Tried their foods during my stay in Adelaide. The taste & serving portion was generous. I tried Nasi lemak with beef, Pad se ew / flat rice noodles, satay Chicken & roti telur on different time of day. Tried the dining & uber eats. On Both occasions had wonderful food experience. Foods were fresh & delicious.
Though the Satay Chicken dish was different than my expectation, it was like curried with some veggies .
Overall was great foods
Great for a quick, cheap eat. The roti canai is a staple that I order every time - flaky bread and rich curries. The char kwey teow is also another favourite. Generous serves. Good value. Always popular.

My new go to for a quick bite between trains it is opposite the train station so it means I can pop in get a meal in 5mins eat and be on my way food is tasty fresh and I plan to work my way through every delicious item on the menu
Overall impression: A nice casual dining experience that felt very homely. Perfect for a quick Malaysian comfort food fix, and will be back if we're in town and feeling a bit peckish.
We ordered the Curry Beef, Ayam Goreng (Malaysian fried chicken), Roti Telur Bawang (Spanish onion and egg roti) as well as an iced Teh Tarik and Cham for drinks.
The fried chicken was the standout dish - it was piping hot and succulent. The beef was a little tough, but the curry was flavourful and generally the meal was quite filling.
Ordered curry chicken with rice, nasi lemak with ayam goreng and roti telur, everything is purrrrrfect! Is a small restaurant, environment is good, not sure why people comment this place is unhygiene, if this place is dirty, how about the true mamak corner in malaysia/singapore? 🤔
I ordered the roti with egg and red onion. It was really tasty and the service was friendly. The roti is made to order so you need to wait at least 6 minutes before you will receive your order.
Really delicious and ridiculously cheap food. The roti is the standout. The banana roti has a perfect sweet and savoury balance. If you love peanut butter, you have to try the peanut butter roti, it is scrumptious. Super quick service, the roti is cooked to order. The chicken rice and roti both travel well if you're wanting to order in.
Tried this place with a few Malaysian friends.
Food: Between us we tried the Nasi Lemak with fried chicken and Nasi Goreng with chicken. The fried chicken was unfortunately not crispy and the sambal not spicy the way that it should be. The Nasi Goreng was satisfactory.
Ambience: Cafe styleÂ
Service: Efficient, the food arrived within 10 minutes
Tips: Not the best but not the worst if you are craving Malaysian. Avoid the add ons, its $1.50 for extra sambal, which in my opinion is far too expensive.
Just loved the roti canai and the chicken curry .
The roti canai was well.cooked and I have no words for the chicken curry . One of the best I've ever had . Well cooked and seasoned.
We headed here recently for a quick feed pre footy. It was absolutely jam packed and staff were doing their very best to keep up with the orders coming in. We managed to get a table and ordered a roti canai to share and a serve of kwey teow. The food was very tasty and very reasonably priced. The staff were attentive and clearing tables as best as they could given how busy it was. Take away seemed a popular option. It did take a while for the food to come out but I forgive this because it was so busy. I'd like to go back for a curry when it's a little less busy.
Funny little place that you will be glad you found.
Not fancy - don't take your date there to impress them.
You queue to order and the food gets delivered. And it is superb.
I have the beef nasi lemak every time. But the roti looks lovely too.
Also cheap as!
Another great place for Indonesian/Malaysian food! Located on Bank Street, it's a little shop serving really nice Malaysian drinks (tea and coffee) and not to forget, the most delicous curries and fried noodles!
For me, Mamak Corner is all about the Roti. I guess there are not many places in Adelaide that make them, and here they are made in full view, and served hot, fresh and light. There are various options from the classic Roti Canai to sweet versions like banana. I recommend the Nasi Lemak or Chicken Curry to go with your Roti, and a lemon juice.
This is a simple setup, order at the counter, and sit inside or on the public seating in Bank St.
Very casual atmosphere. Friendly service. I had the Nasi Lemak and Roti Canai. The Nasi Lemak tasted exactly as I remember having it when I was in Kuala Lumpur. It was very cheap, affordable and tasty.

Tasty authentic Malaysian Mamak food. The roti canai and chicken curry is as good as I've had in Kuala Lumpur and the Char Kwey Teo is good and generously sized.
Good Roti. Being Malaysian, I can say the Rotis are pretty good.
Best Malaysian in adelaide. This place actually reminds me of KL food - it's as close as you will get. So if we are not in KL having a curry this is the closest to getting our fix we can
Love their curry chicken and roti canai with a nice cooling lime drink. Good price too YUM
Maggi Goreng dengan Ayam. Sungguh enak!
Allways love the chicken curry and roti
GO THE ROTI BOM. It's some godsend mix of crepe, pancake, naan and maple syrup.
Yum, sooo good. Some of the best Malay food outside Penanag.
Cheap meals in a little cafe style. I had lamb curry with steamed rice and a roti canai for $20 and it was very good...very Malaysian
Love the roti. The roti here is just like KL and so I was very pleased.
The beef curry was excellent with a very rich flavour, but guess will try the fish curry next times given previous reviews.
The lemon drink with ice was most welcome
would certainly return
I love the curries in here. I've been here more than 5 times already and my fav is the fish curry. The teh tarik is little bit lite and i prefer sweeter. Overall, still my fav mamak food
Yum Yum. I visited this place 4-5 times and every time I am there, I am filled with joy.
The Curry-Fish is rice/roti is the BEST!
The dessert roti ( the one with custard) is the BEST!!
Service is okay as it is not really a fancy restaurant
but the foods are GREAT!
I'm not Malaysian.... ...but I think the food here is pretty good. Don't know if it's authentic or not, but the roti was yummy (egg & onion) and the chicken curry I had was very tasty and rich.
I've eaten at the Mamak in Sydney and I didn't think it was any better than this. Both were pretty good.
Awesome!. I often get cravings for Mamak Corner! Taste is fantastic, service is polite, helpful and efficient and the food is well priced. So glad this place exists in Adelaide. I get beef curry, Nasi lemak, roti with two accompanying sauces, and a beautiful drink to wash it all down. All for $15.50! I am always greeted by the friendly staff and walking out with my food within 5 minutes. Very impressive.
Having come from Malaysia, I've tried many Malaysian eateries in Adelaide. If you're after good hawker-styled cuisine, Mamak Corner is difficult to not like. I've been waiting 11 years for a place like this.
Tasty little surprise. This place brought back food memories of a childhood in Singapore. I had the air bandung and nasi lemak, which were favourites growing up and I loved both at mamak corner. There arent many places in Adelaide serving nasi lemak, so it was a happy find. My friend had the chicken curry and the air limau and enjoyed both. We also shared the flavoured shaved ice dessert and felt like little kids exploring the syrupy flavours and textures of the jellies and red beans in amongst the ice. The food here is so moorish....it keeps me coming back for more.
Average malaysian food. Good for a snack, we like to come here to have their roti and teh tarik. The chicken curry is also nice with generous portions. Nasi lemak could be better and they barely give you any sambal. They charged an extra dollar for a small extra amount of sambal.
Deeliciously Yummy. We went to Mamak Corner for Mother's Day Sunday lunch recently, we all enjoyed the food. The kids had Roti Canai and Roti Telur, while the adults had Nasi Lemak (beef , chicken). The roti was fresh and fluffy and with each mouthful my little daughter declared it "Mmmm, it's so delicious...sigh" (by the way, the kids tore into the roti with all their fingers when cool enough, forget about the fork and spoons!). The Air Limau (lime juice) was very fresh and refreshing - the kids loved it. The Air Mawah has those basil seeds in it and we adults loved it but the kids were not familiar with the "tadpoles" and gave it a wide berth, LOL. The Nasi Lemak was beautiful, rice was fragrant, curry was yummy. Chilli was a tad too CHILLI for us, but otherwise it was excellent. My husband was relieved there is finally some decent Malaysia style food here in Adelaide ... it means we don't have to drive 10hrs to Melbourne each time we get a craving for Roti and Nasi Lemak! :-D
Will definitely return again, if only to see my kids enjoying their roti :-)
Tasty. Every time I visit my parents in Adelaide I love to come here, the teh tarik is excellent and the lamb curry is spot on if just a tad spicy. Always look forward to coming here.
Authentic, tasty Malaysian hawker food. Roti is sensational and great value meal deals make this a great pit stop if you're in the city.
Great beef curry, good rice, great roti.
Dropped by here during a short visit to Adelaide and heard about this place. Wasn't expecting anything much because I assumed ethnic food wouldn't be too good in Adelaide. Was pleasantly surprised. Ordered a Roi Bawang ($5.50), a Nasi Lemak with chicken curry ($9.80) and an Ice Teh Tarik. Roti was amazing, sweet onions on crispy flat bread - savoury! Nasi Lemak portion was a fairly small but tasted very good. Iced Teh Tarik was not too thick, not too watery and perfect sweetness. Better and more authentic than most of the Melbourne Malaysian/Singaporean eateries!
Sweet Spot. Small, tidy and fast service spot. price, personally i think is a bit cheap comparing to the propotions of the food portions and quality. but again, if that is the market they are going in, is a great package.
great flavour, would be good if they can stay open till real late night, to about 1am or so. but they will need lots of support from customers for them to be able to do that.
curry chicken is great!
The belly rules the mind!!!. Service: Great! Great explanation about the food on the menu. Service is faster than 'diner dash'.
Food: The 'Roti Planta' and 'Roti Sweetheart' is great. The texture is almost there but acceptable. The taste is authentic and remarkable. However, it is a bit oily ,but all nice food are sinful. Moreover, if it is too healthy, it will be similar to a bagel, which is a doughnut with the sin removed, YUCKS. Overall, I will give a 8.5/10.
Drinks: The ice coffee is unique. The flavour of the coffee is unique and flavourful. The flavour of the coffee is very different from the coffee from the west. The combination of milk, coffee and sugar is well-balanced. The texture is smooth and it is not too sweet. The consistency of the quality and taste of the ice coffee is superb. It is always spot on. The ice coffee deserve a high mark of 9/10.
Overall, it is a good place to have a quick but great meal.
Cendol is awesome, ignore previous user review. Am Malaysian and I always make a point to eat the cendol whenever I cruise over here. Food tick, service tick. Has real Malaysian mamak store authenticness. Can't expect to have imported msian stuff at msian prices in Australia! ;)
Great food, service and price. Welcome Mamak Corner to Adelaide's food scene !
I have moved to Adelaide from Sydney and the food here is as delicious and has the same flavour as the very popular "Mamak" in Sydney. The price for Nasi Lemak is excellent at only $9.80. The serving of chicken pieces is only three small pieces, however for an extra $4 you can order an additional bowl of chicken pieces. Now the meal is good value considering the same meal in Sydney costs $16.50.
The best thing is the freshly made Roti Bawang.
This restaurant is always crowded so be prepared to wait . . . but well worth it!
Ok for a quick meal. Rotis seemed quite authentic being served on metal platter and being stretched in full view of the window which was also nice to see. Not many places in Adelaide do this
Ok curries and nasi lemak, reasonably priced but nothing to write home about
The food arrived promptly and, in the main, was delicious. Nasi Lemak was served on a ceramic plate patterned like a banana leaf and had rice, chicken curry ( chicken cooked on the bone with skin on), hard boiled egg, chilli sambal, peanut and Ikan bilis, ( tiny dried salty whole fish ) My wife hoed into it, ignoring the way the tiny dried salty whole fish were looking at her reproachfully, a
Mamak’s version of meegoreng is fancier than the instant noodle kind (the staple to a uni students diet). It wasn’t only just served with a giant mound of noodles but had a sunny side egg, juicy chicken pieces, crunchy deep fried onion and chilli sauce splashed on the side. Made me feel posh with this fancy meegoreng – a decent feed but on a slight low note I wasn’t a fan of the chilli sauce.
This was very good. It came out within 3-5 minutes after I sat down. The opening special set me back 12 bucks but for me it was well spent. Curry tasted as it should....
Overall it was a good experience. I've had some comments that they're not quite authentic but that really depends on individual experiences and taste. There's also a lot of bad Mamak stalls in Malaysia. Personally I enjoyed my meals and it reminded me of home. Can't wait to have Cendol and Maggie Goreng!
This little joint is fast becoming one of my favourite eateries. It’s open late, it’s cheap and the food is so delicious! That Friday night (Barrio), whilst the trio of us were on our way to belt out some tunes in a private karaoke room on Hindley Street, we made a sudden pit stop at Mamak Corner cause it’s bright lights were still open and we were a little more than peckish by that stage. No complaints to a late night feed before exhausting a lung singing to Taylot Swift’s ‘You Belong To Me’. Psst! Check out their menu!! No more ‘coming soon’ stickers, the menu is complete!
There’s roti-tossing in the window, a small selection of curries, rice and noodles but my body craved something sweet and cold so cendol and roti tisu it was.
Very authentic Malaysian cuisine. Our meals were Satay Mei Goering noodles (chicken), Nasi Lemak chicken curry, spring rolls. Excellent meal
I can not rave enough about how fantastic the food was. I do not normally eat Malaysian cuisine but tried Mamak Corner after being recommended by a friend who revealed to me that the chicken is halal. Plus, I wanted to try something different and I am so glad that I did. Loved the prawns as well. Definitely will be back for more!
Mama never disappoints! I had the Hainan chicken, which is probably not the best I've had but pretty good. I also ordered the fish curry which was fabulous.
Ambience is ordinary but the food outdoes that. Love Mamak.
Always delicious. Cheap and cheerful. Roti with sauces for a great tasty snack. Also do a good laksa.
Had lunch and dinner here while on work trip. Great little eatery that's nice and clean. Food comes out quick, tastes great and is very reasonably priced given the location. Servings are nice and big. Staff are also very friendly and polite
Amazing place to have a tasty Malaysian food at the cheapest and yummiest rate. The food quantity is aligned according to the price they charge you. So, I personally feel worth it.
