The Victoria Hotel is a family friendly place - the kids loved the mini indoor playground and they have a good kids menu. The big kids get looked after too with a menu that has a range of options. My steak was cooked as requested and was tender. The included Caesar salad was a nice change from your usual side salad.
First time visiting catching up with long term friends and I couldn’t fault this establishment from the moment we arrived the service by the staff were amazing. The venue was absolutely full and great relaxing atmosphere we all ordered streaks fillet and rib eye 500g and they were cooked to perfection I would say gives some of the high end streak places a run for their money. I highly recommend this place for any size group you won’t be disappointed
Hadn't been to this Hotel for over 20 years. We picked footy Grand Final night to test it out and it was extremely quiet. Only 5 other tables there. Was greeted at the door on arrival and told that we could choose any table we wanted. However, she didn't give us any menu's so had to retrieve them ourselves. We chose the beef schnitzel and the salt and pepper squid. Both were very tasty, however the chips weren't very hot and looked like they had been refried a couple of times. Ordered the brownie dessert and it came in a large plastic parfait glass, mulched up and mixed with ice cream and chocolate topping. Would have been much better served whole on a plate, with the ice cream on the side. Didn't taste very nice at all and we both only ate about a 1/3 of it. It's a nicely set out hotel and we really liked the decor. Plenty of car parking space and a covered area outside. Would probably come back - just wouldn't order the brownie desert, lol.
Had dinner for the first time. The steaks were cooked to perfection. Chips lovely. Salad was lovely. Service very good. Will be back
Went for a casual Sunday lunch. The patronage was low, so service was good.
The food arrived in a timley manor, the serving size was good (if your a all you can eat type of person then don't bother!) and best of all the food was well cooked and very flavoursome. I had the chilli prawns, and my fiance the 'Ocean catch'. Needless to say we left very satisfied with the fair offered.
Here today was an establisment making in roads into breaking away from the 'standard pub meal' and reaching into the realm of fine dinning. Yes we'd go back again.
Well done guys!
Went for lunch, staff were great and very attentive (although it wasn't busy). Ordered a schnitzel and didn't wait long. Nice tasting and good serving size. I would return :)
OK pub food. Been here a few times. Saturday nights are hectic and service standards dip away. One time ordered a sauce on our steak and it came to us without any. Tried to hail down wait staff to assist - but couldn't get any attention. The food is always good, not great. We keep meaning to try their pizzas, but haven't managed to yet. If you are after an honest pub meal, that is what you will get here. Venue is lovely and spacious.
Ordered the char grilled skippy, 1st time in ages I've had roo & it was bloody tasty. My fiancé ordered a garlic prawn topped chicken schnitzel & said it was nothing special - 2 oily
... the menu is standard pub fare, at standard pub prices. As with so many pubs, you do need to have the right attitude as you walk in the door. We visited on a Sunday evening, small child in tow. The Vic sits on Main South Road almost directly atop O'Halloran Hill. The dining room makes the most of this, its huge windows looking out across Sturt Gorge towards the foothills. The dining area is also massive: it's divided into two sections
