Review Grenfell 110 - Adelaide

Miss J
Nice ambiance with indoor and verandah seatings. Sourdough was really crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Good bread. 2 racks of ribs were marinated in bbq sauce and the meat just falls off the bone. Tastes so good. T Bone was cooked medium rare and so tender, it melts in your mouth. Went really well with the blue cheese sauce. Mushroom sauce was also really delicious, wish I had more. Housemade fries were crispy enough. And greens paired well with all the meats. Toasted almonds were crunchy. Pricey for the size served but they all tasted good.

Visited with a group of 8 on a weekend and the place was packed. Good thing we made a booking! I tried my mate’s 100 day steak and it was heaps good. Mine on the other hand, was just a little harder to chew and had quite abit of fats. Definitely recommend a visit here if you are after steak.

Had the steak here ages ago and the experience was great. Had it recently to celebrate our anniversary but the quality seems to degrade. With windy and cold weather one expect heater to be put out but the team was ignorant. Indoor dining was said to be full for our party of 12 but til we finish eating , the place was still half empty. Maybe due to covid restriction?

Had a wonderful experience here and very much loved the Eye Fillet we got. I definitely recommend it. The waiting staff were also very friendly and quite attentive.

#Love the steak, service needs to be improved. I ordered a bread to start but the server forgot it. I ordered a blue cheese sauce together with our steak but its not on our plate.

I was looking forward to dinner here. However I found the atmosphere in the restaurant not good. We were on a table which felt very claustrophobic. Also, my steak was undercooked. I had ordered medium rare.

I have always driven past A Hereford Beefstouw and wanted to book dinner. It did not disappointment! Online booking was easy and our table was ready. Staff friendly and attentive fabulous service. The wines were excellent and the beef was amazing, with garlic and blue cheese butter amazing sides we had the green beans.... We had an Armagnac each to finish which was amazing end.

Amazing $25 express lunch deal, and great atmosphere! I was a bit disappointed with the steak however, as it seemed far too chewy and hard to swallow. The lemon sorbet was also a bit too sour, and service was a bit slow.

Amazing experience! The food and wine was fantastic. I have to give a special shout out to David who was exceptional, sharing his wine and food knowledge with us. He went above and beyond. We will definitely be back!

This is the place you come for a nightcap and the post-midnight munchies, especially if those munchies involve a craving for caviar. Adelaide’s first late-night supper club is reminiscent of a bygone era, with beaded chandeliers, velvet booths and ultra sophisticated surroundings. There is definitely some cues from New York City here.

Highly recommend the pork cutlet. Orange creme catalana and beetroot medley were also really good. Excellent food and cocktails, service ranged from okay to excellent between two waiters.

I should note that we came to visit the lounge/bar area of the restaurant, not the restaurant itself. But that being said, the retro jazzy atmosphere, ambiance and service were exceptional. The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about their wines and spirits, and they went out of their way to cater to our dietary requirements and refill our glasses whenever nearing empty. We also tried some of their desserts which were amazing. Yes this is a pricy place, but I would return for the atmosphere and service alone. With a sophisticated 1940s feel and servers in bowties, this is the kind of place where you'd want to be dressed to the nines. Real classy, real elegant! I'll definitely be returning for dinner!

I couldn't have asked for a better restaurant! Firstly the service was impeccable, the maitre d was outstanding in his manner without being to much, he set the tone for the rest of the evening. We had a drink at the bar initially, the bar staff were fantastic and personable. Professional yet very friendly. It was like we had been there before with how lovely the staff were towards us from the beginning. The atmosphere was beautiful due the the amazing decor... I just loved the look and feel of the whole place. The food was a perfect complement to the establishment in every way. The flavors where just perfect and the whole meal was delicious... the menu wasn't big but I really liked that as it was easy to decide and couldn't ask for better. The wine list had a great choice in price point which I like, some places in adelaide at that level have gone to expensive and this was a nice wine list at good prices.

I say in the booths and they were so comfortable and it was a perfect evening. My friends and I have already planned to go back in a month and I can't wait!

Looking for a treat then this is definitely a place to come for fantastic service, top notch food and beautiful decor.
Came here a couple of months ago for my birthday and every part of the nights experience was wonderful. The place feels like u've stepped back in time with the velour couches, the warm ambient lighting from a chandelier above ur dining table, the jazz in the background and service that just makes u feel u are the most important in the room :)
Start off with a couple of cocktails in the Soho lounge made by bar staff that look the part with bow ties and braces and perfectly kept beards, then make ur way to the Manhattan room for glorious dindins. Stand out dishes I remember were the Beef Carpaccio, Pork Raviolo (one big delicious ravioli), & the Eye Fillet.
The food and service is worth what u pay and will be back to try the late nite supper for sure 👌

The Propaganda Club is a beautiful and sophisticated restaurant and cocktail bar and Adelaide’s only late night supper club. The venue is inspired by New York charm and is absolutely stunning with its crystal chandeliers, plush lounges and parquetry floors. It just exudes glamour and elegance.

Searching for a nice place to have a few drinks and a possible bite to eat one Friday night for a friend's birthday, I (Amanda) suggest trying the recently opened Propaganda Club. Not having visited before I wasn't sure what to expect and decided to email Propaganda to ensure the location would be suitable for a group of 30 'something' year old ladies to spend a night gossiping and sipping pretty cocktails. After some helpful advice from the 'Concierge' at Propaganda, we made a reservation for 12 people in the 'Soho Lounge'.

Loving the many new bars in Adelaide ATM!

After a healthy bar hopping day, we fell into The Propoganda Club for a late night snack and what a snack it was! This food is seriously good, better than I expected and that always makes me a very happy hopper! We shared Pork Belly, which was excellent, croquettes delicious, Bestella chicken cigars, uber yum, better than a previous restaurant I had just been to and the dish is their specialty, so that’s saying something! Although it does amaze me how one dish can have so many different spellings! Bestella, Bistecca, Bastilla, Pastilla blah blah! We finished with the orange catalana, again very nice.

The décor is just stunning, service was impeccable, open all hours, which is just fabulous!

Not much more to say really.

Will definitely return, and soon!

Met a friend after work for an early mid-week dinner here. We took advantage of Happy Hour, and shared some lovely plates of food. Service was great; our waiter/bartender very pleasant, and he informed us of a delay on the food, but it still didn't take long to come out.

The 'Grilled Haloumi Cheese' was served with olive tapenade. I never would have thought to team those ingredients together, however the combination was excellent. Our other dishes were also very tasty.

This place is sophisticated, open till the wee hours, and offers a broad range of food and drinks. Definitely worth a proper gander.

Had the loveliest night here. Food was so delicious and service was exceptional. Can't wait to come back to try more of the delicious cocktails they have on offer!

No idea why this place has a 3.1 rating when every review is 4+. Seriously good food, small but quality wine list. Enjoyed the beets, then pork belt and creme Catalan. A great venue and night.
Adelaide has its own Supper Club and it is legit late night dining. Unlike one of those places that say open till late and close at 9pm, Propaganda Club is a dream come true for late night diners like myself staying open till 6am in the morning. Recently opened on Grenfell Street, it’s a hidden wonder in the basement of Regent Arcade. Walk through the doors and head down the stairs lit by a grand chandelier to this secret club.

Was a really interesting place to try. Groovy selection of food. Had a nice little twist on everything. The staff were all lovely and super friendly. Unfortunately ran out on gluten free bread on the night we went but otherwise was fantastic and can't really kick up a fuss about that. The price is quite high though so not just a casual stop off. Definitely be prepared to pay a fair bit for what you eat.

Came here for dinner on a Wednesday night. The restaurant was empty except for a lone diner at one of the booths. After ordering our food, we were given some complimentary bread. The olive loaf was unexpectedly delicious. A perfect, crusty exterior, and extremely soft and fluffy on the inside.

Luckily I was so impressed by the bread, because I would have been very hangry otherwise since our food took forever to come. I don't understand because the restaurant was basically empty, and we ordered steak tartare which doesn't even require cooking.

That aside, I enjoyed the food. The steak tartare was probably one of the better renditions of the dish I have come across, and the chicken cigars boasted some interesting flavours. It was dusted with what looked like powdered sugar on top, which made for a unique mouthful of sweet and salty. The meat inside was a little too salty for my liking, though.

Overall an enjoyable meal; high quality food with very professional service and a lovely ambience.
The Propaganda Club
Great for after work drinks and food. We came with a group of 10 people around 4pm got seated straight away with full table service. Excellent selection of beers and spirits. We also got Croquettes and Snapper Carparccio which was amazing. This will be our new Friday night after work spot!!

If you’re looking for a sophisticated late night supper venue in the city, then look no further than the Propaganda Club in Grenfell Street, Adelaide.

Adelaide, we have a place thats kitchen doesn’t close til the early wee hours of the morning! And by early, I mean late! Or early?! 6am… heck, it pretty much borders on breakfast!. Our only late night supper club has graced its presence and can be found in Regent Arcade on Grenfell Street. As you enter The Propaganda Club, you’ll be met with a grandeur chandelier and a set of stairs which will lead you down to the sophisticated basement venue… almost like going down a very luxurious rabbit hole. Heh.
Jacqui's Food Fetish
On a number of occasions, I’ve found myself needing a place to have a quality late night feed – somewhere where the kitchens don’t close by 9:30pm. From the phone calls I’ve made in the past, I’ve discovered such options in Adelaide are few and far between. Enter The Propaganda Club, the new supper club hidden under Regent Arcade (entry from Grenfell Street) where the kitchen stays open until 6:00am – that’s even later than Ying Chow!
The Adelaidian
As you walk down the mostly barren streets of Grenfell Street late on a winter’s weeknight, there’s not much to see, nor much to do. It’s dark, it’s cold. You’re desperately searching for a warm escape from those icy winds – somewhere to relax into a cocktail or two. Your stomach is grumbling and you’ve barely eaten all day, but it’s too late at night for most restaurants to stay open, so you wander the streets in a somewhat futile pursuit.

Nice atmosphere for a drink and a late night nibble. A variety of seating options. Good menu that's available till late and then a slightly smaller one after 2.30am.
