Adidas Ababa Cafe is going to be a good, staple, local take out & dine in restaurant for me. My partner introduced me to this Ethiopian place only a short time ago and from first bite Ive been hooked! I love Indian and although it's a gravy like veggie sauce (like Indian curry) the spices, overall texture and flavour are totally different. It's a really remarkable combination of sweet and savoury which somehow works really well. Their veggie/Vegan options are plentiful. Also, there's no cutlery in the restaurant which means reliving childhood finger eating!
Highly recommend Adidas Ababa for a new tastebud treat as well as cultural education.
An amazing and unique dining experience I would highly recommend to everyone. Our band Pulse dined together and were made to feel at home by Zed, his beautiful mum and staff. The food is all hand made and lovingly prepared with so many delicious flavours to sample. We loved the banquet option which enabled us to sample many different dishes. Such a fun experience and we all raved about the food and service for the entire 3 and a half hours we were there. We will all be coming back and bringing our families and friends too! Congratulations to you all :)

Such a special dining experience; one where I truly felt transported to another culture. Service was amazing and the food is spectacular. It's so nice to have an abundance of vegan options on the menu. The red lentils are spectacular. Is there any way we can learn to make them?

For the last ten years, Addis Ababa has reliably and consistently provided food of the best quality in Adelaide. I endorse this place without any hesitation or reservation. Everyone should not only eat here, but should go out of their way to eat here. Great work Zed, keep it up!

Yum! What a great experience! The yellow split pea stew is to die for! If you're vegan or vegetarian Addis Ababa has great options for you! Great atmosphere as well. Highly recommended for a different and delicious experience.
My family got together for a get together. People from all over the place, including New York and London. Even grandchildren came.
We had meat and vegetarian needs. Both were satisfied. The food was lovely.
Wow, our time during COVID means that it's hard to get staff.
We were served by the owner, bar tender, server and chef. One person!

This place is so wonderful! The food is so tasty and the setting is so warm - the injera was the best, and the owners are lovely; they were so kind to our merry toddler who loved her special meal. Thank you so much :)
Great food and very friendly staff. Good value for money and open until late. They also offer banquet menu that seems to be a bargain if you are very hungry. Otherwise the platters are big enough to fill anyone. They got plenty of vegetarian options too.
Not as good as when the original owners had it, however definitely better than African Village. The mixed platter/banquet is definitely the way to go if it’s your first time visiting- large selection of different stews and the like, and you won’t leave feeling hungry.
Not only is the food completely beautiful but the service is great, too. I ordered the vegan platter. Just beautiful. Also the spiced tea and the coffee. Very authentic, traditional Ethiopian food.
Every time I walk into Addis Ababa I feel as though I am transported to Ethiopia despite having never been. The owners have done a fantastic job with their selection in Ethiopian music, decor, artworks and menu options. I've had take-away via Menulog before which was great, but in my opinion the experience in-restaurant is unbeatable. I love how dim the lighting in the restaurant is during dinner service. It's relaxing and a much needed get-away for even just a moment from the outside world. Definitely come here if you're looking for something 'different'. The other reviews have done a fantastic job already on their thoughts about the food, I can't add anything more other than to definitely give it a go!
