I don't know how this place isn't more popular!
Burgers are always great. Staff are super and prices are very fair. I keep going back

Really great prices and great quality burgers. Definitely going to try out more of the burgers. the Crispy Bacon Burger was fantastic!! Really nice staff who were busy and friendly 😀

Unassuming little cosy place tucked away among the suburb. Really pleasantly surprised by how good the burger is. Juicy patty with good flavours in the burger, compliment with some ridiculously tasty chips.
Definitely looking forward to my next visit. This gives some of the other glam boutique burger joints a good run for their money.

honestly a really good burger place the chips are nice and the burgers tasted fresh and homemade
i got grilled chicken burger and the sauce exactly tasted like big mac sauce so that was surprising loll
but over all recommend this place

Amazing burgers and great staff but the new hours have let me down.

Delicious wide range of burgers and nice sides. Gluten free option for burgers. Easy on-line ordering or order & delivery with the usual apps. Eat in is an option as well. Everything appears to be cooked to order with fresh ingredients.

Great burger and great service. We went in on a weekday afternoon. It was quiet and relaxing. Love the food and the environment. I had a veggie burger which was delicious!

Food was great, burger and chips lunch deal for $12 now.
Prices could be marked for clarity for the deal.
Ample parking behind restaurant.

The relish was revolting thick paste & had an awful after taste, that was even after I had scraped it out. I would definitely order again, definitely without relish, relish killed the burger for me. Unfortunately I didn't enjoy my meal because of that. However, the burger & the sweet potato chips were great, great quality & great value. I would have given a 5 if it wasn't for the relish. FB Burgers weren't to know I didn't like the relish, just have without next time.

one of the best burger joints in Adelaide have had the beef burgers in the past and this evening had the veggie delight which is a mushroom burger cause of lent but loved the same too and definitely try the sweet potato fries

Had takeaway burgers last night from FB Magill and they were delicious. I ordered two and could not finish the second, I was sure that the burgers used to be smaller.

The buns are wholemeal so they are a bit healthier than normal.

I had their base burger, Fancy That and it was really good, fresh tasting salad and a great meat patty. The other burger was the Chicky Babe which had a large piece of chicken and a tasty chilli mayo. Only thing that it was not a great choice for takeaway as the bread got a little soggy by the time I got home.

Next time I will be having one of the vegi options.

Just another fast food chain with average or even below average burgers, I seriously cant see the "Fancy" part. The beef in my burger tasted a bit unfresh. I rather go to Maccas.

Absolutely delicious, my number 1 burger stop. Will always keep coming back for more fancy burger whether it be in the city or in their Blackwood cafe, no burger in town compares

Tried this place yesterday, did have high expectations but turned out to be just another trendy modern hipster burger bar, with good quality but average burgers. My partner disliked her burger and preferred the chips that were tasty.. And yet I still continue my quest to find the best burgers in Adelaide. 😭

Fancy Burger have long been a favourite on the Adelaide Burger scene with their store in Blackwood. This has garnered rave reviews online and when Burger Me have visited there – on the down low, no reviews as you would be aware – we have come away feeling generally positive. They have now branched out into the CBD, so we felt it was our duty to quickly undertake some recon and let you – our dear friends and followers – know how this new venue measures up.

Burger places are popping up everywhere in Adelaide. This is definitely one of the better ones. The Magill Fancy Burger restaurant is a modern funky designed place with plenty of parking at the rear.
There's nothing too special about the place. They just make great tasting, fancy burgers. The chips are delicious with a range of sauces to choose from.
Service is usually fast and friendly although you may wait a while if it's busy. Reasonable price. Limited seating for eating in.
I recommend for all those who enjoy their burgers. Probably not for those who are watching their calories.
Steve
Not as good as the other FB's.

And really really irks me that they don't put crispy bacon in their "crispy bacon" burger. Gave them benefit of doubt but three strikes and out now.

Fancy Burger has some fantastic burgers and the chips are a great addition. Although, it is located on Magil road which can make the out door dining noisy.

A terrible experience The staff whom served had nil knowledge he could give of what any of the burgers had in them only very basic like rocket regarding the vego burgers had nil idea what they were made of or what' say the vegi pattie was made of nor what else was pur with it This is totally inappropriate to those with food allergies especially for children's regards
The floor and tables were absolutely filth with only a handful of ppl sitting down eating an 4/5 staff Not one of these employees showed any concern initiative or regard to OH&S never alone just plain decently to us the customers that frankly are the ones whose monies are running your business keeping the roof over all your heads cars you drive clothes you wear food you eat
The fact there was total disregard in training knowledge of your products that the staff member whom was ignorant to this didn't even bother to ask another employee our questions about what the burgers we were interested in consist of was just totally unacceptable also
We had takeaway and frankly if we were not living so close and were not so tired wished to walk away leave but at late hour of day on Sunday with not much else around hungry with children we stupidly paid for what ended up also Food that was unsafe uneatable and aLso missing very.basic things you would think was checked off before the food was handed to us like sauces If we had gone travelled back our food would be stone cold and why should a customer have to d this or have even this worry concern ? The chicken was undercooked there was No Way children or we were going to be eating undercooked chicken! So that was binned the vego burger tasted like some kind of relish so over powering between the worst bread buns I have experienced they had turned to rubber by the time we got home Two streets away Disgusting

The fact the chicken was not cooked inside properly raised our concerns then with the state of uncleanliness n total lack of care respect for earth and safety not to mention wishing for your customers to feel respected comfortable and to sit down n not have Nes clothes ruined by the greasy state of the tables the crumbs food substances squashed on floors drink spills Really How Dare this even be happening
As I have read here I believe Whom ever is owning this establishment is employing no one who has been properLy educated trained in food industry from public relations skills OH&S preparation of foods safely and the safety of stor aging and working with different foods
I have serious doubts the kitchen staff were cleaning the utensils used properly never alone using separate cutting cooking for the different meats and vegetarian dishes
Does anyone even do taste tests with the foods As said the vegetarian burger was so over powered with the relish it was disgusting we basically paid for a lump of relish and a over heaped bunch of rocket shoved between two pieces of bun that had been I presumed warmed up or something or just stale or both as the buns were like rubber revolting
I don't believe anyone is taking any care of the comments here except for those that state the burger they had was OK as there are obvious concerns written here about the cleanliness of this establishment made before our review yet the same concerns are still happening and it is frankly Inappropriate and Toatally Unacceptable for even One person to have experienced one of these concerns .
To have to throw our Money away after being treated with such poor manners by staff with nil knowledge of the food they are selling and serving To stand waiting for takeaway looking at the disgusting state of the tables and floors and counters
Oh to also not even have the sauces we had ordered and paid for placed with the orders and then find the foods are not safe to eat chicken raw inside ... This place started my love for burgers! Having tried both the sweet potato fries and both are delicious. The herbed mayo is perfect and the bbq sauce is heavenly. The burgers were flawless. Great size, fresh bun, juicey patty and lovely fillings. A must visit for burger lovers. See u soon FB's!

As someone who is not a fan of the burger renaissance Adelaide is currently undergoing, the obviously titled Fancy Burger was not something I expected to enjoy. Having said that, I now go there religiously for their vegetarian burgers. I am not vego by any stretch of the imagination, but there is not one, but three different vegetarian burger options and all are deliciously recommended. Service is generally quite good, the tables could be wiped down more often and quickly, and the sides are bare bones. I know everyone likes chips, but what really frustrates me is that none of these places have innovated beyond that. The chips here are delicious, but some more interesting (healthy perhaps?) sides would go a long way. FB's delicious vegetarian options prove beyond a doubt that a burger doesn't have to be unhealthy, but unfortunately it seems the sides do.

Lovely place and friendly staff but had a slight issue with one of our burgers it was swimming in oil and the bun was soggy but once we mentioned it to the staff they replaced it with a very filling nice burger.

Having a keen palette for a gourmet burger, I treated the family to burgers last night for the first time at Fancy Burger Magill. Service was quick and friendly but the quality of the burgers was a mixed bag. A bit of a disappointment compared to so many good past experiences at Blackwood.

Chips were great, a selection of beef burgers were OK to good, and the one steak sandwich ordered was an absolute stinker. Imagine steak so cheap, tough and over cooked that it was only fit for Lassie served in a half stale hard bun. Great work for the jaw muscles.

All in all it was OK. But with very tough competition in the gourmet burger market in the area (eg Nordburger), it will have to improve to survive. Given the fairly high prices it represented fairly poor value overall and will not return. There are much better options nearby in Norwood and North Adelaide.

Decided to visit FB's fancy burgers after seeing great reviews on zomato. Much to my disappointment, the empty tables were filthy with crumbs and grease stains, it was tough to find a decent place to sit. However, the burgers were rather alright - ordinary at most .. I had the sunrise surprise was which alright, but my partner had the steak sandwich and said it was probably most succulent than the burger I was having. I was just displeased with how the staff would actually clear the tables of plates and glasses, but leave the crumbs on the table.

My boyfriend & I came in a while ago & we both enjoyed our burgers! I would recommend ordering a side with it though as we were both still hungry & went and got sushi afterwards! haha.
I would return though :)

Yum! I love the mushroom burger - it's so full of flavour and has a delicious charred taste. The staff have always been lovely and having a selection of sauces to go with the chips is a nice touch.

Double Thumbs Up. I have eaten many burgers in my time and I would have to say that the ones from Fancy Burger are right up there with the best. I placed my order over the phone and by the time I arrived ten minutes later, despite it being a busy Friday night, my order was ready. The staff were friendly and the burgers are huge, making them great value for money. Be prepared to face difficult decisions when choosing which of the four incredibly tasty sauces you would like on your burger and with your fries. The burgers are also served on a wholemeal bun making them the perfect option for health conscious people who want to enjoy a burger without the food guilt. Overall I would highly recommend Fancy Burger to anyone wanting a delicious meal that will not disappoint.

I have to wonder.. I reckon Fancy Burgers are about as good as I have ever had. But, my excitement is in reading the reviews. Best ever, worst ever, lovely clean store, filthy store, amazing buns, buns too thin, patty too small, grumpy manager, best staff. Comparison to opposition that smacks heavily of bias, making one think the reviewer may work for the opposition. For goodness' sake people, review as you find it, truthfully!!!! It is not possible for there to be such contrasting reviews from a simple, yet rather good, hamburger!!!!!

Nothing fancy whatsoever. The burgers are direct copy from grill'd, right down to their uniforms and sauces. Only thing is, they have done a poor job at copying. I'm surprised that grill'd haven't filed a law suit. The burgers were mediocre and lack flavours. You will have better quality meat patty buying it from the supermarket. It's no surprise that every time I drove past, their store looked empty.

Always Good!. I have been here several times, always good food, always quick friendly service, no doubt I'll be back.

Nice burgers BUT !. We enjoyed our burgers but as for the cleanliness of the restaurant 0 out of 10. Half way through eating we noticed there was a large amount of grime build up on front window sill along with dead blow flies and the wall tiles were black from grime . Just hope kitchen was not the same !

My friend and I came here for dinner and the food was amazing!! Will definitely go here again! 10/10 for service and food

Strange loyalty card system. My boyfriend and I live near FB St Morris and have the loyalty cards. We have always been able to get both cards stamped if we were ordering two burgers, even if we weren't both present when we picked them up. The staff have always said that if we have paid for two burgers they will stamp both our cards. However, we were up to the last stamp before we got free burgers and I went to pick up our order of two burgers and two chips and the woman who served me, the store manager, refused to stamp both of our cards because my bf wasn't standing next to me. She told me that we would have needed to phone and order separately and both gone in and both paid separately to have both gotten a stamp. I found that ridiculous because the 7 times before then we hadn't needed to do that, and why did we both need to be there and pay separately if at the end of the day two burgers were being paid for? It just seemed like unnecessary difficulty. As it hadn't been an issue in the past and she refused to stamp both cards (after I had paid) it seemed like they just didn't want to stamp them because we were close to getting free burgers. We are both students and would always go there because we were building up our stamps to get free burgers. A loyalty card is a great idea and we did keep going back because of it but my experience last time has put us off of going back after we finish these loyalty cards.

I ate a burger. Fancy Burgers are the best burgers I've had in Adelaide.
They're simply delicious, the place has a good vibe.

It's no Kenji, but I like it.

Good decor. good music. great service (with added hilarity). GREAT BURGERS. Better than some other burger franchises in Norwood and the CBD!

Was quite nice. My partner and I enjoyed the food and the place was quite nice, we sat outside on a sunny day which was good! We thought it was a little pricey for what we actually received though! Overall I give it a 7/10

Nice. Trying to find the best burgers in town, so I ride my bike around to all the different burger places to see what they have. Fancy burgers has a great tastey selection, and awesome little restaurant. Ive already been back twice. It can be a little pricey for what essentially is a burger and chips, but its worth it
Jen
Lurve lurve lurve it! Had farmers market on gf, best burger ever. Thanks fancy burger for bringing great tasting burgers back into my gf life :0) p.s. Chips were fabo too.
Rebecca
As a regular I love their service, the vibe, price and of course, the burgers! Great portion size and great quality burgers. Highly recommend!

Just there now. Angus had a mini Moo Moo and loved it. I had a Holy Smokes on gluten free and both were much better than I expected based on previous reviews. Service was good and efficient. Good job, Angus (10yo) wants to come back. Folks just remember we are talking about burgers and these did not disappoint.

Love the new store. Fresh fun and trendy. I always go for the BBQ bacon steak sandwich with smoked chilli mayo. Sooooooo yummmmmm!!!! And never disappoints!
Fergus Grant
I feel compelled to write about my experience at FB. My Holy Smokes was very average, burnt and dry on one edge and fairly tasteless. I had heard great things, but for taste and value, it wasn't in the same ballpark as Burger Foundry just down the road. I hope BF doesn't get the squeeze because the cool kids (and there were plenty) want mediocre trendy burgers. Sorry FB, you're not for me.
Clive Jacob
Really disappointed- just got home with my "fancyburger" take away to find the chicken completely burnt, burger inedible as burn taste through whole thing. Decided to just eat the bun but it tasted pretty stale. Complete waste of money, food this bad shouldn't be sold :(

Fancy Burger on Magill road is the third store that has opened in Adelaide. I was just checking it out to see what the fuss was all about. A trophy as a table number was pretty fancy. However I think we had a grumpy waitress.
