Great night during Fringe. Best wine and food in Ebenezer place. Lovely staff who kept smiling even under pressure.
Lovely atmosphere and delicious food with a great wine list - highly recommend! I'm going back on Friday!
Fabulous!! Lovely location & ambience. There were 5 of us and we shared a number of dishes. Have to say I could live on the duck riletttes, yum!! The baked Camembert, halloumi and charcuterie board were also delicious not to mention an excellent wine list. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely be back.
Excellent choice of wine and delicious cheese plate to enjoy it with. Venue and service were both fabulous - highly recommended :-)
This was the highlight of my eating experiences in Adelaide. Adriano, you are an inspiring chef. Haloumi, kingfish!!! Great service, Patrick. It's the first place i'll come to next time we visit your city again.
Great spot in the East End. Bringing you a different vibe to a pub or a standard bar. The staff are friendly, educated in their wine and happy to have a chat to help educate others too! The food is higher on the price scale but always delicious and served up quick. No matter how busy it is!
Great place to catch up with friends excellent location lovely wine and nibbles
First time there and was really a nice atmosphere. A bit pricey but worth it I suppose
We love Mothervine. The staff are helpful and very friendly. Every wine is good and we have enjoyed the variety of food we have tried.
Great place to have a drink and socialise! Staff are super friendly!
Another excellent venue in the East End with a serious range of beers/wines, etc, excellent food and great staff. Trying a Gunpowder Negroni is a must when you visit!
Huge thank you to Trevor and the team for hosting my birthday lunch, it went off without a hitch and everyone loved both the food and the staff. Highly recommend the venue. Haven't had better service.
Great wine list, food and service. Trev's iPod playlist was fabulous!
So lovely. Atmosphere great. Service spot on. Enjoyed a few cocktails 🍹
Nice spot on a Monday night. Good service, nice ambience. Had the olives and an Eden Valley Riesling followed by the spiced lamb shank and a glass of Pinot Noir. Staff were friendly and attentive.
Could find decent food and wine on Rundle street Easter Monday at 3pm then found this place
Pleasant service great bar food and a good wine list
It was a lovely surprise
Had a good wine selection. Liked how they have three different serving sizes: tasting size, half and full glass.
Nice ambiences to hang out for drinks. Good food option. I liked how they even have blind tasting games for some fun!
Mother vine is a nice place for a quick drink or catch up with friends. They have a great wine list with plenty of options available and there is a small selection of food on offer. Think small plates or platters to share with friends. It's got a chilled vibe and it's in a perfect location just off Rundle street. Try it out, you will enjoy.
Came here on a late winter, Sunday afternoon; enjoyed the cheese platter & generous serving of dips. Good music & service. Pleased to be somewhere that had a few customers at this time of day & so had some atmosphere.

This self-proclaimed wine bar is all about tasting and learning more about wine, without the snobbery. Mother Vine would be a great option if you’re after a serious wine fix and don’t have time to make the drive out to the Barossa or Adelaide Hills.
In many ways, Mother Vine is very similar to its across-the-road neighbour The Tasting Room (minus the shop front). Whereas The Tasting Room is all warmth and wood panelling, Mother Vine is much more contemporary, adorned by concrete, black tiles and bar stools.
As you’d expect, we had a hard-to-choose-from wine list put in front of us, from which we enjoyed a glass of the Pinot Grigio, while we also enjoyed the views of the Ken doll-lookalike waiter.
Great vibe.. Friendly staff. Cosy-cool atmosphere. Good stream of uber funk and lemonjelly-esque sounds. I love it. Cheese-board and Grenache weren't bad either.
Thoroughly enjoyed Mother Vine - great ambience, a good selection of delicious foodstuffs (can definitely recommend the Mothers Board and the mushrooms with polenta) as well as friendly service and a comprehensive wine list.
Get onto it, you can't go wrong.
Great food, great wine, great service. Very interesting wines and a good sized list with knowledgeable and passionate staff. Lovely place to sit outside and relax.
Really nice, sat outside and just felt really good and comfortable! Wine list so good! Food simple but perfect accompaniment. Waiting staff friendly and attentive
A very cool little place in the equally cool Vardon Avenue.
The wine list is good and the food is really well presented with good flavours.
It's the kind of place I go for the ambience alone, and the nice food is just a bonus.
Always a favourite for a quick glass of bubbles with friends. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and there selection of wine is incredible. Can't wait to go and sit through a wine degustation!
We came here for some after work relaxing on a Friday Night & I had a great time. The Ambiance on such a lovely warm day was buzzing and relaxed, with super lovely service. We were greeted straight away and we sat on a large share table.
Mothervine is relatively new and the interior is relaxed wine-bar-industrial with a HUGE regulated wine cellar. The wine list is like a book, absolutely huge and overwhelming, however the reds & whites were broken down for ignorant wine lovers to understand (read: me). Luckily the waiter gave us some great suggestions & I ended up with a Pinot & my drinking partner with a Shiraz. I was able to order my wine, food, set up a tab & pay all from my table. JOY!! :D
There are also share plates & bigger meals available - we ordered Cider Braised Chicken & the Warm Roasted Beetroot salad to share between us, and it was perfectly sized to do just that. Both meals were great. The Chicken fell apart and tasted delicious with the cider sauce & peas. The salad was brilliant with feta, beetroot and the occasional crunch of roasted almond. Perf.
I had a great experience here to begin my friday night & unwind after work. In the nice buzz of ebenezer, it makes for the perfect summer location!
Always a winner! We ordered the motherboard platter and some haloumi, washing it down with a Chablis and a Burgundy. The staff are awesome, friendly and knowledgeable.
No vegetarian option. Once again I was surprised and disappointed that an eatery had no vegetarian selection. Really, Adelaide, you must be able to do better. After a discussion with staff I was able to manage a frittata. The food was delicious and the wine list is good but vegetarians should not have to go through the hassle of arranging a ''special'' meal.
A quality bustling wine bar tucked away in the hip end of the city. A great selection of wines is expected and it delivers. To accompany your drink they have a range of platters, we opted for some cheese and nibbles which we all loved. Super spot...
Fantastic place; could be anywhere in the world. Great selection of wines, and Ali Seedsman's food is - of course - amazing. Coming back.
Devine. I took my friend from New York to MotherVine last night, my inaugural visit and we loved it! A wonderful array of wines available by the glass and also in tasting sizes but we settled for a lovely Yarra Valley Pinot. There was the option of a Vasse Felix wine tasting but we declined as we had so much to catch up on.. Food is by well known Adelaide chef/caterer Ali Seedsman and we chose duck confit with lentils, the beef tagine and the meatballs. The food was devine as we have come to expect from this very talented woman. The service is friendly and professional and the place has a nice buzz. I love the decor and the stylish restrooms finish off what has been a masterly reconctruction of the old East End Cellars. Can't wait to go back.
What a spot! I’m so glad MotherVine made it to my last night in Adelaide list.
My friend and I did the secret wine tasting and failed epically at guessing the wine types, but it was such a cool addition to the already beautiful venue!
We shared the cheese/meat platter which was delicious and very fresh, and the waiter took the extra effort to separate the nuts from the board for my friend who couldn’t eat them.
The menu was extensive and the staff very all very lovely.
Exceeded expectations that’s for sure, what a vibe! I actually wish I got more photos 🙂
Mother Vine was a really nice night out for dinner and drinks. We celebrated my friends birthday there. So you can book big tables if you need.
Unfortunately they didnt have some of the wines we wanted and they ran out of potatoes. BUT we had a really nice waiter named Liam and he said they only had 6 potatoes left and we got the last ones!! So we Thankyou Liam for feeding us pigs! They were delicious! Liam looked after us all night, even though they didnt have some of the wines we wanted, he looked for the alternative, and they too, were delish!
The staff were so great and the food was absolutely mouth watering! Would recommend trying out Mother Vine at least once. I had the Gnocchi and it was very tasty, I may of been burping up some chorizo a few hours after - but it was totally worth it! The pumpkin dip was also delicious, but the halloumi and chilly honey was the star for me!! I would eat that over and over again!!!
Thankyou for a great night out Mother Vine.
Service was excellent. Our server was extremely helpful and didn't make me feel judged for being a complete wine novice. He recommended perfect wines to accompany my food. Food was amazing, lamb melted in my mouth and i had the most amazing creme brulee I've ever eaten. My overall experience was so pleasant thanks mainly to the staff on service who were warm and welcoming.
Service was great, Sunday jazz band were great though quite loud so if you want to have a conversation sit outside. I would return for the wine knowledge from staff and the music. Snacks on the pricey end. Would be great if customers can choose a few things to snack on with the wine without spending so much for basics
Lovely generous food & amazing wine. Good service. Not a cheap night but worth every cent we spent. Highly recommend you give Mother Vine a visit in Adelaide
As well as their extensive beer collection, Mother also has a great selection of wines. We really enjoyed the service with a engaging team who entertained how lit we were on a Sunday night. Great venue for casual drinks and catch up with friends
Great selection of wine and excellent small share plates, with a modern, casual look and quiet music to enjoy conversation. I would highly recommend Mother Vine as a first stop for date night
