Situated in the Rundle Place food court, this slice of Indonesian heaven will surely satisfy the old taste buds.
This place does handmade noodles, so I was keen as a jelly bean to give them a go! I was craving ramen, so decide to try it and the noodles were made to perfection and the condiments/broth ratio was spot on. I also ordered one Bao on the side and it was full of fresh ingredients bursting with flavour. A tad soggy, but hardly noticeable. Overall, both dishes were quite yummy!
My friend ordered pork and noodles, which I tried a bit of and it was delicious. We also ordered chips with mayo sriracha sauce; the chips were super delicious!
Definitely recommend this place if you’re ever near the food court. I’ll defs be coming back to try more food from this place. 👌
Been there at the front of coles in rundle mall, tried the bao bun, which is also quite like a snack in TaiWan,China, called 刈包~ I really like the soft bun outside and it's good choice for quick lunch
Overall the food is delicious, just like what we expected. But when we visit the cafe they have little to no more options for us to choose our toppings, they just had 3 options for us which is a bit disappointed for visitors like us (because we had been told from our friends to try the roasted pork but they didn’t have it) but service is good, maybe if youre lucky they have the roasted pork MUST TRY!!
Not your typical traditional bakmi noodles like the ones they do back in Indonesia, but it is nevertheless a delicious bowl of goodness to warm the soul!
🍽️: Hainanese Chicken, Soy Mushroom Chicken w Rice / Spinach Noodles
👍: Chicken is tender, noodles are hand made and have great texture, soy mushroom sauce goes really well with the noodles, good portion sizes, friends love their homemade chilli sauce
👎: Deep fried items can go a little cold sometimes
📝: Dined at Rundle Place food court, they have a deal special: Hainanese Chicken Rice/Noodle + spring roll + drink (black / chrysanthemum tea) for just $10.70,
Couldnt find a better place to go out for dinner with my wife and boys, the food clearly has a lot of time put into it being made to perfection we always have our friday or saturday eat out nights there and have never been disappointed, the staff are great too
Our favourite combo is spinach infused noodles with braised pork and chicken and mushroom the bao are a must to have as well
I had seen a few photos of this place from insta and put it in my bucket list to try. I asked my husband to go and check this place out with me. We went to their Weymouth branch. I had the roast pork with rice and he had the braised pork belly with spinach infused noodles. Unfortunately, my roast pork was very dry and slightly burnt so I asked for it to be replaced. Instead for asking for the roast pork, I had the braised pork belly instead. They apologised and even gave us spring rolls and wontons. For that they deserve a point for good service. The braised pork belly and the wonton were very tasty. Maybe at some stage will go back and try the chicken.
Our favourite restaurant in adelaide! The kids are always begging us to go back and we absolutely love it every time we do!
The food is incredible and the staff are so kind and welcoming
Been going for the past year most weekends and the food has been perfect every time
UberEATS is avail with them too! Which makes our life so much easier if we are too busy to get there but craving the best noodles in town!
I've been wanting to try Bakmi Lim for ages and finally got the chance to visit their Waymouth store. I love any place that makes their noodles in house, and I was very impressed by Bakmi Lim! The staff were friendly and helpful, the place had a casual, chilled out atmosphere and of course the food is delicious. The Roast Pork noodles were fantastic, and my vegan boyfriend loved the Tofu and Mushroom Rice Noodles. In future we'd love to see some more vegan options, especially a vegan side dish as there currently are none. I loved this place and I'll definitely be coming again!
Headed in with a few work colleagues. Quick service and food prep, good size meal for lunch, and a decent price to wrap it all up! Will head back there again for sure!
Taste was awesome! Spinach noodles with bbq pork and roast pork bao on the side. Highly recommed trying this place. The bao was good but the bowl is enough to fulfill for sure. Yum yum
I got here for lunch just a little before 12pm. When I arrived the place was quiet, the staff was efficient and friendly, but I could not help feeling a little sceptical when he wrote my name in a plastic bowl. But....after my noodle was served and I started eating, the crowds poured in and the line was formed real fast. By now I had also the taste of my noodle which I enjoyed. The noodle texture is thick and springy which is nice, the chicken and mushroom toppings are tasty, added with crispy fried onions. It even came with generous size of veggies. The chilly sauce is a killer, make sure to have it served separately from the noodle if in doubt.
I've had bakmi lim twice so far. No doubt, it's quite good - but definitely up there in the more expensive meals. I've always ordered the spinach noodles with roast pork, fried wontons, and a drink. I've tried the chrysanthemum tea and the pandan soy milk which was both very good! They don't put enough meat in the bowl in my opinion, but I do like their spinach noodles - it's quite unique. Otherwise, the meal is quite good for a light bite.
Went to Bakmi for lunch today and had the spinach infused noodles with chicken and mushroom topping. It was really good. Quick friendly service and fresh yummy food at a good price.
David Lim remembers growing up in Indonesia and having savoury noodles for breakfast from the countless Noodle Shops found on every corner in Jakarta. "It was like a family tradition for us. If we weren't eating out my father loved making noodles from scratch and with this shop I aim to continue his legacy ", says David. In case you are wondering (like we were..), the name Bakmi Lim simply translates to"Noodle Lim".
Portion is decent for the cost. Ordered the chicken with mushroom with spinach infused noodles. Sauce was not too bad and its slightly watery. The wonton skin was fried nicely but didnt feel so oily/unhealthy.

You may have walked past this Indonesian eatery on Waymouth Street sometime in the last four months, and if you haven’t been in yet we encourage you to do so. Bakmi Lim Noodle Project is exactly what it sounds like; an Indonesian-inspired handmade noodle joint that focuses on presenting a small number of dishes with a large amount of flavour.

Another new comer to a packed Adelaide noodle scene. Originally a regular in food festivals, Bakmi Lim or Lim's noodle is no stranger to Indonesian community in Adelaide.
With roast pork noodle and bao in its arsenal, this place brought a new style to the market.
Great service, great tasting handmade noodle are main focus to this place. With Bintang beer in the fridge, this remind me of beer from back home!
However when served with eco cups, this brought a 4.5 score to 4 as you cant really serve great noodle taste in a cartoon cup. Please bring back a normal noodle bowl for us to feast on :)
Staff members were friendly and the food was great!
The noodles were cooked perfectly in al dente with special sauce. The texture was more like Shanghai noodles but slightly different in taste. I ordered two bowls of original noodles with roasted pork and mushroom and tofu. Mushroom and tofu...
David the host provided us with Excellent service , and great food. Came to seek feedback on ways to improve, however we had nothing to complain about.
He even offered to top out drinks and thanks us for our support.
Portion sizes are more than adequate for what you pay for.
The have simple menu with minimal selections and do it very well. Definitely worth checking out
Service is great, food is made fast and tastes amazing! I always look forward to the next time I'm in the city so I can have Bakmi Lim for lunch!!
2 types of noodles, 5 different toppings, 4 different sides. A simple menu done amazingly well! My pick is the traditional noodles w charsiu & roast pork (but the chicken & mushroom topping comes a very close second). Limited seating in the modern deco/ vintage indo restaurant so be prepared to wait or just get take away!
Very tasty!!! I had the spinach noodles with the combination pork with a side of steamed dumplings. A good portion of noodles, meat, greens, crunch and spice.
Very nice texture and chewyness on the noodle. There is another healthier option of spinach noodle. Topping is quite generous and it can be mixed and matched to each individual favourites. They also do serve the toppings with rice as an alternative.
They do have some sides option available. Sriracha mayo fries and wontons will do nicely if you would like that bit of extra on the side.
Overall a very good quality and enjoyable food experience.
Best food ever amazing customer service I’m so full I’m never going to eat again until my next stop here
Recently went there for takeaway lunch. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting it to be that good. It was delicious. I loved the food 🍲a lot. Would love to explore more of their dishes. Cheers!!
I have walked past this place a few times and had no idea how good the noodles were. When I think of noodles I don't often think of Indonesian but now its all I'm thinking about. All the noodles are hand made in store and the broth is amazing. I got half pork half chicken and wow, I will be coming back for sure. Its a small place so I assume they do a lot of take away around lunch time.
The menu is small but from what we were all saying everything we got was delicious.
Me and my husband love their noodles! It's the best in adelaide. Their chicken, bbq and roast pork noodles are full of flavours and really mouthwatering. They have a stall in rundle place mall, that is were we always dine whenever we go to rundle mall.
You can have yummy and fresh noodles here! Staffs are very friendly and kind, also I love that corn chip? on noddles. My recommendation on topping is combination !
Fresh rice noodle soup! The best tofu and mushroom soup in Adelaide! The handmade noodle is fresh and special as well
