We think Surees is the Best Thai food , always beautiful never lets you down , we go regularly my favourite is the Whole Baramundi delicious my Husband loves Surees Thai Prawns no matter what you order Always Fabelous food BYO is welcome Always friendly , we go mid week, early time 6.30 ish never kept waiting. So highly recommend Jill
We had excellent takeaway from Suree Thai - the food made it home in good condition. Excellent spring rolls, the curries were all delicious and the noodles hit the spot.
Great water and waiter (king, he was good). The pad Thai was made vegan and it was awesome! The pad Thai chicken was a little dry
It's a Saturday night and we didn't have a booking but we were accommodated with no problem. The restaurant was very busy. We were served quite quickly. We received our wines but our food took way too long to get to us. We waited well over 45 mins for our meals to arrive. I think they forgot to make it. We ordered the whole barramundi and it was sensational. The season vegetables dish was tasty and cooked perfectly. I would definitely be back to try more dishes.
It's our local Thai. Always been good. The curries are fantastic. Massamum and red duck are our favorites. The venue could do with an updated decor and just a general freshening up. But yeah food is most definitely good enough to deal with it.
I love thai food. It's spicy and delicious. And this time I'd like to try a different thai resto than usual and my choice fell on Suree's Thai Kitchen.
We arrived at 6pm, we were the first guest at that time. After browse the menu we choose for the entree:
1. Pandan chicken 7/10
It was good but not the best. I like succulent pandan chicken that marinated perfectly. This pandan chicken taste bit different, there's some herbs missing but dunno what
2. Curry triangle 5/10
It's like samosa..fried pastry dish with savory filling (mince chicken, potato and onion). Average dish. Not my taste.
3. Peppered quail 8/10
Hmm I would like to go back for the quail. Love it. Moist, tender and delish.
4. Beef satay 7/10
Chargrilled beef satay with peanut sauce. The beef was good, tender and smoky. But I don't like the peanut sauce where the peanut was rough chopped. Maybe it would be nice if finely chopped.
5. Moneybag 6/10
Wasn't really good..I like wonton pastry sheet
Main course:
6. Thai fried rice 8/10
I like the fried rice. Very nice. I couldn't stop ate it
7. Roast duck 7/10
It wasn't the best roast duck curry I had. The taste not strong and spicy enough.
8. Chu chi pla 9/10
Fish fillet, bamboo shoots in a spicy red curry. It's hot but delicious..đź‘Ťđź‘Ťđź‘Ťđź‘Ť
9. Tamarind beef 8/10
Stir fry veef with noodle, mushroom, capsicum and eggplant. Nice đź‘Ťđź‘Ť
Overall it was a good dinner. Very nice service. Staff member are polite, friendly and attentive to customer need. I wish most restaurant in adelaide have a courteous staff like this.
One of the better Thai restaurants in Adelaide that's for sure. Nice ambience and spacious fitout. Service is friendly however dishes can take on the longer side to reach Poppies table. One of Poppies favourites is the Chu Chi chicken. Absolutely delicious and quite hot spicy. Love the bamboo shoots. Definitely worth an eat đź‘Ť thumb up. It's getting increasingly difficult to find great Thai like surees these days
Nice place. friendly and welcoming. Came here for drinks mostly :) as we weren't overly hungry. Pretty good  spring rolls. We will be back!
Nice food and spicy . was quite busy and great atmosphere relaxing
went with a few friends to celebrate birthday. it was a considerably busy tuesday night. staffs were friendly and had entrees on the table within 15-20minutes. all the food were delicious and green curry chicken is especially yummy, a good kick of chili.
special dessert of black sticky rice with coconut ice cream is a must have!
Suree's kitchen has delicious, authentic Thai food with a well-sized food and drinks menu. Staff were very friendly and the kitchen was quick with food - great service. Would definitely recommend!
Beautiful big crispy spring rolls, perfectly seasoned Pad Thai and stunning jungle curry (with good kick of chill). Not a huge vegetarian menu and only a few things can be veganised but the flavours were all spot on. Service was friendly, will return and recommend.
Great Thai food on unley road, nice and quiet, clean ambiance. Authentic and delicious Thai food. Only issue would have to be that there can be a bit of a wait for food/service at times.
Best Thai in adelaide hands down.
Great variety, great flavours, nice staff.
Would be great if they were open 7 days ! Get the lamb massiman!
Always a fantastic, traditional, delicious Thai meal. Best Pad Thai in Adelaide! Dining in is quaint and pleasant. Nothing ultra modern, but comfy & relaxed. Their yellow (mild), and the green (hot) curries are delicious. Would highly recommend to anyone after a good Thai feed.
Excellent service and delicious food, best thai I have had in Adelaide!! Highly reccommend tje whole barramundi with the tomato and the duck special, both were amazing dishes and exceeded our expectations.
One of the best Thai restaurants in Adelaide! It doesn't look like much from the outside but the food is amazing and the staff are so friendly.
Good Thai for sure-e. Dinner with friends last night. First time to this Unley Rd establishment. Quite a few people there for a Tuesday night so the signs are good. Decor is typical, nothing special, but the layout of the tables gives you plenty of elbow room. We had the mixed entree to share which was a nice intro. I had the Tamarind Beef which was tasty. Mrs T had the Green Chicken Curry also delicious. But the true highlight was the dessert. Sticky Black Rice with Coconut Icecream. Wow, it was on the specials board but should be a permanent menu item. Warm sticky black rice cooked almost al dente which gave it a great texture. The sweet, creamy coconut ice cream the perfect balance and accompaniment to the rice. Next time Mrs T and I won't be sharing ! We will definitely be back to try more on the menu. Oh, and on a final note the staff were excellent. Attentive without being annoying, friendly, service with a smile.
Delicious yellow chicken curry. Always have the yellow chicken curry. Springrolls also really good as are the duck and lamb curries. We have always had takeaway. A local favourite.
We had the best duck curry bar none that we have ever had. Lovely people and great food well priced. Can't wait to go back
Best. Green. Chicken. Curry. Ever.
Excellent, very nice atmosphere. Suree's Thai Kitchen is an old Adelaide favourite of mine. The food is consistently good and authentic, the service is outstanding and the ambiance is fantastic. One of the best Thai restaurants in the city.
Quite nice. Great ambiance as you step in. Agree with other diners about the fish cakes being a bit dry and tasteless. Other food was OK. Some service was a bit sloppy, Left us looking at the desert menus for way too long, even though it was late and quiet. In the end we decided it was too late and head for home.
REALLY REALLY GOOD! We were just driving past on a Sunday and not much is open on a Sunday. Didn't have a booking but they got us seated right away. I recommended having a booking on a Sunday because by 7 the place was packed. We had the Spicy Tasy Pork and the Roast Duck Currie. Friendly staff and reasonably fast service considering it was so busy. Try it out people we are glad we did and will be back.

Great take-away Thai. After checking out the reviews on Urbanspoon I ordered take-away from Suree's Thai Kitchen. I must say I was very impressed with the service and the quality of the food. Firstly, the waiter taking phone orders was very helpful regarding the ingredients of the meals (as we had someone with an allergy) and he also opened the door for me and ensured I watched my step when I was leaving the restaurant. On top of that, we thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes we ordered and were especially impressed by the fresh seafood used in the dishes. Notably, the lemon-lime prawn dish was delicious. I will certainly return for take-away when I'm next in Adelaide!
Great service, nice meal, but forgettable. Went here with a friend on a Sat night, it's best to book ahead (like I did) as it gets quite busy. I went here after reading the reviews and since I haven't had Thai food in a while, and good Pad Thai I thought I'd give this place a try. The service was great, we were well looked after, the starters were good, we ordered the Toon tong, nice, the spring rolls (my fav, quite large and stuffed with yummy filling, not at all the small spring rolls you get at other places) and satay chicken sticks (not the best, a lot of peanuts but could not taste teh peanuts for the sauce, very bland over all, I didn't enjoy these).
For mains we split a beef veggie dish, a Pad thai and seasonal veggies. The beef was very tasty and cooked well, not too much sauce, and not too much oil, the veggies were delicious, not drowned in sauce or oil, crisp (how I like them, almost alive!), the pad thai was a disappointment, not enough meat, too much noodle (noodles were a bit dry and stuck together), not enough seasoning or flavour. The slice of lemon that came with the pad thai was a sad crusty piece of lemon skin that looked like it fell behind the fridge and someone found it by chance (it was mouldy, dry skin and no actually lemon pylp to speak of!). I asked for a fresh lemon slice to squeeze over the padthai, and was brought a small plate of sliced lemon, which was very nice.
Over all, the place is nice, the service is great, all our questions answered, we were well looked after, the man that served our table was very nice and friendly, however the food was just ok, nothing I would recommend really and not a place I'd go back to anytime soon.
Yummy Thai food. Friendly staff
Abundant flavours and good service. I have never been a great fan of South East Asian cuisine. It is more a preference thing than anything else. The flavours are beautifully balanced and varied, however, it is a very summer humidity type of cuisine and I am not particularly fond of summer or humidity. I usually prefer the more robust flavours of North and East Asian dishes. However, tonight my partner was in the mood for some green curry, and I must say, it has been a while since I have had a nice curry and the green curry is one of my favourites. After looking at a few Thai places on Urbanspoon and what people had to say about them, we settled on Suree's Thai Kitchen in Hyde Park. I was a little nervous as although most of the comments were positive, it seems that a couple of the latest ones showed some flaws. We arrived at the restaurant at 7pm on a Tuesday night. The place was not full but there was a good enough crowd for a mid week dining in Adelaide. The restaurant itself was pleasant enough, no "wow" factor to it, but comfortable enough. I say that, then think to myself that the chairs were not the most comfortable I have ever sat on. However, the waitress took our order and the staff were just how I like them in a restaurant: courteous, with a smile on their face, but not constantly encroaching on the diner's space which is always awkward. I ordered a mixed entree as I wanted to sample a bit of everything, and my partner had the pandan chicken. The pandan chicken was so flavoursome and the flavour had penetrated through the chicken. It was tender and juicy, cooked perfectly. The mixed entree was delightful, although I was overly find of the satay sauce, not a great balance in flavours in that one. We shared the Green Curry Chicken and a Maw Hok Seafood (not 100% on my spelling or pronunciation on that). The flavour of both mains were spot on. Full, deep and rich flavours. The chicken was once again cooked beautifully. However the seafood was a bit on he overcooked side. Seafood should always be just a touch on the underdone side rather than overdone as it can get rubbery quite quickly. However the flavours more than made up for it. The desserts were once again pleasant enough. My partner had the honey and orange banana, and she found it hard to finish. I had the black sticky rice which was nice, but could have done with more coconut sauce, and even to have the custard left off. The servings are small, but the prices are reasonable. We will definitely be back again. An any occasion restaurant. I give the restaurant a 3.5 out of 5.
Yum!. Top notch each and every time! This is my first choice for Thai on Unley Road, great food, reasonably priced, good service. I always leave with a smile!
Best Thai in Adelaide. Great staff. A-ma-zing green curry chicken. Love this joint.
Delicious! Best Thai in Adelaide and friendly staff. Toon tang, pork balls, pad Thai and Larb chicken, all great.
Amazing food!!. This place is awesome! The food was brilliant - especially the Pud Thai and the atmosphere is great. It's a real cute and cosy place, with a wonderful relaxing feel to it. The service is fast and friendly and the prices are extremely reasonable. I really enjoyed eating here and highly recommend it :D
Great variety, good dining. The atmosphere is quite nice, the lighting is dimmed, but not so much that you can't see the food.
The menu is great in terms of variety. There are many items that you probably wouldn't make at home such as yellow chicken. I really liked how they added vegetables into the meal without diminishing the taste.
The beef dishes are great as well.
Must try, tucked away on unley st.
Friday night takeout and I could ask for nothing more. Fast service, generous serves, friendly staff and a really delicious, meltingly tender Penang beef.
Delicious food.. I took my mother and brother for dinner here last night and let me just say, thank goodness we booked, the place was definitely busy! We each picked an entree to share and then chose a main each. The entrees we ordered included - grilled chicken satay, spring rolls and the toon tong, all were delectable. Unfortunately the service was rather slow tonight....it took the staff quite a significant amount of time to clear our plates and bring out our mains. Eventually our mains arrived, Mum ordering the Pad Thai, my Brother the Roast Duck Curry and myself the Prawns with basil - all mains were absolutely delicious. My prawns were perfectly cooked and the vegetables were truly flavoursome. Overall, quite a pleasant experience, service could have been better but the food was amazing.
Seriously good Thai. Amazing flavors, great service. I love this restaurant. Eat in or take away, it's brilliant.
Good but not good all at once.. The food - AWESOME!
The drinks - ridiculously priced.
Buying 2 lemon lime bitters is always going to attract more of a cost than a glass of water, but it was ridiculous the size of the glass that the drink came in. Will avoid purchasing drinks next time and just stick with water. Otherwise the food itself was amazingly simple and really good quality. Very impressed with the duck salad!
I’m running out of nearby fancy restaurants, so I’m now going to the highest-rated restaurants in the next price category down.
PRAWNS WITH BASIL (6/10)
King prawns stir-fried with basil and fresh seasonal vegetables.
The prawns were nice and tender, and didn’t have a “pooey bit”, but all in all, this was another ubiquitous Asian “crispy vegetables with rice” dish. Not the fine fare that Daniel expects. I give them credit for respecting my desire to not be incinerated by chilli.
Suree’s Thai Kitchen has always been a quiet achiever for me. I’ve dined here several times over the years and have always had a fantastic time. Suburban dining at its delicious best!
