Quaint cafe in the middle of a housing estate! Lovely staff and small but impressive menu. Their savoury crepes were amazing! Coming back to try their sweet crepes
Best Avocado on toast, by far, cosy and quiet, great for a good meal with friends, amazing service all the time and great for sitting either indoor or outside!!
Had a pleasant experience at Spill the Beans. The coffee was lovely and the smoked salmon bagel I ordered was generous, very tasty and fresh. This cute setting makes for a great suburban breakfast spot and I can see locals flocking here on weekends.
How should I bring my baby in?: There is lots of space inside to park a pram here as well as alfresco dining. Entry is easy via double doors.
The best smashed avo in town, enough said.
Seriously though, Spill the Beans have perfected this. Just look at that huge, creamy dollop of avocado.
However, whilst I love this! Many people I take here get a little frustrated that menu is so bread heavy. It wouldn't hurt if they added a few more salads or perhaps a veggie bowl of some sort.
Spill the Beans is just the best. Great spot for lunch where you can catch some sun on the outside tables, or sit inside and feel grounded by the hard wood floors and smell of coffee. Went for lunch with Dad recently and had the halloumi and salad wrap. DEEEELish. Full of the good stuff. Packed with perfect ratio of veg to well cooked halloumi that had bite and was golden and perfect. Generous with the filling and loved the inclusion of sprouts and avo.
Also been for breakfast lately. The mushroom on toast is an absolute godsend & must try. Love looking at the salads on offer and the routinely changing specials board looks like it has amazing food on offer. Well seasoned food, good consistent coffee, great to see a little place in the 'burbs smashing it.
Lovely location, attentive service. Food and tea ok, nothing too special and nothing too bad.
I liked to sit outside and enjoying my breakfast.
I can be bias when it comes to mushrooms. Any meal containing them will always get my vote, but the Mushroom Toast with artichoke spread, poached eggs and parmesan I had here was particularly special. Not only was it one of the most enjoyable breakfasts I've had in recent times; the serving size was generous to boot. My pal also loved her pancakes, which were beautifully presented.
There are numerous tasty sounding brunch options on offer at Spill the Beans, as well as daily specials that look the goods.
A very cute little place tucked away with seating inside and outside which is great as we took the pup for a drive. Over the last two weeks we have come here a couple times to try a variety of different meals, the service is adequate and nice. Was disappointed on the second visit they were out of pancakes. Only problem with food would be the eggs being a little over cooked otherwise everything was lovely. Would highly recommended the Chicken Burger that was a special when we come as it was delicious! So make sure you check out their regular specials. Give us a follow on instagram @adelaidefoodqueens to see photos and other reviews!
A hard review to write for this cafe. The place get fairly busy during lunch time, parking isn't the best but plenty of spaces around. Furniture and decorations are simple and nice. They have a glass cabinet at the counter with sweets displayed - the tart look amazing but haven't had a chance to try it yet. Make sure you check it out.
Services - staffs are not that friendly to start with. Seems couldn't be bother and impatient when I ask for some recommendation on the menu. Was slightly more polite when serving food and drinks. Services are in good pace despite the busy lunch hour.
Food - menu : burgers, baguettes, wraps, salads and etc. order the chicken and avocado salad with extra haloumi. I love my haloumi so decided to add it in my dish. Size of serving is decent - for salads wise I might think it's a bit expensive but it tastes good. Well balanced flavour - chicken marinated well with big chunks of avocado and lightly toasted macadamia nuts. I actually really enjoy the extra haloumi in there, it might be a bit too blend for me without the haloumi.
Drinks - good coffee roasted with perfect temperature. The aroma of the coffee is moderately strong. Almond milk is also available if you don't prefer normal milk.
Overall, it was a good lunch. Might be better if the staffs are more friendly and attentive. Will still be back to try their sweets and other interesting savouries on the menu.
Quick service, nice decor and something the area needed. Delicious simple food with a reasonable range and option to add things to make it your own. I had the mushroom toast which was a bit pricey but delicious nonetheless. Will be back :)
Although it was $18.90 for the "Mushroom Toast" and the location is quite far from the city centre, I would say the food almost makes up for it. Definitely, based on the food alone, I would review Spill the beans around 4.5. Unfortunately, the staff were extremely rude and disinterested, and left my friend and I feeling quite uncomfortable. However, if you're looking for a delicious breakfast, come here.
Came on a Sunday morning for brunch. I had the big breakfast which was really good. A large serving with chorizo and beans in addition to your standard big breakfast items. Definitely got my money's worth. Coffee was also good. They've got a small decked area outside with covering, which was a nice area to sit. The service was quick and attentive, but a bit cold. Otherwise, another great little suburban brunch cafe.
This is a tough one to review. Tough because on the day a few troubles occurred. The first one was the coffee machine seemed to be requiring some TLC and there were delays on coffees and they had runout of the baked bean mix they serve with some of the breakfast items. But the staff were handling it so well and the place was doing such a bustling business and everything seemed so nice that I don't think I will even let this affect my rating.
The big breakfast was freaking large and they were happy to subtract the bean cost off of the overall price so thumbs up for that. Banana smoothie was bananery, sometimes it taste like cafes have only used that pump bottle stuff. Bacon was a bit dry but the sourdough was thick and delicious, tomatoes were roasted just under but they were covered in some dried hearts which made them more then just a couple of grilled tomatoes. Mushrooms were garlic and big. There was a bit of a delay on the chorizo also but despite all this I would head back any given Sunday. Coffee was close to perfect. I can only really fault the few hiccups that occurred. I think on any other day it might have been a different story.
A really lovely place nestled in the Linden Park area.
I'd never been there before and we tried it on a Sunday morning. Doggy friendly and a nice setting, Spill the Beans was busy and super friendly.
I ordered a banana smoothie and a BLT, which I expected to be small and 'tostie' like. However, look at the picture!! It was a huge and delicious 'burger' like BLT in a brioche bun. Delish!!
There was not much wait on food and we had lovely service making sure everything was okay, however there was a small wait on coffee and chorizo for my partner's big brekky, but this was communicated well and didn't seem like a problem at all :)
Will be back!
After it taking a while to receive service when seated we went to the bar to order, even after a convo with the staff I was still unsure of what was the correct procedure... I started to get worried about this new place but I shouldn't have. Everything was amazing. Service was good, and they accommodated me and my friends after we asked to move outside due to a large number of people at a nearby table made it impossible to hear. My mushroom toast was so amazing I nearly cried when it was over. Lovely atmosphere and tucked away in a nice and quiet spot. Will definitely be returning.
My Favourite Coffee Shop. Great coffee and food, fantastic juice and the best salads all served by friendly staff. My favourite place to catch up with friends.
