Service : 11/10 Food: 10/10 Ambience: 10/10 Came in for a breakfast and the folks here were super loving and helpful. Accommodated my dietary requirements and suggested the best dish! Absolutely delicious food and coffee.

Absolutely beautiful staff, they remember your name and always welcome you. The hot chocolate is TO DIE FOR!! My office gets catering from them and the food is always a hit. The top favourites for our office are their chorizo breakfast sandwich and their vegetarian breakfast sandwich.

Nice joint with good food & drinks and friendly service.

Quaint Cafe in a good location of the cbd. Friendly staff and good choice of food options like vegetarian and gluten food.

Wow, what a great place that is sort of tucked out of the way. Coffee is great and I ordered the Corn Fritter Stack was amazing with the chipotle aioli dressing that had a bit of 'bite' to it was great. I topped it off with a couple of poached eggs which were cooked to perfection! Staff were friendly and the place had a cosy feel to it! Well done guys.

Great coffee and friendly table service. Plenty of space and still cost.
Good Food Good Mood
We visited Sazon for breakfast this morning which was doing a roaring trade. I had the smashed avo dish and a chai. The chai itself was clearly powdered and overly sweet. The ratio of avocado to bread was disproportionate and the bread was housemade with a texture akin to an English muffin. I found it quite heavy and wasn’t the hugest fan

Good coffee with very friendly staff. They are quick with the takeaways so you never have to wait long. Their lemon and polenta cakes are excellent.

It’s true what they say, the coffee’s good here. Great ambience and feel in this place. Service was friendly and prompt. Will have to come back and try the menu.

Came to Sazon for lunch with a friend. She ordered two of the vegetarian tacos while I had the chicken squares. Both dishes were really filling that neither of us could finish the dishes. Their breads I had for my toasted sandwich are homemade which made me wanted to try them, but I have to say combined with the chicken, it was too oily for me. The dish also comes with sweet potato crisps and some salad. I’m afraid to say I probably won’t be returning for lunch again, but I might come back to try their breakfast menu! On the plus side, their coffee is great and staff were really friendly!

Little did I know this little Mexican hot spot was located right in the city centre, but glad I found it sooner rather than later. Overall, nice menu and flavours.

Trendy lil Mexican cafe in the heart of the city. Came here for a quick work lunch and enjoyed everything about this place. Funky vibe, fabulous staff and most importantly delicious food!

worlds best hot chocolate hands down!! regular visitor for the hot choc. i've only tried the food on a few occasions as most items have corn in it and I don't like corn. what I have eaten was fresh and tasted great. service is very good.

Been here for breakfast but decided to come in for a lunch. Had the pulled pork quesadillas. It was delicious but I think I'm over pulled pork. There need some kind of differentiation. Other than that this was a decent meal. Washed down with a cafe latte which was superb.

I lived in Mount Barker for a while and the best thing about it was Sazon.

I work in the city and live in Hawthorn now so I was delighted when the boys from Barker opened in town.

Have had lunch a couple of times and it was good. Quick service which is what you want at lunch time right?

Delicious food and full tums. Yum

Well, sad day in the office to bid farewell to a fine lady who is heading off to retirement! To Sazon she bidded so 15 of us duly obeyed. Dined at the long table where we had a merry time. Loved ability to individually order and pay - made it easy. Nice water accompaniment. My lunch was the roasted pumpkin, capsicum and fetta round, and it was yummo. Surprisingly filling too ... got me through the council meeting in the arvo .... Work buddies rave about the coffee but am yet to try myself!

The perfect place to stop and admire everything that is brilliant about food - love love love! Their other cafe in the hills offers a life changing hot chocolate chai and one of the best breakfasts the state has to offer. Will always return and stay loyal to brilliant staff at Sazons!

Had the chicken salad and asked for dressing on the side. The chicken was beautifully flavoured, but the salad leaves were transparent they were so greasy with dressing, although to be fair there was more dressing on the side too. Staff refused to change the salad for one without dressing, as the (dripping) lettuce was "not dressed" it was "just the chicken on top". They did bring some lemon which helped cut through the grease a bit.

Had a late lunch at Sazon city centre with a friend. The cafe was almost empty but somehow didn't feel creeped out by that like I usually do. Staff were friendly, attentive and the food cake quickly. I had delicious salad which was fresh and tasty but probably overpriced at $17 ish. Great iced coffee that was almost like a coffee milkshake. Will return if I am in the area, the taco menu looked great and I am always on the hunt for great authentic Mexican food

I met a friend there for a quick lunch mid week and it was great. We did not have a booking (and the place was packed) but they found us a seat without any drama. I ordered a pomegranate and haloumi salad which was just amazing (how can a salad taste soo good??!). My friend loved her meal too. And all finished off with an excellent coffee (that had a picture of a swan in it!). Super fast and friendly service and nice atmosphere. I will definitely be back ..and often.

Sazon first opened in Mt Barker over 6 years ago, and during that time, they’ve developed a reputation for great coffee and authentic Mexican street food. As part of their expansion, they’ve now opened a city store which is currently open during the week for breakfast and lunch. There are 8 options on their breakfast menu which is available until 11:30am, and include traditional dishes such as Huevos Rancheros, Mexican Pot and the Corn Fritter Stack. Come lunchtime, there is even more variety with a selection of Rounds, Squares, Quesadillas, Tacos and Salads to choose from.
