An absolute delight. Dinner for two after late night shopping - food was delicious, service attentive & beer cold. We will be back. The set menus for groups looked like very good value. Soft shell crab was a standout dish. Plus it's in the Entertainment Book. Winner!
Delicious food and vegan section on the menu which is very rare for Chinese. We had salt and pepper eggplant, shallot pancakes, Chinese broccoli and ma po tofu. So happy will definitely be back.
Solid chinese food.. Been here quite a few times with large groups of friends. Service is stupid fast and always a little lack luster but what they produce from the kitchen is what makes this place and their other restaurant, T-Chow, great!
Cheers Park Lok. This was a new restaurant for all four of us and we were more than happy with having chosen Park Lok Chinese Restaurant to dine at. We were greeted at the door and led to a table. The restaurant was spacious, if a little noisy and there was a lot of room between tables so movement around the room was easy. The service was excellent, staff were helpful and attentive, without being intrusive.
We were very pleased with our choice of meals. Entrees were easily shared between four people and we especially enjoyed the Salt and Pepper Soft Shelled Crab and the Sichuan Beef.
All of us agreed we that had thoroughly enjoyed our evening and that it was a place worth coming back to.
Seriously Good Food!. This place is a favourite if you want good quality chinese food. There is lots of space in the restaurant, which is a nice change from the crammed in placed on Gouger st. The serving sizes are spot on and you just cant go past the Prawn & Cabbage rolls
Stunning food, attentive & friendly service & excellent prices. I recommend the green peppercorn chicken, shallots with ginger & the steamed duck but everything is delicious.
Our Fav Chinese eatery!. Been here multiple times-excellent food at great prices. Service and food consistently good. Easy place to access. Taken other people here and everyone has always enjoyed it. We would not hesitate to return!
Good Quality Chinese Food. The Park-lok was visited as it is a newish Chinese Restauarant on the block. The selection of entree's from Dim Sum to Cabbage Rolls and Prawn Samosa we ordered were all good quality, probably should've ordered more (becasue they were so tasty). The main courses we shared, of Boneless Duck, Salt and Pepper Soft-shell Crab and Pork Belly Hot Pot with Pickled Vegetables all came to the table at good intervals. The flavours were excellent. The waiting staff were polite and knowledgable and diligent without being pushy. Overall an excellent expereince and highly recommended.
Seriously love these guys. The owner was the former owner of T-Chow and it hasn't been a disappointment. All of my favourite dishes are exactly as amazing as I remember along with the service. Tendor Duck, Taro Pork.... All amazing. Definitely will be coming back as a regular.
Love it. I read somewhere that the original T-Chow chef had gone here, so had to try it... I ended up coming here twice in one week! I love it. The food is so good and the service is a little cut above many other Chinese restaurants in the area (though, I don't really mind the 'wham-bam-thank-you-m'am' attitude if the food is good!). I almost didn't want to review this place in case too many people started flooding it...but it is too good not to share!
Parking into Park Lok. I stumbled upon this new restaurant by accident as I was looking for a park on Grote St. So I asked my visiting friend from Melbourne to try it with me. To say they impressed me is an understatement. With its spacious classic Chinese Restaurant Interior, fish tanks holding crab, abalone, barramudi on left and big bar also at left, the feeling is clean and sumptious. Big round tables and some smaller ones are well fitted into the space, with full tablecloths and cultlery settings. The energetic Manager & host, Eddie was very warm and welcoming, and attentive to our needs, helping us with some recommendations.
We enjoyed tasty duck, seafood and chicken dishes, all very generous and large sizes, plenty of food on the table ! I found the vegetables fresh, of good quality and consistent. It seems the invisible owner was formerly chef from a famous Adelaide Chinese restaurant, now elderly and guiding his chefs here to a high standard. Priced well, value for money, no surprises and a good wine list, I have been parking into Park Lok few more times since !
Fantastic experience!. We had our Mandarin class graduation dinner here and the food was amazing. I ordered chicken with salty fish and tofu in hot pot which exceeded my expectations. Other dishes ordered by my classmates also came up tops - roast duck, steamed prawns with garlic and my favourite of all, hotpot taro with pumpkin which was absolutely amazing. Service was fast, waiters were polite and knowledgeable, and prices were very reasonable. I am exceedingly fussy with Chinese food and this one is for keeps!! Highly recommended!! Ps -wine was great too!!
NICE!. Food was of good quality, nothing much to say really, standard Chinese Restaurant, not too expensive. Would go back again.
On The Chopping Board
+4.5
All in all, Park Lok came out with a solid effort and delivered tasty, familiar Cantonese food. So much so that the family will be heading back on Wednesday night to try more of what they have to offer. Keep you all posted! I should also mention that while prices very reasonable (most dishes had prices below $15) the service was both attentive and friendly. We were served a jug of water and a basket of prawn crackers upon taking our seats. I find this very rare for Chinese restaurants these days. An added bonus! Ping Pong gives Park Lok 8/10 chops on the chopping board.
