Quick seafood Nasi Goreng fix, fresh and hot, and combination hot box for the big man. Decent sized seafood serving and the boy couldn't complain. Easy dinner fix when your so tired everything seems like a challenge. Spring rolls a little greasy but hey sometimes it's a good thing. Just need some spice when requested hot. Can't complain. Didn't even get through a quarter without being totally full leftovers tomorrow yay!!
Well, I know abt Szechuan food, and they did quite descent job. By chance, I get known the cook there, and every time he would like introduce some of his new dishes to me. That's the guy with passion would do. Ok, negative side, probably first mention would be a little pricy. Second I would say some dishes are too salty for me, but that's the way Szechuan food is.
Listen. This shitty hole in the wall, poorly named Asian eatery looks like a wok in the box rip off, but let me tell you... These people know how to noodle and wok. Doesn't look like much, but everything is really good. They have an extended menu that is all Chinese that you can only see when you go in. I recommend the fried chicken and chilli dish. So good. Only for people with an incredibly high tolerance for spice. Also just a heads up, if you get take away, always add on fifteen minutes on to whenever they say your food will be ready. They are always late.
NEVER DISAPPOINTS!. I've been chowing down on the Yummy Box fortnightly for the last few months and they have never let me down. Nasi Goreng, Salt & Pepper Squid and the Salted Fish and Chicken Rice are standouts in a consistently tasty, cheap menu. I strongly recommend you get stuck into that Yummy Box pronto!
My local takeaway. Never dined in but may now that the redevelopment of the shop is complete. However, the takeaway is always reliable, affordable, tasty and well portioned. Not a fine dining experience but lovely filling winter food that does the job.
I have a love/hate relationship with Yummy Box at Park Holme.
‘Love’ because (IMO)it’s truly is the best Asian restaurant in the area. Great variety on the menu, and I’ve never been disappointed with taste or freshness of dishes in both dine in or take away. Their Fish with Ginger and Shallots is the best I’ve ever had, and the Peking Pork and dumplings are also exceptionally tasty.
The ‘Hate’ is that it seems the kitchen is disorganised and doesn’t handle “busy” very well. Often there’s a very long wait for food if ordered via take away, and if the restaurant has a lot of patrons when dining in the food will come out in no real order and often after very long wait times.
I love their food, but after a few experiences, I’ll now only ever order or dine in very early to avoid the long wait times
100% Chinese Sichuan food, if you want to experience the pure Chinese flavor, please have a try!
Excellent food but the waiting time is so long. Took them 40mins to have my food ready to go. That's the only negative.
