Review Hooked On Middleton Beach Fish & Chips - Albany

Very good fish. I really enjoyed that the menu has salad options which most fish and chip shops don't. The staff provided quality service. The ambience is not expected to be amazing but it was clean and not rowdy. My family enjoyed the fish burger while I ordered the healthy bowl with grilled fish. I feel maybe one more fillet of fish would have been nice but the meal was still very filling. The ingredients of the salad was better then some of the nearby wineries. The chips were generic compared to freshly made chips you can get such as the Elephant Cider company. Definitely better than Ocean and Paddock which is down the road.

Definitely one of the best fish and chips ever. Got 2 x pieces of fish (for both fish we bought). Chips were what I would expect in a top class restaurant. Staff were friendly with outstanding levels of customer service. Took our fish and chips to Middleton Beach and was just perfect. They deserve their awards.

Great ambient in the store, very nice decoration. The fish were cooked beautifully, but chips were just alright. Good portion, overall good value.

Excellent. Fish, chips and salad. Crumbed prawns wonderful Friendly efficient staff. Prices were very reasonable. A good selection of local wines and beers available at very reasonable prices.

Cheap and cheerful, bright venue with lots of space. Staff are friendly. Had the seafood basket but unfortunately the fish was imported, the other dishes were all local fish. There were some combos I would have liked separate parts from, like the octopus, but there didn't seem to be the option.

We had takeaway today after a recommendation from a local and seeing their good google reviews. the king george whiting was sold out so we got the nannygai. We also got tacos and the burger. everything was really nice except the fish. we got it plain grilled which comes floured which we didn’t know as it wasn’t advised, i’ve never had a fish grilled like this. it was inedible with no real grill which is disappointing for a $25 fish. Just need to keep in mind that grilled is not just as it suggests, it’s floured. We did reach out to the restaurant to say we had a bad experience and they apologised and said they’d been doing it this way for 20 years without complaint. Just something to keep in mind if ordering the grilled fish. I would not return or recommend.

Quick service and pleasant staff. It was one of the best fish burgers I've ever had and I'll definitely recommend this to anyone heading down to Albany.

Been here twice now in the past 6 months and absolutely cannot fault the service and also the food! Unfortunately we had to have take away this time due to covid but it didn’t change the freshness and flavour of all our meals- Spanish mackerel, squid rings and chips. Well done guys! Great meals 👍

Greasy fish batter that gave me horrid reflux until 2am. Chips were really dry even vinegar couldn't soften them� after all of the hype with the awards I expected much better. Sadly will not get any recommendations from us

Best service ive ever received in a fish and chip shop! The young guy behind the counter was so lovely and helpful! Cleanest take away shop ive ever been in. And good prices to! Such an asset for albany!

We were recommended this place by emu point holiday park. The fish was absolutely beautiful and the batter was so good 10/10 However the chips were pretty plain. I think maybe the cooking oil takes away the taste. I’m used to chips in uk the old fashioned way and tasty chips However It dosnt take away the fact it was very enjoyable though.

Such a great place, and the staff are so nice and lovely! I asked a couple of questions about their menu options and they answered so well, and I ended up buying what I had asked � Food was delicious, and would definitely come back again!!! Thanks guys � P.s playlist tonight was the best!!!!

The best fish I have had in a long time well worth a try have to suggest the bronzie and first place I have been able to find a banana fritter in a while �

Was told when visiting Albany we should try your fish and chips, we were staying just around the corner, well it was fabulous and I highly recommend a visit.

Was told about this place at Middleton beach caravan park, needless to say it was well worth the visit. Beautiful large serves of fresh seafood of many varieties. I haven't had Scallops in years and they were fantastic ( roe on and no stingray meat ) � Highly recommend �����

My husband and I taste test fish and chips all around the world, we were so impressed with the food (mostly) we both had the southwest flathead, it was the first time my husband (who is from Canada) had ever eaten it, it was beautifully cooked and presented. We will definitely recommend Hooked on to anyone who wants to listen. Thank you.

Great decor. Very busy when we were there and their service and attention to detail was very very good. Crispy batter and really hot chips when served !! Coronas were only $6. Winning !!! Loved the meal.

Seafood was fine, chips no so much (didn’t like having to order large $9 and small $6), generally overpriced but the service was quick and friendly - not recommended for a family who shares

We can't fault the food or the service. We really enjoyed the vibe of the place. One suggestion, is to add baby change facilities in the toilets. Keep up the awesome work :)

Decided on a family treat tonight. We tried Hooked for the first time we only wish we had came here before. You have just gained new customers. Thanks for a great casual family dinner.
