Iâve only had a lemon blueberry cheesecake here - it was nice but I wasnât a fan of the soy cream cheese that they used, the flavour was a little overpowering. I think using another alternative cream cheese would have tasted better, but thatâs just my preference/opinion. The blueberry and lemon topping was delicious though and went perfectly with the cheesecake. I rate it 4/5 for the cheesecake, but gave it 5/5 stars here because I believe their pies and cupcakes might be better and I donât wanna pull down their overall Zomato rating!!
Bought these two for myself and my mum. One is PB cheese cake, the other is cookies and cream cheesecake. They both taste really gooooood!!!!! The size is huge! We love it!!!! đ

Last stop before we head back to Melbourne and this was another one recommended. Initially we wanted something light but when we saw BBQ ribs pie and carbonara pie, we just couldnât say no. Good thing we got a pie each, otherwise there was no way I was sharing one. One of the best crust ever! It was thick enough to sustain the generous filling inside, yet when you cut or bite into it, it breaks into tender and flaky layers. It was buttery, and a neutral balance of sweet and salty. The fillings inside were succulent and well-seasoned, with the distinctive BBQ sauce and creamy carbonara flavours shining through.
An assortment of cheesecakes, slices, brownies, blondies, pastries, doughnuts and cookies round up the treats on offer here. Everything looked so yum but I settled on a red velvet cookie to munch in the car. Another textbook texture. Thick, soft and chewy. The only thing that bothered me was the white chunks which I assumed was cream cheese but did not taste like cream cheese, nor was it sweet enough to be white chocolate. Still not very sure what it was though.
Service was impeccable and the coffee was quite a delight. I was worried that it will not be strong enough, but it exceeded my expectations and was in fact quite pleasant.
I discovered Cherry Darlings from my vegan fiancé, I myself am not a vegan but I must admit the food in here is to die for! All of the pies are REALLY good! My favourite is the pizza pie. The cakes and donuts are also magnificent, worth a trip even if your not a vegan!
Today's lunch was at Cherry's. I ordered the lentil hot pot pie which was the most amazing lentil morsel to cross my vegan lips since becoming a vegan 3 days ago. Without a word of a lie this was the best pie I have ever eaten. The pastry was delightfully flakey i had little flakes of pastry stuck to my lips after each bite just like all good pastry should. The filling was rich and hearty with veggies and I added a splash of good ol' tomato sauce. My lunch pudding was a peanut butter blondie and she was as soft as velvet and had a slight crumble that makes one go weak at the knees. All in all a fab place which I have already recommended to my Adelaide family.
I'm in love with Cherry Darlings!! Easy to find, off street parking, indoor and outdoor seating and the best pies I've ever had in my life!! Including when I used to eat meat. Honestly the lentil hot pot pie is life changing! Plus there was a broken one which was offered to us (and we accepted) for free as it would have been thrown away otherwise. Also the selection of traditional bakery treats as well as new and innovative cakes/slices/donuts etc were all amazing!! It's a cute, basic set up but the friendly service and quality of the food far surpasses any run of the mill bakery. The fact that it's vegan is a huge bonus. LOVE!
My favourite bakery in Adelaide! Their donuts and slices are to die for and they have a great selection of pies all at an affordable price. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and I just absolutely adore this place.
The pies were delicious! Need to label the desserts though as I purchased a donut with a peanut topping without knowing and have a slight allergy to peanuts but other than that the food is amazing.
My family ordered the most delicious birthday cake for me a few years ago from Cherry Darlings, so I've been meaning to check them out for a while now.
I'd highly recommend the Lentil Pot Pie if you are a bit fussy with mock meats and don't want to risk it. So delicious and all pies are large! They have a large selection of desserts, too. I spotted some iced and also some cinnamon donuts but sadly had to resist this time!
Possibly the friendliest staff in Adelaide, too. Finding a park was a bit hard, but I just parked down a side street and walked. Worth it! Will definitely be back.

So the staff are of course lovely, but in the case of Cherry Darlings, that's kind of beside the point - if I had to wade through ten angry managers and an incompetent trainee and I got one of their brownies at the end, I would STILL try to give CD a 6/5. Seriously, their baked goods are far and away the most delicious and decadent of anything I've tried (including non-vegan). The brownies are giant, moist, and fudgy, Â the peanut blondie is perfectly salty, the pie pastry is buttery and flaky, and the thickshakes are so full of ice cream that they barely make it up the straw. I've yet to try the cronuts or cupcakes, but I can only imagine that they are just as good. So (if that's the way you roll), don't be put off by the fact that all the food is vegan. There is certainly nothing healthy about these baked goods, but in the way of the best bakery food, the only disappointment is when you reach the last bite and realise that the best part of your day is nearly over (unless you go back for seconds - I'd recommend you just start with one of everything and go from there).
Pure vegan sorcery. The eggplant parmigiana pie was so divine I may have cried just a little đđ. This isn't just amazing vegan food....it's amazing food....end of story. I couldn't hope to make such rich and flaky vegan pastry but I'm ok with it as long as Cherry Darling's is open for business. Delicious.

The food is just delicious, even a non-vegan would love it! I tried the slices, the snickers cheesecake, the brownies and the cookies and cream doughnuts, the doughnuts were my fave but the cheesecake was also great. The slices and brownies were ironically so rich that I struggled to finish them, which is not a bad thing necessarily, but they are definitely suitable for someone with a hardcore sweet tooth! There was also plenty of savoury food available (which is great as it's always good to see a balanced menu), and plenty of awesome looking drinks and I will be sure to sample those next time I visit, which will hopefully be soon.
I've heard nothing but good things about Cherry Darlings, and their reputation is well deserved. The customer service was great, the staff were very friendly and exceptionally polite. The place was also well laid out as the tables were not too close together and there were room outside for those who wanted to sit there.
The only thing I regret was that I didn't have enough money to tip the staff, which I happily would have done.

The service is friendly, the store is clean, the cheeseburger pie is delicious and the vegan meat substitute is altogether very convincing. Cherry darlings have a lovely array of savoury and sweet options, so there is sure to be something for everyone.
Can't tell its vegan! Incredible array of baked and savory goods on offer and right opposite the tram stop. Black forest cheesecake was yummy
Not being a vegan myself but a lover of delicious sweet treats I checked out Cherry's with sown scepticism. Could not have been more misplaced! How on earth they make such deliciously flavoursome, moist, fluffy cupcakes and 'cheese'cakes without eggs/milk/butter is beyond me. Major, major ups you guys!
Super friendly staff and the owners are lovely. My favourites are the cheeseburger pie and Snackers doughnut. Pretzels milkshake was really good and Oreo stuffed doughnut also. I recommend you get one of everything.

I had been wanting to come here for a ridiculously long time but unfortunately I live about an hour away and don't reguarly go into the city unless it's for lunch or dinner plans.My no-vegan boyfriend and I made a spontanous trip after a lunch date to Cherry Darlings, we both got a donut each and shared and a banana milkshake.Donuts are my favourite baked good and since going vegan I hadn't tried one yet, but it tastes just like a normal donut, except I felt less disgusting afterwards!The milk shake was tasty too!Highly recommend every food enthusiast to come here and learn that vegan food IS good! It's probably a good thing I live so far away, for health reasons haha!Definitely will be back for lunch sometime and treat myself to one of their delicious-looking pies and another donut... of course :P

The best bakery around! I have been here many times and everything is always spot on. Awesome staff, too. I don't know how there's a review about bad service - all of the staff have been smiley and lovely and the owners are so lovely and care about their food and customers. The carbonara and Hawaiian parmy pies are my favourite and the cakes are all so good! Great coffee, too.
I have one big problem with cherry darlings - where were you all my life? why can't you be open 24/7? it's impossible to choose a favourite.. the cheeseburger pie? chicken parmy pie? ham, cheese & tomato croissant? as for the dessert, if I could eat a snickers donut every day, I'd be happy (unhealthy, but that's okay). extra points for being the friendliest cafe in adelaide. vegan or not, if you haven't been to cherry darlings, you need to go immediately.
Adelaide's BEST Bakery. What a delight it was to have a thickshake that was both yummy and kind on my tummy! The staff are warm and welcoming, happy to answer any questions you may have or suggest something new for you to try. Novelty flavoured pies are the best with the "chicken" pineapple parmie being my absolute favourite. Cherry Darlings easily and quickly became my new favourite bakery as soon as their doors opened!!

If you are a vegan, you NEED to get down to cherry darlings, they will not disappoint! The staff are lovely, the bakery is so adorable and the food is amazing! I don't know how anyone can say a bad word about this place because it is simply the best! :) I gladly travel 50mins to get there, it is just so worth it!
Adelaide's equivalent of Melbourne's La panella and Mr Nice Guys. Quaint little bakery, eloquently decorated with treasures. The staff are friendly and clearly passionate about the goods they sell. The coffee is never cold and I have never eaten stale food despite other unkind and uncalled for reviews. I eat there very often and I can safely say I have never had a negative experience. They have a few yummy gluten free options which is a plus! Plenty of seating, cafe situated close to a tram stop and plenty of places to park in nearby streets. Light and airy with outside seating available. Best gluten free, vegan cheesecake in Adelaide.
Something for all tastes. Such an amazing and ever changing selection of both sweet and savoury delicious treats. Even if you aren't vegetarian/vegan, the food will have you puzzled how they make everything so incredibly yummy!

Cherry darlings is a cute family bakery that recently opened. Best of all everything is vegan! I purchased a sausage roll and vanilla slice and both were delicious! I will most definitely be back to try more of both their savory and sweet ranges
Cherry Darlings Bakehouse is a newly opened bakery in Forrestville, right next to the tram stop. Oh yeah and itâs completely vegan! (Though they style themselves as Cruelty Free). Cherry Darlings is the evolution of a home based vegan catering business called Veganised who are well known for their Bakehouse Boxes (full of sweet and/or savoury yumminess) as well as supplying vegan treats to places like Godzilla Pizza and Out Of Step.
I absolutely love Cherry Darlings! Their vegan cheesecake is incredible and their donuts are absolutely delicious. The pies and sausage rolls they make are always tasty and have the best flaky pastry. The hard work and dedication they put in to what they do shines through in their amazing products and excellent service.
The new Richmond Rd location is fantastic too, with easy access and parking itâs difficult to stay away!
The most amazing staff! They were so busy on a Sunday, but everyone was smiling and it felt like a stress free environment. The food was immaculate, so much to choose from as well, such a perfect place! We will come back as often as possible, the prices are super fair as well!

My partner suggested we go here, and actually wasn't very interested in vegan food, but had no johns the best cupcake I had in my life. The bakery food smell is so good inside and we bought the last food for the day around 2pm on a Sunday.
Staff were friendly and looks like a very trendy and popular establishment. We'll definitely be coming back.
My all time favourite Vegan baked goods. From the pies n sausage rolls to the cup cakes, slices and all things custard related, oh and let's not forget the xmas dinners. You cannot go past this bakery for a good vegan feed, and if you're not vegan you will be fooled. Fed a table of 10 a birthday cake to rave reviews and when told it was vegan they were all shocked. It's just damn good cooking, vegan or not!
This is a nice vegan bakery. I would give 4.5 stars if it were an option. Very occasionally one of the products we buy is stale, which is why I havenât given a full 5 stars. They offer an extensive selection of pies and cakes. Relatively consistent quality. The pies are available cold for pick up as well as from the pie warmer. My favourite pie is the lentil pot pie, which is one of the more âtraditionalâ flavours they offer. This is the place to come if you are hungover and want a cheesy pie and cake. They also make coffees and milkshakes, and you can order birthday cakes here too. Other drinks are available. The lady who used to work here was a real delight, so friendly!
Recently got a variety of cupcakes, donuts, and pies to take to work for a birthday - everyone RAVED about how delicious everything was, and they couldn't believe they were vegan and so tasty! Sausage rolls were the favourite, but everything was excellent.
