Review Sushi Planet Modbury - Adelaide

Nice visual presentation of the food here. The style is Japanese like and this is why we came. We were celebrating a Japanese birthday from a distance. The service is a bit adhoc and not the best mask wearing etiquette by the service staff.

Great food! Fresh!! We especially enjoyed the scallops and sashimi deluxe. Chicken skewers were juicy and yummy. The octopus was alright, not great but not bad. Tataki was scrumptious. Great choice of sake selections. There is even a sparkling sake on the menu. We loved how they presented the sake in a bowl of shaved ice. Overall we enjoyed our dining experience here. We prefer the waiter over the waitress, because she keeps forgetting our orders and didn't bring us the pork belly.

Fantastic customer service, gorgeous restaurant, delicious vegan food! Cocktails are to die for. The apple pie cocktail is just next level. I have been here twice now and been blown away both times!

Beautiful! High end japanese, great interior, very busy, recommend booking a spot. We didn't, but the staff were very accommodating. Some fantastic japanese options, not all sushi. They have a FULL vegan menu! Also a great selection of non alcoholic drinks. Very inclusive. Highly recommend.

Decently priced and a very large menu range to cover almost any desire. A refreshing change of scenery from the typical sushi places in Adelaide. Is generally always busy. Customer service can be hit or miss depending on your time of visit.

This Sushi restaurant is a great addition to the North Eastern Suburbs. As a group of friends, we caught up over lunch and cocktails on a Saturday and really tucked into the menu - a huge selection of offer. Decently priced, friendly service and a cool place to enjoy your meal.

I haven’t been here since 2020, but having been missing it since and currently craving it! My husband and I got the vegetable curry roll and the rainbow veggie roll and holy smokes, I HIGHLY recommend!!! Haven’t found any veggie /vegan options comparable here in the US 😢

Big menu with lots to choose from. The sashimi is outstanding, very fresh and wonderful flavours. The variety of food available is great and each time we've been we have ordered different things. The service is great and the actual restaurant itself has a nice feel to it with the seating and lighting. The strawberry lemonade drinks are also a highlight!

I love Aburi salmon so once I saw that on the menu I was all over it. Dishes here are good quality and there’s an elaborate menu with a variety of choices. I like that they serve the yakitori style skewers just like Japan. Everything here is great but my favourite is the Gyoza and the dipping sauce with it, do not go past it. <br/><br/>The only downfall of Sushi Planet I would say is the service from some of their waiters. They often don’t look happy to be working there, almost as if they hate their job and don’t greet you in a friendly manner. Would love a smile or a typical Japanese “Irasshaimase”.

The food was fresh and the uber eats delivery guy was happy and polite. I'd give these guys the time of day any day, all day, every day, today and the next day, forever and a day.

Food is absolutely delicious! Vibes and decor is warm and nice too ✌. Had issues with my booking though, first I tried booking online for 9 people, called to double check and my booking wasn't there, so I booked over the phone. I went to the restaurant before my booking to check it out and asked if we can be seated in the function area which they said it should be fine. Come the night of my booking we weren't seated in the function area which was disappointing. The service was ok but not very attentive in making sure everyone had drinks, we often had waive a waitress down to get their attention. Despite this the food speaks for itself & I'll definitely be back.

Prices are a little up there, and your dish options can be quite limited if you're trying not to spend too much, but the quality of the dishes does make up for it. You can get a small discount if you order ahead of time on their wesbite and then go pick it up yourself - I'd recommend doing that to save a bit of money.

Surprised to see low rating while everyone else gave a good rate..Cmon Zomato,,have a fix this.<br/>This is a new opening place in modbury, we usualy to go to the city centre. I do like sushi planet, they offer not just sushi but other kind of jap food. We had Crispy Chicken Wing, Chicken Karage, California Roll Sushi and Chicken with spring onion. All came really good..quick and friendly service.

Excellent food. Great decor. Should have a higher rating. Cannot understand how Pepper Leaf and Mandarin Coin get above 2.5. Highly recommend having the beef skewers.

Fantastic customer service, lovely helpful staff willing to accommodate for any dietary requirements and changes to the menu! Decent variety of delicious options with gorgeous presentation. I came in for a late dinner on a Saturday night and paid around $15 for a well-rounded meal. Haven't yet visited the West Terrace restaurant but no doubt it's just as good! Loved it! 💗🙌🍣

After the success of Sushi Plant on West Terrace, Adelaide, another store has opened, this time at the northern suburbs, at Modbury Triangle Shopping Centre, Modbury. With a menu covering sushi, sashimi, soups and rices, noodles and skewers, there’s something to satisfy everyone’s tastebuds.
