Fantastic food and service. Came as a group of 10 and they promptly put some tables together and got us seated. The flavors of the food were incredible, and good sized portions to boot. Will defiantly be back again soon.

Recommended. Take a Burgundy or Pinot - perfect to match the excellent duck themed menu.

Fortune Duck.. A beautiful place to go for a beautiful meal. I've been plenty of times and I can never stop coming back. I'm coming back on the 19th to experience their amazing staff and amazing Peking duck for my boyfriends birthday, It'll be his first time there and i'm positive that he'll love it as much as i do.

A hidden gem in the heart of China Town- not a fancy place but absolutely brilliant Peking duck and excellent service - we will definitely go again !

The duck and the roast pork here is excellent, especially the roast duck. Prices are reasonable with good sized serves, but occasionally there is one or two times when we found one dish underwhelming.

So very disappointing. Walked in for early Sat night dinner looking for a quick tasty meal. We ordered salt and pepper squid, beans with XO, hot and spicy soup and chef special with shredded pork and pancakes. The whole meal was a total disappointment. The salt and pepper squid was inedible with thick thick batter and chewy squid we gagged on trying to swallow. The pork pancakes were doughy and the sauce was glue like and tasteless. Beans were mediocre, tasty but were also over cooked. The highlight was the soup, tasty and full of flavour. If only this followed through the rest of their dishes. Upon paying the bill we told the waitress how dissatisfied we were and she ignored us! I said excuse me but that was the worst salt and pepper squid I've eaten and she said it's always like that. Then she spoke in Chinese to her colleague, ignored me and that was that. Bad service, terrible food. Ill never return.

Excellent duck menu. Try try try!. You can't go wrong with any of their duck menus. Their duck is not that thickly fat which is good. Service is very good and quick. The guy (maybe the owner) who chops ducks served us he is very friendly and funny guy. Other waitress serves you with smile.

Dinner time!. I had been here few times mostly during the day. This time I came here to try their dinner dishes. Not many people dine in when we were there, so we did not need to wait long for the food. The food was good however it was too small portion compare to the others restaurant on gouger street. The duck dish with the tipping sauce was full of flavour. The chicken dish was good as well, but not the vegetable. I enjoy it!

Amazing!

Great value for money! More of a casual place to eat but menu choice was great, cheap drinks and nice service.

Mix 'vegetables'. Mixed vegetables with cashews was basically 80% raw onion...why?

It's a shame that some reviewers have had bad experiences. Tonight 3 of us enjoyed our meals. Service was prompt, polite and helpful. Our meals were cooked quickly and arrived in good time. Overall a nice meal. Second time here and will be back.

Average. Dined here last night. Food was acceptable but nothing exceptional. There was a pool of oil in the bottom of each dish at the end of the meal which disappointed me. Will not be going back in a hurry.

Just Ordinary... Staff were plesant and attentive, but food was a little too average! Peking Duck was not the best, Tea Smoked Duck was bland but on an up note the Crispy Skin Pig Intestine was ok!!! Probably not again for this place!

Pork Rubber. Last night I went to the Fortune Duck on my own and had the BBQ pork and a steamed rice. The pork was like rubber, chewy and tasteless. The rice was almost cold. When I expressed my disapointed to the staff they mearly nodded and smiled. Never again

This place is like BBQ city but with better service, cleaner cutlery and better decor. Lunch time prices are cheap and the meat good (albeit, a smidge less than I would like). Worth transitioning to.

Best duck. My friend and I are regulars at this place, we love it. The service is quick, friendly and attentive and nothing is too much trouble. The food is excellent, we always have the roast duck, which is superb, the English spinach with garlic sauce and another dish. I can highly recommend the red curry duck. We wanted to try the pig intestine but were a little scared so they brought out two pieces for us to try! It was ok but not to our Western palates! This is a great, friendly and well priced restaurant that we will keep returning to.

A favourite!. Definitely one of my favourites! If it's peking duck on my mind, I'm here to eat at Fortune Duck. They have nice tasting and crispy duck for their peking duck and their menu items are all great tasting. Highly recommended

Impressed. Have tried many of these chinese style BBQ Duck eateries in Adelaide before. The quality of the BBQ duck @ Fortune Duck is consistently the best I have tried to date. Have tried it numerous times both dining in and take away and have been impressed every time. If you like BBQ Cantonese style duck I highly recommend you give Fortune Duck a go!

Great!. We had a craving for duck so decided to try Fortune Duck. Not disappointed. Service was friendly and quick from the moment we walked in. They had an extensive lunch special menu but we hit the standard menu and went straight for the peking duck entree, crispy duck, crispy pork and some greens for good measure. The duck was superb - tasty, tender, juicy - everything you could want in duck. I want to go back for the two course peking duck...
Never Again
Omg so bad!!!! The food was terrible!!! It's like they take all the rejected peices of meat and make meals from them. Little chicken all bone in my crispy skin chicken. Service is none existent until u wish to pay then there are like 6 people clamoring to take ur money. All 4 meals came out separately. My partners laksa had gone cold because he didn't want to start eating without me. Mine came 15 minutes later!!!! will never return.

We arrived the restaurant last night waited 15 mins no one came to table to get order then we have to went to the cashier to order, after ordered we've been sitting there for 30 mins waiting for food, they didn't even serve a soup! Tried to ask the waiter all they had was excuse and asked us to wait 15 mins more for the entree soup!! That was terrible! No service at all! We're so disappointed been sitting there for an hour and got nothing! That was first time but last time we will never ever go there again!

Quite cheap & cheerful. Not the best quality but fast service and relatively tasty.

Food was average, but I guess you get what you pay for

OMG Duck!. Having never experienced duck before (yes I know! get with the times), I am now a huge fan thanks to Fortune Duck. This is such a great little place, an entree of peking duck, two mains of roast duck and pork and sweet n sour pork, plus rice and a glass of wine each for just over $50 for two people is quite good value! Will definitely be coming here again and again, especially since I have been scouring for good place that does decent sweet n sour pork! HIghly recommend it here!

Delicious. We came here by chance after our first choice had little veggie options - Fortune Duck = tasty lunch menu - all dishes under 10 dollars, two of us and our two boys enjoyed every noodle - extremely friendly service and $5 Coopers - go there for sure!

Tasty BBQ and great service. Can't go wrong.

Come here if you can't get into Ying chow. The service is good, the portions are big and its good value for money.

Best example of Peking duck outside of Hong Kong, bit too much fat/ meat left on the skin, and the duck san chan bow not enough of the duck meat in the mix. Overall good place. Dodgy toilets but

Bring some mints. Sliced pork and duck was ok.Shredded duck soup was just ok too. The worst part was the over use of onions! the mixed vegetables was mainly onions and the ginger scallop dish should have been called ginger onions with scallops. i have never seen so much onion in a dish! Speaking of scallops they were the size of a five cent piece and dry. Was so overdosed with onions I was burping all night!
Ron
Good duck! Very good spinach with two kinds mushroom!
Terrine De Lapin
Best Cantonese roast duck in town!

Red Curry Duck = Amazing!!!

The Best Duck!. By chance we discovered Fortune Duck about a year ago, since then I would say we have eaten there on average at least every 3 weeks! The food never disappoints! Pick anything from the menu as we have tried it all and it is all consistently fantastic.

Great duck. Have been to the Fortune Duck several times....love it! The duck is delicious and the spinach with garlic sauce is to die for. Service is quick and very friendly. Highly recommended.

Speedy take-away service. I ordered a take-away dinner for myself and 4 friends, went for a 15 minute stroll and all four dishes were ready when I returned. The food was delicious, particularly the duck. I haven't eaten in-house but highly recommend it for take-away.

Fortune duck is my restaurant of choice for an affordable dinner in the markets. Their duck is delicious and the service has always been good when I've been there. I recommend it.

The atmosphere was relaxed, even though the restaurant was half full. The pricing was really competitive when compared to the neighbouring Chinese restaurants. For the most part, I had an enjoyable dining experience here. I would consider eating here again if I really had to.

I was pretty pumped about my dinner date at Fortune Duck. Not only because I was catching up with one of the loveliest ladies I know, but also because I had heard such great things about the place! When I entered the restaurant I was instantly pleased to be there with its warm tones and friendly smiling staff. I chose a table and slipped into the bench seat along the side wall because let’s face it, the cushiony bench is where you want to be and when you are the first to arrive you have earned your buttocks the right to undeniable comfort. Now, once my behind was adequately cushioned, I decided to peruse the menu as I waited for my dining partner to inevitably rush through the door all White-Rabbit-styles proclaiming ‘I’m late, I’m late, for a very important date.’ When examining the menu I was impressed by the variety of dishes available. Firstly, I insisted that we get some duck because well… when in Rome! Entrée was the Peking Duck pancakes which were like little bundles of joy. Hol
