Pop in here regularly, the place is clean, service is always good & friendly, family run joint, food is nice. They use good quality meat products not all fat & gristle like you get elsewhere. Much better than its neighbor north adelaide burger bar!
Not being from Adelaide meant I had no idea what the AB was, until I asked. It's pretty much a meal to suit one of those evenings where you just feel like a dirty pizza or burger. For $15, these are solid portions that made me sit in the couch for an hour contemplating life. Friendly staff that were happy to have a good chat is always a bonus!
Easily a 5 star meal. So cheap and honestly the best yiros and AB I have ever had. Hands down. So much flavour, especially in the yiros. Parks easily accessible out the front and a prime location on O'Connell street. If you're looking for a cheap and delicious cheat meal, I 100% recommend Blue & White.
Really friendly and great service, Fast service as well.... Chips tasted amazing. They seem to know nearly everyone who walked into the shop which makes it a very nice place to get food
For years I had always been going to the North Adelaide Burger Bar a few shops up from the Blue and White as that was where I had my very first Yiros/Kebab.
The other day my friend insisted we go to the Blue & White as she felt the food was a little better there.
Well, it was. I don't usually go out of my way to write a review unless the establishment is truly deserving and the Blue & White is just that.
The Yiros was fantastic! Beautifully flavored Lamb & Chicken with fresh salad in the right proportions and adequately priced too. The chips were cooked to perfection and you could tell the oil is changed regularly.
I found the place to be clean, tidy and the staff were friendly.
This is now my new late night Yiros spot!!
Another great AB place in Adelaide! and it's located right next to my favourite one (North Adelaide Burger Bar). Sometimes I scratch my head deciding which one I want to go to this time. Don't know why but these AB places have the friendliest staffs. They always makes you feel comfortable when you order and wait for your food. The AB though, sometimes its really good, sometimes not so great. Some days, the chips are either too soft and mushy or just flat out burnt. Luckily majority of times I've been there, its been perfect. If they could be more consistent, Blue & White Café would be neck and neck with North Adelaide Burger Bar for the best AB in Adelaide!

Best fish and chips in all Adelaide. Fresh clean food.
Doing it right. There are times when only fish and chips will do and when that happens then the Blue and White is the place to go.
Clean as a whistle (something that can't really be said of the Red and White down the road) and with tables for sitting inside and out on the footpath, the guys behind the counter are friendly, the Fanta is cold in the fridge, and the fish and chips are hot. The batter on the fish and the potato fritters shatters like glass it's so crisp and their AB (yiros meat on chips with sauces) is legendary.
Takes me back to my days as a kid in Goodwood when Mrs Colombakis used to give us extra chips for being good boys.
Best dim sims ever. Yummy AB. Always feel welcomed.
There are many contenders for the best AB, but this is still the one to beat. Once a year I go back to Adelaide, and once a year I get an AB from here without fail.

An unbiased appraisal. There is a fierce rivalry between the two cafes, Blue & White and Red & White as to who makes a better AB - a dish that depending on who you ask, could stand for either Absolutely Beautiful or ABortion. Consisting of yiros meat on a bed of hot chips and then smothered with various sauces, this is the perfect incarnation of every late night food craving. As someone that didn't go to whatever school which is supposed to have whatever allegiance to whichever, I find objectively that the Blue & White makes a much better AB. I've tried Red & White's and found the foundation of their AB - the chips - stodgy and unable to cope with the resulting meat and sauces piled on top. Blue & White on the other hand, has chips which are good in their own right; light, fluffy and crispy. Amazingly, they manage to stay that way even with all the toppings. So, can't say much for the price as I haven't been to Red & White after the two times I tried it there (awful), but if you want a GOOD AB, go to Blue & White.
Best AB's. Best place to get an AB. amazing and addictive and if you become a local the guys tend to chuck in extra for you.
What can I say? This place does great yiros.
AB's and fried Mars bars - can't get any better than that.
