Review Montezumas Mexican Restaurant - Albany Creek

Most of the meals were nearly identical in looks, some of the food was unavailable (being a Saturday we were surprised). Have been a couple of times previously and its definitely declined in food quality. For a Saturday we were the only ones there for a lunch service. Steer clear of the chicken burrito! Why is there potato on it???? The service was good though.

My family's spot for celebrating birthdays. Lately, the food has not been that great - bland beans, cheese not melted properly. We decided to give it one more try. The No. 28 was okay but No.1 (with shredded beef) was tasteless. My 2year old even said not nice to her food. Monte I'm hoping this is just a phase and y'all would do better. Cos kids birthdays coming soon 😰

Sorry guys but you really dropped the ball. We waited for 45mins after ordering to recieve our meals with a restaurant then was was not busy. The meals that we received where less than mediocre and we left feeling really disappointed. I mentioned this to the staff as I paid and Tegan was apologetic and gave us a complementary meal, she received the feedback well. The experience we recieved was not what I remember from all the years of eating at Montezuma's. Your kitchen really let you down.....the food portions where not comparable to the prices we paid and the quality was extremely lacking, for example - the pork on the tacos was dry and the hard taco shells were not crunchy, the enchilada was burnt on one end, the nachos were bland and lacked a lot of seasoning and lastly there where no Mexican softdrinks were available due to GYG taking all the stock from the wholesaler as was explained to us. When the meals came out they where not delivered all together, it was all delivered over a 10 minute period and the children's meals came out last, this order of delivery to a table is a setup for a bad experience for the whole table. I invite the management of Albany Creek Montezuma's to discuss this further if they wish. With the ugly out of the way I will finish by saying the house sangria and the watermelon refresher we received where absolutely delicious.

The photos look better then they tasted. What a truly disappointing experience! I will never go back to this restaurant. My biggest complaint or learning experience for the team would be...serve the kids meals before you serve the adults. And make sure they all come out together and not sporadically between 10-15mins of each other. Terrible on every level

My family and I used to go here for almost every occasion. Went back today to celebrate my brother and fathers birthday today and unfortunately it was not the same. First of all the pricing hasn’t changed even potentially has gone up in price. So today we got our absolutely favourite entrée it has 4 dips and corn chips. When the entree came out you could almost instantly tell that the serving was smaller and the dips sizing too. Then our mains came out and the portion sizing wasn’t the same at all. Then for the finale our desserts. We ordered two mousses and a sticky date pudding. The mousses used to be amazing sweet and fluffy leaving you wanting more then tonight they were almost bitter and just overall weren’t enjoyable. The sticky date was clearly frozen being soggy with freezer burn again this used to be a family favourite. There was one waitress who didn’t seem all there. There was moments where she would completely ignore us and forget half our orders too. The second employee was amazing she was on the ball and helped us with everything. Then when paying for our meal our total came to over $200 when it only used to be $150-$160 honestly it’s just not value for money anymore

This used to be my favourite place to eat. Tonight I celebrated my 39th birthday there and ordered my usual go to, a mango margarita, only to be served something that tasted like condensed fake stuff, nothing like my usual real mango with lime margaritas. Thought maybe it was just a different staff member that had no idea how to make the good stuff so shrugged it off.. The whole vegan menu was different, I can no longer order a vegan Vera Cruz, so ordered a San Diego. it came out and it was disappointing to say the least. the old vegan meals had melted vegan cheese, vegan sour cream and tasted INCREDIBLE. I was basically served a tortilla with unmelted vegan cheese in it. it was a joke compared to how they used to be. my poor mother didn't even get her meal brought out and it had to be cooked while we ate because they "forgot" her. my daughter was excited because it was my birthday and previously when we had been there they brought out a sombrero and made it a lot of fun. when asked about this the employee said, "I don't know if they do that, I've only worked here a few months".. didnt even suggest going and looking into it. the same employee was the one who stuffed up my mums sangria order and didn't bother putting in her dinner order. it's a shambles there and it's an absolute shame that I can no longer enjoy the place it once was.

Absolutely delicious food and great service!! We came in this evening and a young 17yr girl was on by herself while it was quite busy (peak time) she was doing a great job may I add. She had a nasty customer give her trouble and was very rude, I could hear her from my table and they were a few tables away. No one deserves to be treated like that. She was doing the best she could while being alone.

Mixed feelings..one visit tasty food. Next visit I found the beef Taco so plain, no flavour or seasoning in beef. Pork Taco well below average meat. Flavour not good.Tough and actually not edible. Staff lovely
