Review The Balcony Restaurant - Adelaide

It was an interesting experience cooking on the stone grill. Chips were crunchy. Steak was a little bit chewy even if rare or fully cooked but was fine. Kids enjoyed it. Salad might need a bit more dressing. Decent sized serving.

Last dined at the Strathmore Hotel a few years ago and a friend suggested we revisit for dinner on Sunday of the June long weekend. So glad we did. Arrived and noticed the new interior renovations looked great. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. We decided to order the Beef & Reef stone grill while our friend ordered the schnitzel. All our meals were sensational. The rump steak was lovely and tender - melted in your mouth. Can't wait to return and would happily recommend to family and friends.

Ordered two stone steaks, which was great for the two of us. The first steak arrived and the hostess had the pepper grinder with her which was lovely. Unfortunately when my steak arrived and I requested the pepper grinder as well because we all know that a steak with a salt and pepper crust is better. Well Unfortunately after several attempts to attract her attention to obtain that all important pepper. It never arrived! Which kind of spoilt the whole thing for me...

Excellent meals they were very nice couldn't fault them! Line up to order food was very long. Maybe another person to take food orders? Can not fault the meals though, compliments to the chefs last night! If you're looking for a great Chicken Schnitzel in Adelaide, this is a great spot! Awesome chips too!

Was lovely, worth a visit, food was marvellous, good size portions, service was excellent our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. was a great experience.

Nice Sunday lunch service. Staff were friendly & the drinks went down well. The Pork Ribeye was extremely Tasty. 😋 highly recommended 👌

Took my daughter here for lunch and it was delicious. We had 3 different areas/menus to choose from and the selection was was awesome. We opted for the cheaper meals but they certainly didn't disapoint.

It was very busy, but we still got good service and the food was really good. Enjoyed my cocktail too!

If there was a rating of 0 that's what it would be. My wife went there tonight for dinner before opening night of Rocky Horror and it was disgraceful. After arriving at a timely 5.45 and promptly ordering by 6pm they waited nearly 1 hour for a schnitzel, salt and pepper squid and 4 beef skewers. Tables that arrived well after them were receiving their meals and when they question how much longer the meals would take as they had a show to go to were told "so does everyone". A manager came and spoke to them and he could do with some customer service skills and conflict resolution he offered no reasonable response and even asked if they wanted to cancel their order. There was no offer of anything for the inconvenience not even a soft drink. By the time her meal came out it her schnitzel looked like it was floating in fat and the vegetables she ordered instead or the salad were disgusting the whole meal was not good. The other two meals were ok. My wife is a regular client when she goes to the theatre and told this to the manager and said she won't be back but he didn't seem to be bothered at all by this. If you know you have a large volume of people coming in for tea before the theatre clearly you should reflect that with the volume of staff in the kitchen I don't think this was the case or the staff on were inexperienced. Either way poor meal and extremely poor customer service

Great place on a Sunday for lunch,got in before it started getting busy ,food was perfect , they always say you can tell how good a place is by the patrons, and there was plenty. Would go back again , thanks for good food and service.

Staff very friendly and efficient, top meal, just what we needed before heading off to the Footy. Definitely recommend, and that’s why we go back.

Stopped in for a quick feed n drink before the cricket with mates, place was packed but still got served quick and only waited like 15 mins for 3 meals to come! Thought we would be waiting longer, nit that it would have bothered us as place was busy as... food was great too.

I celebrated my birthday the food was great and the staff were amazing highly recommend this restaurant.
