I love street food and Hawker Walker is a great place to indulge. The speed of the kitchen is amazing - we barely sit down after ordering and the food is piping hot on the table (and I didn't hear a microwave beeping). The Kway Teoh is a go to dish and the dumpling noodle soup was excellent.. Great pricing too.

Loved the noodles with BBQ pork. Coming back to try other things on the menu too. Great quality and quick service.

We have visited this Malaysian restaurant a few times now. The food was not too bad, but could do with some improvement. For example, we thought the dry wantan noodles were too sweet and texture of noodles were too al dente. We loved their roast and BBQ pork. Hainanese chicken rice was good, but again rice was perhaps a little undercooked. Sambal beehoon was nice too, but the beehoon texture was too al dente as well. We also ordered char kway teow, whilst it was decent, it was not quite what one would get in Penang. We though it could do with more wok hei, and perhaps ton down on the sweetness. Overall, service was prompt and polite. Will return to try their other dishes.

Had Chicken Rice and along with my friends there. They served great amount of boneless chicken with fair amount of the red chili and green chili sauce. Appreciate the a bowl of hot chicken soup serve along with the meal.

My friend enjoys the Chicken with fried rice that is very flavorful and it will be appreciate if the spicy sauce is serve more in a meal in the future.

Overall is a very satisfying meal if you have high craving on Malaysian cuisine.

I was looking for some Malaysian food and found this little restaurant under the City Library in Francis Street (off Rundle Mall). I ordered Koay Teow and it was cooked to perfection...I will have to go back for lunch tomorrow. Well done guys. No fancy decor, just good food and service.

Found this somewhat new street food eatery serving up Malaysian hawker food in Rundle Mall (located under the City Library). Loving the contemporary vibes, and the affordable menu. Ordered the Sarawak Laksa and the Singaporean Laksa, and found the latter to be a bit underwhelming mainly due to the thick film of chilli oil, or oil from the laksa paste. Both had very good flavours though.

A little gem in Rundle Mall.

They serve pretty much Singaporean-Malaysian cuisine, but not so much option for drinks.
We ordered Hainanese chicken rice and Nasi Lemak with fried chicken wings, accompanied by homemade lemon tea.
Here is the honest review;
1. Hainanese chicken rice -Impressive 4/5. You even get to choose if you want chicken breast or thighs (a lot of places just offer thighs only). Rice is very fragrant, chicken is really tender! Also, chili was amazing😍 Would definitely order again!
2. Nasi Lemak - chicken wings were deeply marinated and crispy. It was delicious. Condiments were pretty average but the chili given in the beginning was really little a d we asked for extra (it was free!). However, rice was soft. Yes it was coconut rice but it was really soft and unpleasant. The rest was great!
3. Homemade iced lemon tea- average.

Will come back to try their pork belly and another hainanese rice!

No nonsense restaurant that serves affordable, just enough on the plate good asian food. Was packed on a saturday lunchtime, lots of asians, a good sign that the food is good.

I love street food so was very excited when I heard that Hawker Walker had opened up. We went for lunch and were really impressed. The speed of the kitchen is amazing - we'd barely sat down after ordering and the food was piping hot on the table (and I didn't hear a microwave beeping). The Kway Teoh was delicious as was the Yong Tau Fu with laksa stock. Great pricing too.

A new player in town for Malaysian cuisine.. the service is excellent and from what I've tried so far, the food isn't too shabby either. Their Yong Tau foo with curry soup is a must try - best part is the soup isn't as heavy as the usual laksa soup you get... Their sambal fried vermicelli is another must try although it could be spicier. I'll definitely be visiting this place more often to try the other dishes on their menu !

Had our first lunch here today. We ordered Hainan Chicken Rice, Braised Pork Belly and Singapore Laksa. My wife said it tasted authentic, like what she had before in Singapore. Our experience was great and a value for the money. We'll definitely return when craving kicks in.

This was our third visit to Hawker Walker, but first after pandemic, definitely the quality has dropped, and service quality has also dropped. Overall, suggest only the kueh tiaw. It was definitely better couple of years ago. Otherwise go to Nan Yang or Warong, all nearby. 3 staff only - 1 chef, 1 serve rice, and prep meat and 1 cashier. There were 3 to 4 tables with plates left on table. No place to sit. The cashier desk is messy. Not sure understaffed or just not attentive. Ordered nasi lemak with chicken wings. Rice is normal rice, not cooked with coconut milk. 3 thinly sliced cucumbers, and sambal is also 1 tea spoon for the amount of rice. Chicken wings are nice. Cost of the dish is around $15. Please do not get this dish, unless they changed or improve the quality. Kueh Tiaw was nice, just as nice as I had it couple of years back. Taste as authentic. It has fish paste, prawns, chicken. Cost of the dish is also around $15. Highly recommended. A guy came in after us around 2pm, ordered hainanese chicken rice, was informed sold out. Please come early if you want it.

Great lunch spot close to Rundle Mall. The Hokkien Mee and Char Kway Two are delicious 🤤 Also tried the roast meat with tossed noodles which was really nice too.
