We went to the House of Tien on Friday the 26th October to celebrate my husbands birthday and my son's year 12 graduation, it was a recommendation from our family doctor as we were not sure where we should try. I must say, the food was beautiful and fresh, it was great value for money, the staff were lovely, the waiter had a cheeky sense of humour, which was nice! and we took the rest home as it was far too much, I would recommend this place highly. And yes we will be going back!
Seriously one of the best Chinese restaurants in Adelaide! Staff are a delight to chat with, always friendly and well mannered. Every dish we have tried is simply divine with many varied dishes to choose from... always a favourite place to meet friends or a quiet dinner for two. One of Adelaide's best kept secrets... Five Star!!
Went here for my Dads 84th birthday on the 19th January. Had a very lovely meal with very good serving sizes. All 6 meals were very tasty and full of flavour. Drink service was a bit slow, we had a new waiter apparently but it certainly wasn't a big issue for us. We were very happy with our meal and the prices. Good car parking facilities.
I can highly recommend a visit.
Food was good quality (included Peking duck) and service was fast and friendly. Good portions were generous and price reasonable. So there may be better quality Chinese restaurants in the world but for what myself and my family ate, I give it 5 stars.
I also deliver to this place. All o can say is the owner is a very charismatic personality and a please to deliver to. Also giving me tips on a better delivery next time I omega. Helpful fellow
We visited this place for the first time and the food is delicious. Big juicy prawns in the fried rice and hokkein noodles, sizzling Mongolian lamb was very tasty and the sweet and sour pork was what you would expect. The chicken skewers were a very nice entree and the quality of the meat in all dishes was overall better than your usual Chinese restaurant.
The staff are very friendly, attentive and very helpful, the food came out quickly and hot.
The ambience inside was a little weird, it was quite empty when we went, although this was fairly early evening on a weekday and there was an elderly lady (who may be the owner or relation of the owner) who was sitting one table over watching something on her iPad at full volume...and with no background music on in the restaurant, it was a little annoying and distracting.
The decor inside is a little tired but clean and tidy.
Price-wise: A bit expensive, you are looking at about $20 per main plus rice and entree drinks etc. Our meals (for 2) came to around $100 including a drink each. That being said, the portion sizes are large and we had enough leftovers for a takeaway.
All up, I can recommend, I will definitely return but possibly order a bit less food!
Food was quite nice, and considering my palette isn't a big fan of Asian food. However, I enjoyed it thoroughly and definitely recommend the soft shell crab 🤤
Visited dine in on a Thursday night. Service was efficient. Food was reasonable with very large portions. Good value for money. Would visit again for a lazy weekday meal.
The service was prompt, staff friendly, food absolutely delicious, prices reasonable
Great chinese food always. Makes the best prawn dumplings and hot and sour soup and everything else too. Serves are large but food quality and flavour the best.
