The staff were helpful and engaging.
Good atmosphere and a particularly attractive new bartender. Pretty damn good!
Visited casablabla this evening. WOW amazing to start with the duck mini burger was to die for and the corn fritters were sensational service immaculate. Entertainment mind boggling. great place. Loved every second
Response to Pretentious Review. The following is to clear up a few points for the writer of “Pretentious” review. Casablabla does business as both a late night entertainment venue and restaurant. It has a cover charge from 10pm to cover the cost of late night entertainment in the venue after 10pm. This entertainment includes local bands and drumming groups, dance groups etc. Casablabla does not have a cover charge during “Tapas” dinner service. Although it does offer at least two shows during weekend dinner service free of charge.
We have a limited capacity that must be strictly maintained regardless of the restaurant section of the venue appearing to be empty. People tend to congregate in the beer garden and upstairs area which is out of sight from out front and action has to be taken to maintain a balance throughout the entire venue. It is understandable that this could confuse a customer unaware of licensing matters.
We offer an alternative to the normal eating and drinking experience and a late night experience full of diverse entertainment. If people do not wish to pay in after 10pm they cannot experience Casablabla at night and that’s their choice. We cannot disprove any of the drama in the mentioned review. But after discussion with the staff involved we are confident that no one was guilty of using the F word and people are sometimes just too cheap to pay a door charge.

Staff @ Casablabla
Unfortunately unable to grab a table for dinner, however despite the lack of reservation the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Simon made a martini to die for! The new girl with the Babushka tattoo (another sequel?) was really lovely and seemed right at home. The only issue is that we were too fabulous and had to go elsewhere for a meal! Great place, good space, brilliant live music and imacculatley clean fish tanks. Too much heaven, 10/10.
Awesome drinks and friendly staff. Tasty food too. Love heading there on different nights to see what they've got happening next.
Don't always believe everything you read...... After reading some pretty bad reviews a friend and I nearly cancelled our reservation at Casablabla. Then after reading other reviews about other possible places for dinner and seeing they were just as bad we thought "What the hell!" and went as planned.
Well, I was very surprised and pleased with our yummy yummy dinner. I have to admit 'some' of the staff seemed to be in that way where they believe they are uber cool and if you're not as cool as them then you're not worth knowing, but that was only some. The rest of the staff were attentive to our needs and one even got rid of some creepy guy that was following us and then tried to sit at our reserved table.
The entertainment wasn't necessarily to my taste but it was certainly fun and something different.
Now, the food.... We ordered lamb cutlets, harissa prawns, potato and leek bake, speck croquettes, pork belly and pitta with artichoke and parmesan dip. WOW!! All very nice. The prawns I felt were possibly frozen as a bit watery and not as 'fleshy' as I like them. The lamb was just to die for, and the pork belly... well.... mmmmmmmmmmm is all I can say. The pitta was also amazing, I believe it may have been homemade as the texture was lovely.
All in all it came up to $100 including drinks. A bit more than I am used to paying, but being from the UK I am still converting so I need to get used to the higher prices out here.
I will most definitely be returning.
In Adelaide on a business trip, stumbled across this place and it had atmosphere and good food. Great tapas and good drinks. Recommended !
I had a fantastic 30th at Casablabla. Great tapas, amazing cocktails and friendly staff. Can't stop watching those goldfish in the tanks!
Amazing! Love this place! Sensational food. Keep doing what you're doing!
Stunning restaurant - last weekend I brought 13 international guests to Casablabla - everyone was blown away by the food, service, music & design. A truly unique establishment not only in Adelaide, but in Australia. A must see for visitors to Adelaide - huge congratulations to the team behind this place - can't wait to bring most guest for the Casablabla experience! Thank you!!
By far best club in adelaide. so classy, crew is entertaining, polite, beautiful, peaceful and friendly. Place creates impression as if u were on some other continent. at moments you are at Marooco, then Spain, Brazil, All over the europe, souther americas, nexico, all ove the africa. HQ or other clubs got more space, but here there is no question about the quality. this club worths 2 times more than HQ and Votka bar together. Best wishes to anyone running this xtraoridinary palace
Casablabla has a very inviting feel to it, drawing inspiration from Morocco, Turkey, Bali and Cambodia. Sit back, relax with a cocktail and enjoy the salsa and flamenco dancers that regularly hit the d-floor. ( Casablabla ) 9. The Wheatsheaf Hotel (Front Bar/Pub) The Wheaty pub is a hidden gem for all the craft beer aficionados out there. Regularly hosting craft beer launches, meet the brewer sessions and more. They have a pretty impressive range of beers available so you’ll find something that you love. ( The Wheatsheaf Hotel ) 10. Cantina Sociale (Wine Bar) I’m yet to visit but it has made the top 10 due to all the positive reviews I’ve been hearing lately – what do you like about Cantina Sociale? ( Cantina Sociale ) What do you think is the best bar in Adelaide? Like it?
Hot sunny afternoon, sitting in the shade in a great little court yard in Leigh Street, drinking a few glasses of rose. Service not great, food acceptable. We had a tasting plate - plenty of food, bit dull (been there, had that), but still very edible. Would definitely go again, particularly if I was looking for a pleasant spot to sit and drink (which all too often I am!). Strangely the chairs are all chained down, so you can't move them. Decor a bit confused - I think it is meant to be morrocan, but is also has touches of Bali and India...but that's kinda OK. 10 years ago I thought Leigh Street was becoming more and more interesting, but like all of Adelaide it still hasn't changed much.
Casablabla is an active night time venue with live music, DJs and dancing. During the day it is more sedate and not particularly crowded but still a good place for a Tapas lunch with a number of exotic influences. It is a big venue with three bars and a c
