Hands down the best coffee in Adelaide. So good in fact, I'll drive out of my way during the week into the CBD and find parking, just to enjoy one of their brews (ok, maybe two, since I've made the effort). Also, the pulled pork sandwich is delectable, I lose myself in each bite. 5 stars well earned.
Amazing breakfast food, good coffee and great service.
Wonderful Service and beautiful coffee. Love the Belgian waffles with bacon and maple syrup.
The best coffee in town ! You must check it out ! Love love
At last, table service in a funky frenchy cafe in Adelaide. Love it!
Exquisite food and beautiful surroundings. Great service from owners Jacqui and Christophe.
Excellent!!
Based on some web reviews and a good feeling when we walked past JUNIPER we booked and enjoyed a lovely meal here
Great menu with plenty of options
Impressive wine list and decent wine by the glass
Warm friendly service and they noted our tight timetable to get to the airport
Well worth more visits
Highly recommended
Been there twice…french toast really impressed me a lot,the toast was so soft and I will be back there soon!:)
Also the omelette is not bad,but not as impressed as the french toast
What a gorgeous cafe! The moment I arrived at the front of it I felt like I was in Paris! Inside is provincial inspired and just beautiful. I was in a rush so ordered a takeaway coffee and croissant. Very quick service. The croissant was flaky and delicious. Coffee was perfect. Highly recommend.
Fantastic coffee and breakfast mean this is a shore thing for good food.
The French toast is and winner and the ham and cheese sandwich was yummy.
We’ll be back.
Store looks amazing, had the dry aged steak, my partner had the smoked salmon, best salmon we had for a while, rich flavor but still tender.
absolutely gorgeous. Would definitely comming back.
There’s no chance of missing this French cafe in Ebenezer Place with its gigantic tiled “Hey Jupiter”, bright green door and green tiles. The waiter’s accents will enchant and there’s a small selection of delicious pastries; we enjoyed an almond croissant and brioche toast with apricot jam.
Feeling a little peckish after a long Sunday morning walk, we decided it would be a good idea to get some breakfast. Located within the charming Ebenezer Place, Hey Jupiter is a little islet of France. The green awning canopy, white bricks, and contrasting bold text of this cafe transported us to a different place.
We ordered two flat whites, and a cassoulet for a generous sum.
The flat whites were delicious and creamy, and we were taken aback at how rich the coffee was! That was definitely a highlight.
The cassoulet came with a side of very springy, rustic bread. The cassoulet itself was full-bodied and rich, but lacked distinction between the different meats it offered in the dish. Although the overall experience was fantastic, no individual component stood out for us.
In summary, Hey Jupiter is a pretty cafe with interesting decor worth your time for a nice meal.
It's a unique and pretty french cafe. Cafe has two area, indoor and outdoor. Indoor area is too small, the distance between one table to another just squishy tho the design interior is so beautiful. You can see the chef cook the food from the seating area.
Feels like in france, greeted with a native french girl that really nice, friendly and elegant, escorted us to the table. After have a look the menu we ordered sandwich du matin (pancetta, avocado, baby spinach and mayo) with fries and roast pork sandwich (with cumin, spice slaw and parsley) with fries. The food are nice, I like the baguette that soft but it crusty are crispy. Service was good, typical europe restaurant, polite, friendly but has a class. I definitely will come back and try another menu.
Very French in atmosphere, it was very pleasant sitting outside. Our breakfast was good, the cassoulet looked good but didn't have the texture of others that I have had - the meat blended in with the sauce - you couldn't really differentiate between the duck, pork belly and pork hock. Good taste though and the addition of the goats curd was nice. A nice serving of bread on the side but maybe slightly overpriced. The Hey Jupiter eggs that my friend had were a totally different story - everything was layered in a bowl and covered with fried eggs, again with good bread on the side. Good coffee. Friendly staff.
Beautiful french restaurant with amazing ambience!Seatings were very close to each other.
Food was quite authentic which includes french onion soup, croque monseiur!!
A cute and inviting facade tucked away down one of Adelaide’s little back streets. The service was friendly enough and the food good, the French do love their butter! Would visit again.
What an amazing French Cafe on Vardon Ave!! The place feels like ur in Melbourne not Adelaide, with bar, kitchen and closely seated tables all in the same space of eachother, really quirky decorated walls and great colour scheme and crockery. Lovely staff who were happy to have us there all day with no judgement and even offered us to stay for dinner haha!! Beautiful food and flavour combinations, and the Breakfast Martini was a standout drink for sure. Will return! 👌
Great little French sidewalk cafe near Rundle Mll East. Ambiance was relaxed and fun, service was good and had all the areas interesting people were walking past
I can’t comment too much on their menu because every time I go there i must order their pork belly sandwich- it.is.the.best! Crispy, crunchy, salty pork belly comforted by herbs and salad. The shop is a great place to catch up with friends, relax with a cup of coffee and sit in the sun. Can get very busy at lunch time sometimes, and there aren’t many seats in this small shop but worth waiting for.
My partner & I dropped into Hey Jupiter for a glass of wine on Sunday on our way to the movies. Impressed with the wine list & menu we decided to return for an early dinner. We were directed to a table in the corner which is recommended & given the wine list & dinner menu. The staff were efficient & friendly. There was a problem with our first wine selection, this was sorted quickly & professionally by the management. We shared two entrees & then shared the trout dish which was superb. This was an excellent dining experience. We will definitely be back. Oh, did I mention the great wine list.
Hey Jupiter is a fab looking cafe situated in Ebenezer Place with elegant jungle looking decor. Seating space is quite good (both inside and outside), and the whole place in general has a nice vibe.
The food and service on the other hand was very disappointing. After reading all these reviews, I was expecting to be greeted by friendly staff, but all I got was "are you done deciding yet?" before telling the owner we weren't ready to order and we were also waiting for a friend. Unfortunately, he was rude and lacked friendliness (probably because we were asian). My baked egg cocotte was expensive for something that was $19.50; it was small, overcooked and lacked flavour. While the tomato chutney was nice, I was expecting more than that. I felt more disappointed for my friends who ordered the waffles with bacon and mapel syrup; they only got one waffle that was the size of their hand.
Would I go back? Probably not and all because of rude service (except for the young barista guy who seemed to actually care about his patrons!).
A cute little cafe amongst the plethora of fantastic eateries in the area. I dropped by to take away a Toasted Muesli ($6.50) with Schulz organic yoghurt & honey ($4.50) and Smoked prunes and hazelnuts ($5.50). For a total of $16.50, it probably wasn't the most value-for-money breakfast around, but it was a generous serve and the ingredients were of great quality. The prunes were an interesting addition; it was my first time having them smoked, and also my first time having them in my muesli. It was a welcome addition in this case just for a bit of a change, but I can't say I particularly loved it.
Quite enjoyed the experience, the staff were very friendly, serving time from when we ordered was a tad slow but the food was wonderful.
This little cafe had a very cosy feel and their artwork gave us something to admire and look at while we waited for our meals.
Wonderful bursts of favours in both our dishes (Belgian waffle with bacon, maple, orange segments and marmalade and the toasted brioche with prunes nuts and other bits and bobs)
Had lunch here today with my eldest son and his gorgeous gf. Great decor and friendly staff. The young ones shared a pulled pork burger and declared it tasty, especially the crispy bits .... I opted for the smoked salmon salad with wasabi aioli (you pay extra to upgrade from a sandwich to a salad), they were very generous with the smoked salmon but the salad only consisted of baby spinach which I found disappointing and it was dressed with oil not wasabi aioli, a wedge of lemon would have been nice. At the end of the day, happy to have visited Hey Jupiter for the great company and decor.
Not too shabby. The food is rich and delicious, the staff are helpful and quant, the feel of the place is really enjoyable. However it's very small and cramped, and so is the food. For that kind of money I expect a bit more food or at least room to stretch my legs.
Quaint spot in Adelaide's lovely east end.
My friend and I arrived early to grab a table and indulge in the Toasted Brioche. Being a French cafe, you would expect this to be executed well, and Hey Jupiter certainly delivered. Beautiful piece of brioche, covered in creme fraiche, pistachio butter and peaches was a superb start to the day. The menu is small, however offers a few other tasty options.
Love this place!!!
It's in a great location and whether you sit indoors or outdoors it's still lovely.
If you come here you can't past on the pork belly sandwich. It's absolutely fantastic. My only issue is that the integrity of the sandwich can be problematic at times. My partner tried the wagyu sandwich and that was also pretty good.
I also ordered the ice chocolate and it's so cute and fancy!!
Can be a bit pricey though, at ~15$ for a sandwich.
However definitely will be back for more lunches!
Fantastic coffee, delicious sandwiches and one of the nicest spots sitting out under the cover overlooking vibrant Ebenezer place. The staff were friendly and accomodating! 😍
Cute little cafe in Adelaide CBD, love the quirkiness of this place, beautiful set up and so colourful! The food was great and I love that more cafes are providing gluten free options! I'm not usually a coffee drinker either but something told me to order a latte and I'm glad that I did, it was beautifully made and was probably one of the best coffees I've had! Had breakfast here on my last day in Adelaide and it truly finished the whole experience on a high for me, if I'm ever in Adelaide again I'm definitely coming back!
Great for eggs on toast or baked eggs, decent coffee too. I visited this cafe on the last day of tour down under so it was filled with cyclists enjoying a well deserved coffee and breakfast. Even though it was super busy, the service was great and the food arrived promptly.

Hey Jupiter has been on my to visit list for ages – I finally got there! It was a busy weekday afternoon, and I managed to snag a seat at the two-seater bar. The waitress was really helpful and got me a watermelon, apple and mint juice ($7.50) to kick things off – it came in a gorgeous flask and whilst much darker in colour than what I would expect from fresh watermelon, it was tasty and refreshing. Now, normally I’m not a sandwich kind of girl, but sandwiches seem to be Hey Jupiter’s forte, so I
Each time I have been here, it has been fantastic. The food is always great and the staff are always friendly. Service can some times be a little slow, which is understandable, as it frequently gets very busy for breakfast and lunch. If you are after a killer ham and cheese toasty, then this is the place to visit!
Feels like a little tiny pocket of Paris in Adelaide. The food is good and so is the coffee. The staff are friendly in a French kind of way.
Hey Jupiter is one of those restaurants where I see all the time but haven't had the opportunity, but today I had just that opportunity. Situated along with the other cafes, I know what sort of foods I was expecting.
I ordered the roast lamb and salad, which came encased in a bread roll. The lamb was cooked well with a nice serving of condiments that mixed well with the food. Im not one to always eat healthy foods but I quite enjoyed what I had at Hey Jupiter. Though it was a bit on the pricy side, but that no surprised as it was healthy foods.
Overall, if you're after a nice lunch that your body won't hate you for, Hey Jupiter has got you covered.
Lunch time and back onto Rundle Street for my weekly hunting. This week we ended up at Hey Jupiter. Every time i walk by this restaurant, there would always be a line and all the tables packed with people. We were quite lucky though, as a few tables just left when we got there.
As a huge salmon fan, i obviously ordered the smoked salmon sandwich no questions asked. My friend tried ordering the pork belly sandwich but sadly it was sold out. Not sure if he was impressed or disappointed that it was sold out so early into the day. He then opt with the lamb sandwich.
The sandwich itself wasn't very big which wasn't much of surprise, as we are eating healthy food after all. The bread was soft and fresh when i held and took a bite out of it. Each bite was contained of salmon, avocado, onions and a wasabi flavoured mayo. It was such a great combo i quickly finished mine and was tempted to order another one. The pricing restricted me from doing so. Although, the sandwich was great, their menu was more on the expensive side compared to some of the other places around.
Got a coffee and shared a waffle with a friend on a Saturday afternoon. I really liked the relaxed vibe. Service was pretty good. Overall an enjoyable experience :)
Our regular coffee spot for the past few years, before all the other cafés opened up on the east end. Always a great coffee nice and early in the morning. May not be to everyone's liking but it is unique and remain very popular despite the fierce competition from neighbouring cafés/coffee shops
Love this place and frequent it often. The coffee is top-notch, the food is fantastic, the service is great and the atmosphere is incredible. I strongly recommend it to anyone, whether its just for a coffee, or even breakfast. The owner is a delight. Read a lot of comments about it being overpriced, but paying an extra $1-2 is definitely worth it in my opinion.
Yum!. The pork belly sandwich was good! A friend and I dropped by for lunch midweek and it was super busy! I could probably understand the chaos that is happening behind the scenes with the staff.
Nice. Very busy but friendly staff. Food was nice but limited for lunch options especially for Vegos. Recommended.
$2$4$6$8 over priced!. Read some of the review, feeling quite sad with a lot of the Adelaide dinners, have to agree with lots of the eastern state dinners saying Adelaide people take things for granted and do not see food and restaurant from the other side, but only whats in the plate and $ on the menu.
who ever going to put another (-) feedback on price and food portions. please think would you do this for your life,
1. waking up early in the morning
2. go tru all the preperations
3. set the restaurant up
4. do service
5. clean up, pack up, get ready for tomorrow. ..... dont forget u need to pay your staffs $3/ hour (would you take this job?) and other expenses, for yourself do a 5 days week, 8 hours day get pay $1800/week(yeah! right)
bottom line is, this is not a bad place at all, very casual relaxing place, help urself, take your time BUT in consideration with they are doing business, limited seating, they need turn over to survive. its not like you spend $20 n u can stay for 45 mins. this is the biggerst problems in Adelaide. if they dont charge enough, it will ended up with $15 for 2, 45min to turn over, cheaper than McKers, yet McKers will still make more money for $7.5, and this is worth it? go n wrks out the seating capacity and how much they will make a day. any good man will turn bad if everyone else take them for granted, wouldnt you?
over price? $4.5/ coffe from Cibo is not over price? $15 glass of Gin n Tonic from a club is not over price? $1k+ for an iPhone 6 is not over price? but why every one can feed thier ego to big companies, but refuse to support good and small hard working business in Adelaide?
Adelaide people, please stop making ourself a clown in dinning industry for others to laughed us at.
there are too many experts out there whom has never worked in the business or industry for a day.
set your mentality right before you pick a place to dine in. no one is forcing you to walk into the particular place anyway. be fair to these hard working people, before Adelade loosing more small and interesting places.
As I am feeling a wee bit of European nostalgia this morning I felt a kick start with a Bloody Mary was in order, along with some pwar pwar chanson and some slow baked eggs. All delivered with appropriate aplomb by the wonderfully French staff at hey Jupiter. I'd be back every day if I didn't live in some backwater place way over on the west coast with a bunch of miners and rednecks...
A slice of France in Adelaide.. We had the continental breakfast which was delicious. The manager was extremely friendly. Coming back for sure.
Delicious food and drinks, great service and decor. Unfortunately no vegan options and not much that can be made vegan, so I wouldn't rush back simply for the lack of variety. Still highly recommended for non-vegans.
Great coffee and salted beetroot sandwich was amazing! Price might be a but more then other places but worth it for the quality.
Great but too expensive. As with most small entrepreneurial food businesses, they are expensive places to eat. There is no doubt that the pork belly sandwich is one of the most delicious lunches available in Adelaide, but it's a very small sandwich for the price. If it was twice as big, it would be better value. I have been here three times, but at almost $20 for lunch (sandwich and drink) it's just too much for a quick bite.
A little star. Someone told me that Adelaide doesn't have cafes, not like inner Melbourne has cafes. But they were wrong! This is a like a little slice of cafe heaven with good coffee, yummy sandwiches and a place where you can drop in solo and enjoy a quiet moment. Service is cool but not icy. I'll be back next time I'm in Adelaide town coz it feels like home.
"Nothing's been the same...". A french cafe was not what I was expecting from this place named after a Tori Amos song. Filled with hipsters and staff from the RAH, it is a very cute little spot.
Coffee is great, if not the best in the Rundle Street area and the sandwiches (though overpriced) are quite tasty.
Everyone raves about the pork belly and they have a tally on the wall stating how many kilos of the stuff they have sold but for me it was a very overrated sandwich.
Yummy sandwiches. I had the pork belly sandwich, which was delicious. The serving size didn't look as big as I expected, but was still quite filling. Also had an ice chocolate which well presented but quite average and overpriced. They have done a really nice job with the decor and the atmosphere is lovely. I would definitely recommend the sandwiches.
Hands down best coffee in Adelaide! Also quite possibly best sandwich ever. Such delicious combinations of flavours. Highly recommended.
Food was great. This place is all about the little things, crockery, table settings and total design is all quaint and beautiful. Service was okay, (presuming) the french owner was a little odd, but that seems to add to the whole experience. Good coffee too :)
Fantastic sandwiches good coffee and great service and location.

Probably the best sandwiches in Adelaide. You pay for the quality and we now come here every day! The coffee is also pretty good as well.
Absolutely delicious breakfast! Baked eggs, panchetta and mushroom with homemade chunky chutney
Perfection in every mouthful!. Love this place, amazing service, incredible food and just gorgeous inside! What more could you want? I'd heard that they do sandwiches but they are so good that I find it hard to just call them just sandwiches. There is nothing boring about the delectable flavour combinations that they put together, perfectly roasted pork belly, coq au vin and homemade falafel to name just a few. Every ingredient has been considered for its flavour and texture and is locally and seasonally sourced. These guys really understand food! The coffee is great too, yummy five senses. Ah and I can't seem to go by the baked eggs for breakfast which they do all day on Saturdays and in my experience additions or changes are no problem. And to that other reviewer, the eggs come baked or boiled because if you look closely they don't actually have full kitchen facilities so frying or poaching is probably a bit tricky! Oh and by set menu, do you mean they actually have a menu? Amazing?
Great addition to the Adelaide cafe scene.
New kid on the block. I've had a couple of coffees here and one of their pumpkin falafel sandwiches, and I've been happy with it all! I enjoyed the coffee though it probably could have been just a tad stronger. The sandwich was tasty but I thought it may have benefitted from another punch of flavour - maybe a bit more of the fetta or some spice. All of that said, I really enjoyed the service and the decor, I'll definitely be back to try it again!
This brunch joint is certainly a cafe I would like to attend and try others things on their menu. With a warm owner and crowd I rate this cafe 7 out of 10 stars.

I can't believe I've walked past Ebenezer Place this many times and have not gone into this little cafe. I have heard a lot of good things about Hey Jupiter. A few weeks ago I decided to go in.

Located in the East End of Adelaide on Ebenezer Place, a new establishment has recently opened its small doors to the public. Hey Jupiter is a french inspired cafe which serves up breakfast, lunch, coffees and some pastries
I pop in to the teensy Hey Jupiter which is a relatively new addition to the east end and about a ten second walk from Nano. From the outside, with its brightly-coloured cafe chairs and tables and shop-front-style window it looks like nothing special. But inside the walls are lathered a gorgeous green and studded with vintage mirrors, walnut-coloured stools and hutches crouch here and there and spheres of glass hang, pendulum-like from the ceiling, casting a sepia glow. It’s like having your coffee break inside a vintage terrarium.
A cute and new little gem on Ebenezer Place that goes by the name of Hey Jupiter creates gourmet sandwiches, all day breakfasts on Saturdays, coffees, juices and smoothies and a cabinet display of sweet treats and pastries from Au Matin Calme on Hutt Street.
Hey Jupiter is a little Café in Ebenezer Place in the East End Market area just around the corner from the Chocolate Bean . It has eclectic décor featuring a wall of mirrors with some of the notable entries in the wine list written on them. This is a breakfast and lunch place with good service and delectable lunches.
Visited for week-day brunch. Lovely little venue with a beautiful interior and exterior. Everything is curated to look beautiful, even the bathrooms. The staff were attentive and friendly. The coffee arrived very quickly and was very good. The food was simple, but delicious (noting, had a Continental Breakfast) with flavoursome cheese, shaved ham, soft boiled egg, toast and croissant + jam and butter. Recommend a visit for breakfast, lunch or dinner and wish they would open another venue interstate!
Amazing atmosphere, interior design and food. We got the French onion soup and duck. It even came with gluten free bread which was nice. As I’m GF. The staff are not the friendliest though.
Delicious Food. The Best and Only choice if u want to taste French style food in Adelaide. Excellent customer service. Price is a little high but worth it.
Photos don't do this place justice. Service was great, coffee superb and food delicious and ample in serving. We came back the next day for breakfast again
Yummy porkbelly baked beans combo (full of flavour) and poached eggs on white bread with ham and porcini mushroom. Yummy french food with beautiful french cafe setup. Good ambience and friendly service.
A slice of Paris in Adelaide. I was so happy with this place I’ll break it all down into a succinct small paragraph.
I’m pescatarian and I knew the french love fish and pork so looking around the menu I had lots of fish options including the special. My friend had the special Trout was Devine and I had the salmon Terrine was also mouth watering. So double yummy 🤤. I was greeted in french as well so that was a lovely touch. So heart warming.
If you're looking for the stereotypical French experience where the people are rude, everyone looks down their noses at you and the food is overrated, well then don't come to Hey Jupiter. The staff were friendly and polite, accommodating all of our dietary restrictions. The breakfast food was good (not great) and the coffee and tea were outstanding. What sets it apart was the ambiance of the place, it couldn't have been more parfait. Hearing the staff and patron's speak French really does make it feel as if you could be in France. I can't wait to bring back other family and friends so we can try lunch or dinner.
