Review Urumqi Uyghur Cuisine - Adelaide

Delicious east turkestani food! The spicy fried lamb noodles are so so good. The lamb kebabs are grilled to perfection with desirable amount of fat and meat. Staff is nice, service is quick when not too busy. I highly recommend dining here. Street parking is available nearby - free and paid.

Walked past this place a few times a decided to try it out for dinner. It seems to be a very popular location so I would highly recommend booking a reservation. The staff was very accommodating. The menu is quite wide with so many amazing options at very good prices. The lagman is a must try- very authentic and reminded me of my childhood. The salads and the dumplings pair very well with the mains as they’re light and refreshing helping break through the heaviness of the main dish. If you’re looking for some authentic Uyghur food at a decent price I highly recommend this place. Also I’m pretty sure the dishes are all made fresh to order as they took a bit to come out but the food is so totally worth waiting for 😌👌🏻

Been to this restaurant for the first time. Food was sooooo delicious. Especially their noodles which are home made were so yummy. Highly recommend this place. Will definitely go back again and again 👍👍👍

Delicious food, lovely staff and nice seating. The food does take a bit of time though (nothing in comparison to its competitors, so 10+ for that). Would absolutely recommend for some authentic flavours.

We didn’t enjoy our meals at all. Too salty and too garlicky. The plates are not well presented and very expensive. The place is really run down and somewhat dirty. Sorry, but didn’t like it at all.

Great flavours. Great price. We order chicken on a bed of noodles, 2 kebabs and a fried rice. Kebab was nice and tender with Charcoal flavours. Fried rice was nice and fluffy and flavoursome. Chicken noodles was fragrant and luscious. BIG servings, we took home what we couldn't finish and had a second meal the next day. Will be back 👍

Nearly all the dishes I've tried here over the past few years have been great, and the portions are generous (although it can be a bit on the oily side). So if all you're looking for is a good meal, it's fantastic. But the service is an absolute disgrace. Both of the waitresses are very unfriendly (especially towards Chinese customers I feel - yes, even if you speak English), act like entitled and annoyed brats while working, and have major attitude even when it's not prompted. The customer service is so bad that despite the outstanding food, it makes for an uncomfortable eating environment, and I for one no longer want to come back.

This was a random pick but a lovely surprise! A very enticing menu - I had a hard time picking, but settled for the handmade noodles with meat and vegetables. They will adjust the spice level to your taste. This was delicious and a generous serve. I will be back!

Urumqi Uyghur Cuisine - Tongue Twister but your Tastebuds will Thank You.

Hi foodies! So it's my birthday, a friend was visiting from America and I wanted to go somewhere different. I contacted another food instablogger @thediningchair_, she generally knows the best noodle bars or Korean eateries to go to. She'd mentioned a number of them but then asked if I'd tried Uyghur food. I'm embarrassed to say that I'd never heard of the culture before, let alone the cuisine. Quick Google search and I was just that little bit informed. The food was intriguing! What was even better was that the noodles are hand cut, they have freshly cooked meat on charcoal and it was rustic. It was exactly what I was looking for.

To read the rest of my review click on the link below.

The table was dirty and the WAITRESS who served us wears EXTREMELY UGLY ATTITUDE. Even after requesting to make the meat well cook we had to send the chops back and in return they burned it like charcoal. We ordered 5 different dishes but all of them were below average(No I am not eating the Uyghar food for the first time). Did not put on the heaters on after multiple request. Someone from us had to get up and put it on. AVOID THIS PLACE!

This restaurant serves decent uyghur cuisine and the dishes are appropriately priced. Our favourites are the meat skewers and handmade noodles. The only feedback is that the food are quite salty to our liking, and we were left thirsty the whole day.

We three come to enjoy the recipe from northwest of China, the food served there was great and large, also not very expensive…
Average about 20 dollars pp.
