Very friendly staff and the food is always wonderful. Had my birthday party here recently and they were marvelous!!!!cant recommend enough
We could not have been happier with the service we received! On Saturday night we had a function at Vancouver Street Cafe - Viv was so lovely and incredibly accommodating. The service was second to none and everyone had an amazing time. The food was of course delicious too! We can not thank them enough and could not recommend this venue more highly.
Roger has the best customer services skills. It is wonderful to have service with a smile
Friendly staff always have a smile on there face! Awesome customer service! Will definitely be coming back again
Top notch aesthetic. All the cakes are made on site, which is refreshing considering I find most other cafe's in town seem to source their selections from the same company. Also the staff are legends and give 110%.
10/10
100/100
Best coffee on the planet.
Great breakfast and great service from Renee......Will definitely be back
Lovely friendly staff, wonderful cooks, pies in winter and tarts in summer, lovely venue! It was a corner shop when I was growing up.
Delicious shakshuka (eggs in purgatory) and coffee.
Excellent service from Renee. Thanks!
We thought it was a cool place. Full of locals so that says it all.
Nice people, fresh food and pretty good coffee. This little cafe has been a popular spot with locals for a long time. Visitors won't be surprised.
The breakfast is good and also for a light lunch this little cafe is ideal.
It doesn't pretend or try to compete with the big-name places in Albany, preferring to go about using good ingredients and polite and happy service for the regular stream of customers.
Nice.
Fantastic Breakfast this morning for a group of 6 adults and 6 kids. We sat at the back that had a large table that we all just fit around. Breakfast is well priced and the coffee is excellent. There is plenty of seating in the cafe and some outside. We all had trailers from camping and found parking easily.
Good old fashioned service and great food, we will be back!
Great eggs - super creamy and can tell they are REAL free range. Enjoyed our breakfast here, it was busy but they didn't take too long. Nice home-y vibe will return if we're ever in Albany again.
Been several times. Open most of time which is great for Albany. Great on all levels, food, coffee, tea, ambience, seating etc and off main st
Every time we comr to Albany, we always come to this restaurant for its good food and family style atmosphere. The coffee here is fantastic.
Great location, great venue and great food. We went in several times for coffee and cake and the service was fantastic every time. The coffees were great as were the cakes. On one visit we had the savoury muffins and they were delicious. Our only disappointment was that we did not have time to return and have lunch here (someone ordered the breakfast burger on the next table and it looked amazing)
For lunch we stopped at a cute cottage café on the edge of town, Vancouver Street Café, which sits high on a hill overlooking King George Sound. They make a good cuppa, using Naked Beans, a local Albany coffee roast. On the lunch menu you’ll find fresh salads, wraps, toasted Turkish sandwiches, frittatas and savoury tarts as well as sweet treats.
Great coffee and selection of cakes. Had the home made friand and frangipan tart which were both delicious. Very friendly staff. Will come back.
Lovely cafe with interesting decor (many of which were for sale too). Good selection of cakes and we were spoilt for choices. In the end we picked two, can't remember what exactly they were now - both tasted amazing. Good coffee too.
Cute little rustic cafe in Albany which is decorated with mismatched chairs and quirky little trinkets. It has a cosy atmosphere about it. They serves the standard breakfast dishes at reasonable prices. There’s no frills with the menu items – just local produce cooked well. Portion sizes are quite big and the prices were decent. The cakes looked yummy but didn’t get a chance to try.
There was once a time when a trip down to Albany wasn't complete without breakfast at Vancouver; from its mismatched chairs and old couches out front to its flaking paint, Vancouver had a rustic charm that contrasted well with its subtly refined breakfast menu. It's a different place now, though: fresh paint, matching tables & chairs, and a cookie-cutter breakfast menu that lacks one key item - the clay pan breakfast!
I don't know why the clay pan breakfast was scratched off the menu, but so far I've found nothing else that comes close. I thought I may get lucky with the breakfast special which shared most of the same ingredients (okay that's stretching it a little), but its over-cooked egg yolks were just salt to the wound of not having received our coffees yet - in fact they wouldn't come out until after we'd finished eating, granted they were set down with the sincerest of apologies.
I wouldn't go so far as to say Vancouver's appeal was lost with its sale and renovation, but it's certainly no longer the diamond in the rough it once was, rather just a well-polished, ordinary stone.
Amazing breaky. Went there today for breakfast, could not fault the food. Made an excellent hot chocolate and coffee. Good friendly service
Lovely cafe. Went here for breakfast early in the morning. Great service and excellent food. Beautiful location off the tourist track.
Great food....slow service. I have been to the Vancouver a few times now and there food is great. However there was one peticular time for breakfast was not the best experience I had. First it was very hard to get a table there wasn't enough wait staff on it was a nightmare. We finally got a table but it took them a very long time to clear and wipe the table then to get our beverages they had forgotten about. When we finally got our food the man was apologetic and gave us a free scone! All I can say is go there very early or book ahead!!
Love the fresh food and atmosphere. No complains possible!!! If you can get a table!!! All in the timing of your arrival!
My fiancé and I had breakfast here a few days ago, the cafe is a nice and quaint place. It has a comfortable and nice feel about it, the service was kind and helpful. I had a bacon and egg on a Turkish roll which was very nice and not oily at all.
My favourite place for breakfast. Consistent, lovely atmosphere, friendly service and good vibes all around. Oh, and the Clay Pan breakfast is amazing!
Our favorite cafe in the area! Great wholesome food cooked with love, nice coffee, cute quirky layout with cosy private areas. You can't go wrong here, give it a shot.
Extremely good vegetarian lunch. Best we have had so far in WA (pizza and sand which) , they just need to serve with a steak knife as the bread is really hard to cut
THE cafe!. A great cafe just out of the main strip. Came here for breakfast on all three days of the Easter weekend. All three breakies were fantastic. The mega veg was enormous and all components delicious. The muesli was divine and, according to my partner, the eggs benedict the best ever. Coffee is good; had better, had worse but the food and the service is exceptional. Will be back when next in Albany.
Very friendly staff, casual environment and relaxing. great food. had egg benedict and cut half the eggs just runny. perfectly cooked eggs and great hollandaise source.
Excellent. I really enjoy eating breakfast out in Perth and the Clan Pan with poached eggs and venison sausage was the best thing I have had this year. Do yourself a favor and eat here.
Absolutely amazing. The best ever kids box meals. My risotto had massive prawns and was so delicious. Great food. Great location.
Very nice. I went to this little cafe, quite cool! Lovely out the front if the sun is out. Food was great, had a Thai chicken salad, one of the best I've ever had then I went there the next day for their vegetarian breakfast which was also very good. Coffee was great, up with only a couple of places I'd even consider for coffee in Albany.. Service a little slow, I think they should take orders at the tables, problem is I was on my own and by the time I ordered and got back to my table someone else had sat there, all sorted out no big deal but worth a mention. Other than that, get there, you'll be impressed.
Love, love.... Love it! For me, the half mega was the perfect portion size with all the good bits like a rosti to die for and soft poached egg. On other occasions we've enjoyed the clay pan breakfast and the bruschetta, both equally satisfying. It's now our number one choice for breakfast in Albany.
Nicie. Went there last year-nice fluffy buttermilk pancakes and good drinks. However the service was incredibly slow the second time we went and the pancakes were oddly rather different to the first time. Just have to assume that there was a different chef on. So points off for inconsistency, but overall its a nice place with friendly staff and good food.
This was for a Thursday lunch, busy but not crowded, found a table easily. Order some drinks (hot chocolate and a cafe latte) - both passed muster. The Sicillian apple cake was scrumptious. For meals, we had the salt and pepper squid with chips, brekky burger, grilled fish burger and smoked chicken toasted Turkish. Judging by the rate we demolished the food, we had no complaints.
Rustic cafe. Friendly staff. Had the lumberjack slice and Bakewell slice. The slices were warmed. Nicely moist and tasted good. Coffee was good as well. Kids had Belgian waffles with bacon and maple syrup. Good sized portions.
Fabulous service and a very good lunch. What more could you ask for?
Highly recommended.
Gorgeous little cosy spot up from the Vancouver Arts Centre . Popped in for coffee and cake . Delicious menu available and very friendly fast service ❤️
Beautiful hydro plants available for purchase from Driftwood treasures
Loved this hide away cafe. Loved that they did a half serve which was just perfect. It looked so good that I forgot to take a photo! I thoroughly enjoyed the vegetarian breakfast with mushrooms, spinach, tomato and a poached egg. Just scrumptious ☺️ Parking can be a little tricky for those that find walking inclines a little hard, but definitely worth it.
Enjoyed the food and ambience. Parking on street sides. Single but large toilet. Good food and hot drinks. A wood fire 🔥 for winter would be a bonus. Outside covered seating area is suitable for those with dogs.
Beautiful breakfast in a cosy spot with friendly and welcoming staff. Highly recommend the bruschetta!
What a fantastic place for breakfast and going on the reviews for lunch just as excellent!! Will make sure come back again as friendly and lovely service, food great and coffee excellent as well. What more could you ask for ??
