Wonderful food...every time. Great service...relaxed and great place to Fringe people watch! Will be back here again!
Not too shabby for Asian food! Dined here with the Dimmi 50% off deal and had a very positive experience. The food wasn't spectacular, but it was really good for your average Asian takeout kind of meal. My deep-fried banana fritters were also a God-send!
Had dinner with friend as she recommended the place. We ordered Sizzling shalot beef, Nasi goreng, Salt and pepper beancurd and Green curry chicken. All came nice especially the salt and pepper beancurd, can't stop eat them all. The service are fantastic, initiative staff, good eye contact. We were satisfied to have a dine experience at rundle spices and definitely will come again.
A great place for a bite to eat, especially lunch.
We had Mee Goreng & Drunken Noodles. Both were tasty.
The service was friendly and fast, and the place itself clean and bright.
I had ordered for special rundle spice fried rice.
It was tasty, had a good flavour of basil and hint of spice from chillies as well.
Overall a good place to have a quick meal.
Beautiful tasty food. Five of us had lunch & everyone was raving about the food. Service was perfect too. Will come back to have Tom Ka soup again and try other dishes on the big menu.
If I need a quick, good meal that's great value then Rundle Spices is my "go to" place. The menu is large so there is something for everyone and the food is always really delicious. Solid service tops it off.
I strongly recommend Spice's for tasty food, fast service and low prices. My wife and I have called in many times in the last few years and never been disappointed. We've had vegetarian dishes, some deep-fried and difficult to do well: spring rolls, rotis, curry puffs, salt and pepper bean curd (especially good), and savoury rice.
Rundle Spices is good for a quick lunch. They are super fast and the food is generally reliable. During my recent visit, a few of the dishes came out luke warm.
Rundle Spices Noodles were ridiculously tasty, and other food around the table looked equally appetising. Generally, decent.
Quite a busy place on a Friday noon.
Tried their Rundle special noodles, Nasi Goreng and migoreng. Rundle special was full of flavours and my favorite of the 3. The quantity was however lesser than the other two dishes but good enough for one person. The food was served fairly quickly and the staff was pretty good too. Iced milk tea was disappointing though. Not worth the money if you pay full price. We were lucky to find this place for lunch.
Cheap, fast, delicious and genuine friendly service!
And this is extra text just to fill up the unnecessary minimum of 140 characters you have to leave here.
We always come for the 10.90 lunch deal special. Have only tried the pad thai here. Its a bit sweeter here and more tomato based compared to other autentic thai places. But overall still good and this was evident from the many tables beside us ordering the pad thai. Quick service too
Rundle Spices is fantastic for a quick meal. Whether you are on the go or rushing before or after a movie. They have a large range of dishes to choose from, so something to hopefully suit everyone. I've been here several times and have never had a bad meal or been disappointed in the service. The staff are quiet but attentive. Although the food is not gourmet it is still very tasty and will leave a rather full and satisfied customer at the end. The dishes can be individual or shared. Mostly we share entrée dishes and have our own mains. Will definitely keep going back.
A group of 15 of us had the best time in Rundle Spices last Saturday night! The nice lady who made the reservation for us was kind to give us a great long table upstairs! I always love the food here and for my friends who hv not tried the dishes here was astounded by the taste and quality of the dishes! We did a banquet for all of us cz that's the BEST way to feed a group. A few very personable ladies named Linda & Kiki? Took care of us! They were AWESOME! Nothing was a problem for them and we love their can-do attitude! Great value! we had a wonderful time and thank you Rundle Spices for being so hospitable! Will definitely recommend and will see u guys soon! Xoxo
Strolling down the East end of town looking for a place for a quick lunch. I was instantly attracted by the $10.90 lunch specials, which covers all rice and noodle dishes on the menu. Thats amazing!!
With a lot of choices to choose from, there is bound to be something to fit your taste. Been here a couple of times, and tired their seafood laksa, drunken noodles and fried rice dishes, really damn good. Food came out quickly and presented well. For almost the same price, I would highly recommend coming down to Rundle Spices as an alternative to the foodcourt asian food dishes.
Looking for some cheap and filling lunch? Come try the rice/noodle dishes at Rundle Spices. With their daily rice/noodle special for $10.90, this really has attracted many customers around Rundle Street.
Due to my latest attraction to Pad Thai, I decided to try theirs for lunch. The dish was quickly brought out and I could smell it as the waiter was slowly bringing it to our table. The plate was quite big with lots of noodles on it, so this was some serious value when it comes to quantity. Now for quality, and it wasn't bad. The noodles were fried perfectly, with the great wok scent. The only downside was that they added too much sauce and it felt like spaghetti Bolognese, with the addition of prawns.
With this special up, and a pretty big variety of options in their rice/noodle section, Rundle Spices has earned a regular customer! Whenever I feel like any Asian stir fry for lunch in town, Rundle Spices always comes to my mind first.
Fast service. Lunch specials available and tasty food. Fairly easy to get a table at any time of the day. Enjoyed my Choo Chee Chicken with a Pale.
Decent food with an average price.
One of the better asain food in rundle st alr (def better Asian restaurants outside rundle st!)
Lunch special for 9.9 for a dish is a rather good deal for their food! No complains!
Chicken Laksa was amazing. Never had a bad meal here and great private area upstairs if you want a private party.
Recommended. I came here for lunch and I enjoyed the food. Pricing is good and the flavours are there. I would come again :)
Consistently tasty. Have dined here several times and most recently in Sept 2012. Had the Drunken Chicken for the main on this occasion. My friend had the sizzling beef... preferred his dish to mine. Have had the singapore noodles in the past which is always a favourite.
Modern decor which is a little cozy, but tasty meals which are wallet-friendly, and only a walk away from the rest of the excitement on Rundle Street. Would dine here again.
Pleasant enough for a quick bite. Nothing pretentious about this place. Its utilitarian decor hints at the cuisine style and its almost home cooking style with some embellishment thrown in. Have been here a few times but this is my first review of it.
The soft shell crab was certainly of note...even better than the ones in Vietnam Restaurant (Addison Road) for preparation and price! The laksa was fine (could do with a bit more coconut cream, but thats just personal taste). However, the Drunken Noodles were just soya sauce flavored and salty with no distinct flavour of its own...that was mediocre.
On the whole, worth a call in if you were after a quick Asian fix.

Food is always fresh and tasty
Staff are welcome and very accommodating
All around excellent
Good prices
and most of all you actually feel welcome when vising.
Highly recommended
Perfect for dinner before a movie. Friendly staff, great service and nice atmosphere. The Pepper Egg Prawn and Salt & Pepper Tofu are really yummy.
ONE OF THE BEST NOODLE SPOTS IN ADELADIE. Lunch time special that run 7 days a week makes Spices a real bargain. The menu has a huge variety of dishes and everything that I’ve ever eaten here is fantastic, the Laksa, in my opinion is the best in Adelaide. The portions are a good size and the atmosphere has a real Hawker Centre feel about it. Staff here are always very friendly even through they’re always flat out as the place always seems to be packed.
Brilliant, quick and good value.
The salt and pepper tofu and their Pad Thai was amazing.
Great value lunch specials, really filling meals. I go there pretty often now. I love the Pud Mee noodle dish. Also, good service. :)
Do you like noodles?! Yes!!! Get some here. It's usually busy and the food is decent. Don't get me wrong. It won't change your life but you'll be satisfied.
One of my favourites in Rundle Street , love the salt and pepper soft shell crab , Always good value and good service.
A great place for cheap eat. We had lunch in the city on a Sunday and was wondering if there's anything nice but without the price tag of a restaurant. So surprised to come across this restaurant among all the cafes and restaurants in the East End since it offered $9 special lunch deal everyday even on a Sunday. Without a doubt, we went in and gave it a go. We had pad thai and singapore noodles. Both were done great. The chef did a great job pan-frying the noodles that we couldn't replicate the flavour at home. The only drawback is the seat against the wall. I don't think it's very comfortable. Otherwise, a nice place to hang out for lunch any day. :)
No complaints!. Lovely food, fresh clean flavours.
If I had to pick something to pick about, it would be
that our dishes lacked a bit of "oomph",a bit more spicey/fiery would be good.
Overall, highly recommend Rundle Spices.
P.S Wait staff are lovely and friendly
Great for an informal catch-up. Back when my friends and I worked on Rundle St, Spices was the choice for our weekly post-work wok-tossed, moselle infused venture toward the weekend. It's inexpensive, with good service and a whole bunch of options (including kangagroo curry).
Last time I checked they didn't allow split bills.
