There are 2 food courts in Chinatown Central market. The new one and the old one. I definitely prefer the new one, for the food and for the much more comfortable, aesthetic & spacious environment. Kampong Boy has good authentic Malaysian street food. Their chow Kuay Teow is good, so is the laksa and Sar hor fun. Posidon is a very good stall for authentic Chinese Clay pot rice.. And cheap! Just $14.90 for Roast Duck & rice in clay pot. Authentic Hong Kong roast duck. I also highly recommend their Chinese sausage smoked pork rice, Chinese braised pork belly claypot rice, beef egg claypot rice and spicy beef belly claypot rice. The Yum Cha stall is very good too. We often order their har gao and Malai Gou to share around.

Cheap meal but not as tasty as it looks on the display photos in front of their shops. I supposed you get as what you paid. Plenty of good and tasty restaurants here in China Town Adelaide

I eat here regularly and love the atmosphere. Lunched here when the tables were laminated and the chairs squealed 30 years ago, and I continue today. Would like to see more vegetarian offerings and an Indian curry stall like the old times, and some lunch time cask wines at a more manageable price, but nothing will keep me away.
