Review East Borough Eatery - Adelaide

Masoud Dehghan
One of the high quality cafés in Adelaide. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by one of the staff. Staff are so friendly and explain the menu. Food arrived on time. Brunch menu has good variety. Coffee was well prepared. Good options for kids. Couple of things to keep in mind: Toilet including change room for babies are outside of the cafe. We found it clean. You may park your car off the street but it would be recommended to park it on one of the side streets.

I loved the vibe here, totally Winter morning kinda cafe. Happy and friendly staff, everything was fresh, yummy and hearty, however BANANA CASHEW TOAST is the highlight of the my Sunday brunch, it was so so good, cashew sauce was so creamy and the whole sweet and salty flavours were going so well together.

Walked in without a reservation. Kindly greeted, tables spaced evenly providing us to enjoy a private conversation over breakfast. Menu was full of great options but not the ordinary items. Our dishes were full of flavour and super delicious. Coffee and juices were also a hit. Overall a really great experience. Only comments to make is the price is a little high but overall worth it and also if I can give any advice I would highly reccomend discussing dress code with staff. I felt a little uncomfortable as the waitresses mini skirt was exposing her buttox.

Food and coffee was great BUT this is yet another eatery which ignores the simple rules of design to minimise the noise from other diners. Flat hard surfaces just amplify the din, and those are all you will find here. If your hearing is less than perfect, avoid this place like the plague when it is busy.

Breakfast was delicious but they forgot our drinks order. They were not that busy so not ideal. The food however was absolutely on point and they add a poached egg to the smashed avo which you normally pay extra for.:)

I would highly recommend East Borough Eatery for breakfast. Friendly staff, prompt service and yummy food. I had Saffron Beny and a Turmeric Latte absolutely the best.

Simple, hearty, fresh and tasty food! Wonderful coffee, beautiful atmosphere and friendly staff! That’s all you need to start your weekend with an amazing brunch. Good verity of choices for brunch and nice selection of freshly squeezed juices.

Was in Adelaide for the week and this became our local. The food, coffee and service are second to none. The bacon and egg bun was the best I've ever had. Lovely staff who made us feel welcomed from day one. It's a shame we are leaving Adelaide today as this place is the best! Will definitely be back when I'm back in Adelaide!

One of our favourites. Best breakfasts in Adelaide. Stunning ambience, friendly and helpful staff. The food is incredible, great value for money and generous serves. Coffee 👍 Easy to park too. Owner is absolutely lovely, welcoming and always chatty and genuinely glad to see his customers. Highly recommend

The chocolate chip cookie smoothie was bland and not worth $8.50.

Room for improvement! I went there last week for coffee and cake. Actually ordered a hot chocolate which was barely luke warm and the carrot cake which was probably a very nice cake when first made had dried out. I had high hopes because loved Bar 9, but was disappointed. Decor is very fresh and inviting, service was good but it was quiet at the time. Not sure if I'll re-visit.

Exceeded my expectations. Great Food, Great Staff, Great Service.<br/><br/>We had a last minute farewell lunch for a colleague and when I spoke<br/>to the owner Silvia, the morning of, she was more than happy to accommodate our<br/>booking. I even pre-ordered our lunch meals and they came to the table hot and<br/>in record time. FANTASTIC PLACE. would recommend to all!!!!

Service was nice. Food was average and expensive for what it was (my bacon and sides was $25...) Hollandaise tasted like lemon curd. Unlikely we will return.

Fantastic service.<br/>The first thing I asked was if I could add items that weren't on the extras list, the response I got was "Of course, easy done!"<br/>If your breakfast starts with a response like that, it can only get better - and it did.<br/>A little pricey but worth it.<br/>Produce was fresh & well presented.

Met a friend for a quick brekky and coffee. We both had young babies which was not an issue here (in terms of space for 2 prams and 1 highchair). Food was lovely and coffee was nice. Would go back

Good food, not too badly priced and the milkshake was super tasty. The day we went we had to line up for a while so best to get in early or book.

At first glance, the menu seems very promising... Innovative and interesting. I had the zucchini and corn fritters with poached egg and spicy relish ... It wasn't a bad dish but the balance wasn't right. The relish was too sweet and in combination with the sweetness from the corn , it just didn't give the dish a nice balance. From other reviews, it seems like the sweet dishes are worth the try- might do that next time ! Great service though!

East Borough have a menu full of inventive dishes, which appears to change with the seasons. My friend and I really enjoyed our hearty breakfasts of waffles and pancakes. The latter was of the iced Vovo variety, which brought me back to my childhood.

What used to be Bar 9 in Parkside has been replaced with a new cafe called 'East Borough Eatery'.  I loved Bar 9 and therefore had quite high expectations with this cafe.  The moment we stepped into the cafe, we were welcomed by friendly staff members.

What a good find this was.  We had known the premises as somewhat of an 'out there' coffee shop which was full of students sprawling around with laptops and spinning out a coffee over an hour.  No longer... it has been redecorated and is light, bright, clean, nice furniture and a great menu selection for that quick lunch.<br/>The place was bubbly and the staff very attentive and efficient - meals were served in record time, yet were freshly cooked and well presented.  <br/>I had ham hocks salad - huge serve, amazing presentation and a great tasting meal.  My wife and my grand-daughter both chose pizza - the bases were just right - not crisp and not doughy - the toppings seemed to be chef selected meats and supplements - all quality ingredients and generous serves.  <br/>As a nice touch, they offered to box up the portion of pizza that our youngster couldn't eat.<br/>Oh, the coffee was great too - far more to my liking than the previous offering.

Feb 18, had the mushrooms. Was really disappointed. Only the cheap button mushrooms were served. Dish was very dry and too expensive at $21 for veto. Came back September 17. Ordered fritters with poached eggs. <br/>I loved Bar 9, so I had high hopes when this new place took over. I was a little disappointed in the menu. The menu was too simple for me. I don't like paying good money for breakfast that I can cook at home. I can poach a mean egg, I can cook bacon. I can smash avocado. I can put these separate elements on a plate, so when I go out for breakfast I want a balanced dish, and something different than eggs benedict. Over time I am sure this place will get more creative with their menu. Since nothing savoury stood out, I ordered the apple waffles. I never order sweets for breakfast I thinks that is a bad way to start the day, but OMG these were amazing. The apples were perfectly cooked, the syrup was not sickly sweet, As you can see below, the dish was also beautiful to look at.
