Beautiful food. Not a fake bacon or imitation chicken ingredient to be found anywhere. Just a celebration of beautiful plant food and amazing flavours. The way it should be done. Highly recommended
My fritter was $6 heated, my friend had the slice for $8 heated, or $15 with two salad options. Both were served with caramelised onions. I really enjoyed the fritter and found it good value for money
Let Them Eat was established nearly nine years ago by Chef Tanya Agius and Danielle Frankish when they realised what a gap in the market there was for 'beautiful, handmade and rustic vegetarian food'. Starting out as a wholesale business and providing delicious vegetarian food to market stalls and cafes alike, Tanya and Danielle soon realised the wider demand for their food, leading them to open a cafe in the Adelaide Central Market.
I love this place! My favourite item on their menu is their sweet corn and feta fritters/patties, they are so flavourful but addicting- one is never enough :)
Let The Eat is a favourite of the wifes and on an Easter Saturday, we dropped by for lunch. Friendly lady took my order and we got a seat on a typically busy Market day. I tried the Egyptian Eggs with Fetta Fritter. The fritters were yummo and dukkah covered poached eggs fascinating. Along with caramelised onion and steamed spinach, a satisfying meal. Reasonable value at $16. LTEG menu looks fascinating so hope to come back.
I love this place, especially after I've done some shopping at the markets I always finish off my afternoon with food from here.
It's meat-free, healthy and super delicious. Their arancini balls and salad combos are divine. And if you're feeling indulgent, their vegan cupcakes are a must.
Always a fantastic meal. Amazing variety and flavoursome options for vegetarians. The only things I can fault are service (the guy who works there is pretty abrupt) and ambience. However, for a small space they do their best to provide some nice wooden warm feeling. The only other thing is that the prices seem a little expensive. But I keep coming back, the food is that good!
Love love love this place! The variety of delicious, flavour packed and wholesome vegetarian eats make the lunch decision extremely difficult...because I want it all :) everything on offer is made from local farmers markets and can be eaten in or take away. Beautiful ingredient combinations for all their menu items... from the salads to the fritters. FRESH, TASTY, AWESOME!
Let Them Eat is a vegetarian eatery located inside the Adelaide Central Market. I can not say much about the décor as they share a space with a few other takeaway stores but it definitely has an upbeat fast paced market atmosphere. They focus on delicious foods that are good for you and good for the environment with a belief that every customer walks away with happy taste buds, a satisfied belly and a sense of well being.
Stumbled across this yesterday whilst shopping in the central market.
It's nothing special to look at, open kitchen and chairs and tables in what is basically a walk way from one side of the market to another.
However, and it's a big however. I ordered the Egyptian Eggs. And wow is all I can say.
The soft poached eggs are coated in dukkah that somehow end up crunchy. He bowl also contained seasoned spinach, as mall amount of sliced avocado, 2 yummy corn fritters and some cold sweet potato chips.
The other menu items didn't appeal to me but I told them what a devine dish this was! They seemed pleased. $16.90
Let Them Eat has long been known for healthy takeaway lunches, but it wasn't until recently I noticed that they serve made-to-order dishes in the communal dining area behind the shop front.
I love that there is a breakfast menu with so many vegetarian options. I'll be back to try the lot, even if it takes me a while. The burgers sound particularly impressive, however I didn't have the appetite for something so filling on the morning of my visit. My breakfast was nice, and I really enjoyed the homemade hash brown (diners are given the option of one of these or a fritter). Their in-store menu differs to what is listed here.
Nice place for who likes healthy and vegetarian food. I was impressioned with the great food and choice that they have. A wonderful staff to respond to all our questions. Thanks
Very yummy when you don't feel like consuming any meat. Some serving are large, whilst others can seem a little over priced.
If getting takeaway make sure you don't let let put the salad separate or you can expect one soggy meal
Been wanting to try out Let Them Eat for months, and finally got around to visiting today. I took away a pack of 2 falafels with 3 salads ($15). The falafels were a generous size and definitely some of the best I have had - served warm, delightfully crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. It held shape extremely well despite not being dense at all. The salads I chose were a lentil salad, a cracked wheat salad, and a cous cous salad. I found that I had to eat the cracked wheat and cous cous salads together with the falafels as they were a bit bland by themselves. The lentil one was definitely the tastiest and the only one I found enjoyable eaten alone.
Overall it was a very satisfying lunch. However, at $15 it's not the best value and I could probably get an equally enjoyable meal for a bit less.
Amazing salads and fritters. Also, falafels. This place is a godsend. My favourite is the lentil salad, and the kimchi fritters. Staff friendly and knowledgeable.
Yummy generous healthy lunches that make you feel wholesome on the inside. Great experience and value for money. HUGE servings and choice of two salads with each offering. Yum.
I had a big bowl of a selection of salads and they were all so tasty. Great fresh food with plenty of vegan options. Great for snacks or big meals.
AMAZING FOOD!!. Had the Egyptian eggs for breakfast and they were DIVINE!!! Two perfectly poached eggs covered in amazing Dukkah, generous portion of avo, spinach, sweet potato chips and the best part a big fat sweet corn and zuchinni fritta with eggplant relish.. AMAZING! It was a hard choice between them and the Eve's Organic Fruit Bread filled with fresh banana, roasted Pecans and maple butter .... but went with the eggs and will have the toast next time I come back which will be VERY SOON!! keep up the great work guys :) :)
One of my new favourite places to eat in Adelaide and I'm not even a vegetarian.
Have been here twice already with the GF.
Everything I have tried so far has been simply amazing:
Sweet Potato & Goat Cheese Tart with Wholemeal Pastry
Spiced Chickpea & Roasted Capsicum
Mushroom & Caraway Parcel
Fresh Risoni Salad with Preserved Lemon
Would highly recommend this place to anybody. Is delicious, tastes amazing, and is good for you!
Very Epic Veggie Breaky Slider. Delicious and that dipping sauce is special

Lte Big Breakfast. It's big! It's good!
A welcome site at events around Adelaide. Gracing events and Farmer's Markets around Adelaide is the fresh, healthy and local Vegetarian / Vegan "Let Them Eat" - I don't know about you but just seeing their stall fills me with excitement. Mixed salads, Corn patties and generous homemade falafels are always a must for me. Only criticism which is out of their control is that they aren't able to serve hot food at the Wayville Markets- which is just more of an excuse to load up on their beautiful salads, and get some cold takeaways to take home!
Let Them Eat shop front in the Adelaide Central Market Adelaide Central Market, this foodies favourite spot for fresh and local produce with gourmet treats for young and old. C-bear and I gunned straight to the Let Them Eat stall inside the market for some healthy vegetarian goodies! Glass cabinet display of deliciousness Let Them Eat is locally SA owned and operated by Tanya Agius, a qualified chef with 18 years’ experience in fine dining restaurants. She started LTE as a retail store now turned little cafe serving food on site on Queen Street a few doors down from my usual go-tos: Queen Street Cafe and Red Door Bakery ; more quality gems down the one strip! Produce used is seasonal and locally sourced, therefore the food is of quality, freshness and are more than affordable. Let Them Eat to go box Light lunch: small item with a choice of 1-2 salads; $12.00 A thick savoury pancake of sweet corn and creamy Danish feta fritter with onion jam with huge scoops of beetroot & lentil salad
Another heaven on earth! My egg and cheese cravings are met and taken to a whole new level. I tried their food at a recent convention stand and had to track the place down. Know it’s not technically in the ‘central markets’ but rather the mall beside the markets in a fixed shop close to the street. Didn’t try the sweet offerings, but honestly didn’t want to destroy the flavours I’d just consumed. Highly recommend trying, and it’s all vegetarian done beautifully and makes you want to convert (or maybe not), but if I was to convert, I’d hang out here to keep to it!
I slipped in here before they were officially open so it was very quiet but the chilled tunes and the friendly service were on point. The small long black I ordered had a nice crema and was delicious. Thanks for the coffee.
Amazing Vegan Food. Just go here. Order everything. Take a salad away too.
Absolutely top notch!
Amazing vegan food and the staff here are always so bubbly and ready to help. (Soy latte always done to perfection, never burnt)
I would sell my soul for a life time supply of the Kale tabbouleh salad
I’m not vegan or vegetarian, but enjoy their vegetarian meals. Great value and their salads are excellent. Very friendly service. Everything I have tried here tastes great and fresh. I often get the takeaway salads. They are so generous with the servings. This is another favourite place of mine closer to my workplace which serves healthy and tasty food and helps my weight loss journey.
Every-time I come here the vegan menu has expanded . The mushroom moussaka actually blew my mind!
The lovely tattooed girl always keeps me updated with the plant based goodies 🍃
Also best coffee in central markets by far
P.s please tell the landlord to invest in better air conditioning
