Review Coconut Estate Eatery - Adelaide

Alessio Benedetti
The place is nice, even if the instagram profile seems much more rich in decorations. The food is interesting in pairings, and prices are affordable. This is not my favorite type of cuisine, but I’ve appreciated the cook’s creativity. Anyway, I have to make a note because I happened to take terribly spicy dishes without any description on the menu, and this is annoying!

So i now have a new fav in adelaide :) To be clear, i generally don't eat or like breakfasts / "brunch", however, when the menu is as diverse and entertaining as this place i nay reconsider. Seafood options were great as were the burgers. See pic of " glam" coffee option and smoke filed covers for one of the dishes was fun and well done by the very friendly staff. Also loved the open kitchen - maybe just me, however seeing a clean environment is preferable. Overall, staff working in harmony to produce a diming experience. Def going again when in town and highly recomend for an alternative enjoyable dining option.

I would give the food five stars, it is amazingly presented and tasted as good as it looked. The only reason I gave 4 stars was because of two errors which resulted in us waiting a long time for food, then being late for our next appointments. Apparently our ticket got momentarily lost in the kitchen, so we ended up waiting a long time for our food. They apologised however, and gave us free drinks. Then when our meal came out, we ordered dessert immediately because we were short on time. They then bought out two desserts the same, not the two different ones we ordered. The waiter seemed determined for us to keep the wrong order, but I insisted that they bring out the right one, because that's what I ordered. So the service here was disappointing, but the food was the saving grace. I would probably

Very lively environment.. healthy food options with unique and colourful serving style. Overall very healthy, colourful and bright vibe with leafy and flowery ambience and leaves and petals in all the dishes. Go for it if you want to experience something different.

Excellent service. Friendly, welcoming, polite and prompt. Great menu. Food and drinks are delicious but the way they are presented is the standout feature. Beautiful presentation! Highly recommend. Street parking was available nearby at no cost.

Wonderful and theatrical food for brunch. Very Instagramable food haha Make sure you reserve a table or expect a wait, it’s popular for a reason

Such a fun place. Great decor and attentive staff. Menu is a play on smoothie bowls, brunch favourites and some Sri Lankan fusion dishes. Lots of vegetarian choices and very generous portions. Great place for families, bridal showers and just coffee. I can't wait to go back and try more of the dishes!

We were four people and we really enjoyed the friendly environment in there. We ordered Pina Colada and Espresso Martini for the cocktail. They served our food exactly when we finished our cocktails. I can't remember the name of the dishes, but one of them was seafood platter and another one was a massive bbq platter. They were too much for four people and we were not expecting this portion of food. Also, the food was well presented and very tasty. I can say that it is Aussie food but with a different look and taste and a little bit spicy. It is completely obvious that they spend time on the presentation of their food. So, I recommend you order your food as early as you can if you are hungry.

They got my order wrong however they let me keep the fish for free then got my original order. Perfect customer service, very happy and my friends really enjoy this place.

Café is super busy - definitely a good idea to book a table for a bigger group.
Food can take a bit to come out although it is worth the wait, although you will need patience on a busy day.
Food always looks 11/10 & tastes fantastic. Good quality produce used & a bit of flair is added to each plate.
My second visit was an extremely busy day & I did have some issues with my order although the manager was kind & tried her best to fix any issues which I really appreciated.
Definitely an Adelaide spot to add to the Adelaide breakfast bucket list

Seriously, you’d think the theatre we got you’d pay twice as much for at dinner! We first came in to an empty cafe and was wondering whether a poor choice had been made. However, soon it filled up, including a fair few people who were Sri Lankan. Always a good sign!

The dishes didn’t quite come at the same time, but it looked like the rest of the customers did get theirs at the same time. All is forgiven we the smoked filled closh came with the Salmon Benedict. The dishes were around the $15-20 range (so very well priced!) and were very tasty and the presentation made me sad I had to destroy them to eat it! We had few different things, they were all very healthy with extremely generous portion sizes. The hoppers are a definite go to dish and two per serve is very generous and filling.

A must try!

Friendly staff and great food. We enjoyed great Srilankan traditional food with a little Australian twist. So proud of them as a Srilankan! Keep up the great work guys!

A mate of mine has been suggesting we try this place for brunch for aggggges, so after the gym this morning we made the trek north of the city and tucked into a couple of amazing dishes! The vegan matcha pancakes had a light cakey texture, and the flavour was not too overpowering. The caramel sauce + fresh fruit that were served with it were the perfect complement, so this dish was a winner. Now, the jackfruit burger. This was tasty enough, with a bangin’ sauce and generous serving of avocado, but the burger bun itself needed a bit more of a ‘crunch’. I must say though, the sweet potato fries were finger licking good, so we didn’t struggle with this dish much either! All in all, a great brunch option in Adelaide. I’m coming back to try the salmon bene as it looked amazing. Cheers guys!

This is the to-go-to place for Instagram-worthy dishes. For serious foodies though, sadly this cafe provides style over substance. Both dishes we ordered were dry and bland. Customer service is also a bit lacking: the waiter walked away TWICE to serve other customers in middle of taking our order. It wouldn’t have taken more than a minute to write down our orders.

Food presentation: 4/5
Flavour: 1/5
Service: 1/5
Decor: 2/5

Absolutely the healthiest in all SA. The foods are looking so fancy and they taste as they look. I am definitely coming back again. I liked the fresh juice and coffee.
Big portions and reasonable prices

This place is the absolute bomb! Not only is the food instagram-worthy, but they're also pretty damn good too! 😍 Hard to find a place these days where not only the food looks good, if not amazing, but also tastes good too. The mushroom trio on sourdough bread is hands-down one of the best mushroom dishes I've had, and if you've got a sweet tooth - no problemo because Coconut Estate Eatery have got you covered 👌

Great coffees and very friendly service in a relaxed environment made this a new spot to try.
The food sound delicious and semi traditional.

I found this place and I just loved it !!
Service is fast and really friendly. My first time in Adelaide and I think I made a right decision choosing The Coconut Estate eatery.
I had the mushroom trio and I was blown away with the tastiness of the mushrooms. Eggs adding the protein I needed and the portion is adequate.
I went from healthy to indulgent with the “Nutella lovers”:
What a heavenly creation ! It has all the sweetness you want in a dessert , balanced with some sour fruits (kiwi and strawberry). The bread is perfect for this dish , has ice cream and also a cake pop covered in fun colours (chocolate). It’s visually vibrant and fun !
I had a beetroot latte too , recommendation of the place and I liked it a lot !
Couldn’t recommend enough , I loved the vibe, the food and the flower wall.
A brunch done right !
