Went in for dinner before a show and enjoyed a beautiful seafood laksa. Very generous serve full of seafood. Flavour was just amazing. Service was prompt and staff are just so lovely. What a great place in a fantastic location.
Even though it’s been said numerous times good food shouldn’t go without the praise it deserves. The price is unbelievably good and the food is delicious. In my opinion they serve the best chicken rice in town and the Laksa is one of my favorites outside of Singapore.
The place isn't very fancy, but has a nice vibe to it. The staff are very friendly, but some don't have amazing English skills - enough to take your order. They were trialling a new drink they are launching in summer also and all the patrons were offered a sample.
We ordered two laksas, two drinks and shallot pancakes. The laksas arrived first and the portions were HUGE!!! I had the vegetarian dumpling laksa with the vegetable-based soup. Not sure how vegetable-based it was as it tasted like a normal laksa, but the waitress did confirm with me that I ordered a vegetable based one (without chicken stock or prawn paste), so I'm going to hope it was right. You can request the vegetable soup base, which is awesome for strict vegetarians!! Firstly, the dumplings were delicious!!! Stuffed full of what appeared to be tofu and different veggies. I asked later if they sell them frozen for takeaway and the man said that unfortunately they don't as freezing ruins the smell, taste and consistency of them (bit disappointing as I would have loved some to take home and cook up whenever I wanted). The laksa itself was delicious also! One of the best I've had. I asked for the laksa to be mild, but it was still pretty spicy! Disappointing to read others saying they use MSG... Hope this isn't the case. My dining partner had the combination laksa and it looked like there was heaps of prawn, chicken, tofu and veggies in it. They definitely give you value for money with the ingredients!!!
Downside of the experience was that we had to wait a while (I'm talking in excess of about 30 mins after we ordered and received our laksas) before our drinks arrived, even though there was about 3 staff at the bar area the whole time and only two other tables full in the whole place. Also had to request water later on also. Service in this area could be worked on!! In particular when people are ordering spicy foods, water should be a given. The shallot pancakes arrived even later than the drinks and by this point we were really full and only eating them because it was a waste to just leave them. Pro tip to staff: serve drinks and entree before mains.
Overall the experience was good and I look forward to returning! Really cheap dinner with all of what we ordered coming in at around $40! They also offered takeaway containers, but I had to put the rest of my soul in there by myself (slight inconvenience). Just to give you an idea of how huge the portions are, I left feeling extremely full and my leftover soup filled the takeaway bowl to the brim!! Definitely worth a visit. If you live within 5km of the place, they also offer takeaway!
I usually get combination laksa here once a week or so, it tastes good but apparently they use MSG. What annoys me about this place is how the price of takeaway combination laksa seems to change every time I order it. Not too sure why, just very annoying.
Edit: seems like price issue resolved, unconfirmed MSG use but their laksa is pretty ace! I love the abrupt but overly friendly staff. Would recommend to any laksa lovers
Great food and friendly staff. They offer 100% vegetarian laksa with no chicken stock or shrimp paste, which is delicious. Cheap and cheerful, great food.
Best laska. I was so excited when they opened on Hutt street, a stones throw from my house! I just love the laska here my fav is the dumpling laska but they are all good. Service was great very friendly and polite. Look forward to many more visits.
Great food!!!. This has to be the best Laksa i've tried so far, great location and friendly staff. Highly recommended must try!
17 years soup recipe the best Laksa in town
Had the hainan chicken rice! The best chicken rice outside Malaysia! Chicken was moist and juicy, and the dipping sauce were incredible. Great value for money and very friendly service
Hainan Chicken Rice. Tender, juicy chicken fillets. Love the sauce sooooo much!
Easy, quick, efficient and budget friendly. I like to go there on cold days when I m starving and order a chicken dumpling Laksa. It' s good and I like I don't have to wait too long for my food. Portions are generous so I always end up asking for a takeaway box (so it s my lunch or dinner for the next day). I like their homemade hot milk tea as well.
One of the best Laksa's in town. I had the Combination Chicken and Seafood laksa with dumplings, we asked for extra bok choy and rice noodles and decided to take away. I added coriander to mine at home. It's big enough to share.

When is first entered to this place, I was not very optimistic because of its look, I mean, it's not bad looking but didn't look great either. I didn't see to many people eating on a Sunday at 6 pm, and this was a bit of a red flag for me. Anyway, I decided to give it a try. I ordered the shallot cake as an entree, it's very yummy. I also ordered the prawn laksa, it was pretty good, it's not the best I had ever tried, but it's pretty good for the price and the serve was very generous, it had plenty of king prawns. The service was quick and costumer service was not too bad. The restaurant need to look more tidy, but for the money, this restaurant gets my 5 star review.
Delicious, affordable, friendly, and fast. I head here for a quick work lunch when my parents visit; I've been three times with consistently good food/service each time. Their laksa is very quick to come out (nice level of spice - watch out for beginners), and their other menu items (S&P prawns, home-made iced tea) have been great so far. It's a huge bowl, so if you're sharing between two people, just ask for extra bowls, they're happy to oblige. I'll definitely be working my way through the menu!
The soup taste authentic albeit a bit watered down. Toppings especially cucumber in the laksa and tofupok is as authentic as you can get.
