I have ordered takeaway from Ragi’s quite a number of times. The food is delicious. Being a South Indian myself, I must say this is by far my favourite Indian restaurant in Adelaide especially at times of most desperate cravings. I even bought her cookbook which has quite a few yummy recipes in it.

Really interesting food. Indian but not as you know it. Great service. Restaurant is upstairs so be aware of this.

I went to Ragi's Spicery with 3 other people last night and we had a delightful meal. The space upstairs is nice - not pretentious or too fancy but just fairly simple and pleasant to be in. There was enough space between tables and nice background music which didn't intrude. We thought the food was excellent and enjoyed every mouthful. I completely disagree with a previous review on that score (and on every other score). We had a delicious mushroom dish which was one of the specials last night, and every other dish was very tasty. The food is different from a lot of other Indian restaurants - not the usual butter chicken, tandoori, beef vindaloo etc. Instead, the food is more original and far more interesting. The service was excellent too - the waiter was very nice and although he was friendly, he did not intrude. We thought the price of the food was extremely reasonable. Overall, a lovely evening. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic and very interesting food. The calamari dish was fantastic with crunchy rice puffs and a carefully crafted blend of spices. Simply delicious.. We all should support such a great venue. We will most definitely be back.
