Review Emu Point Cafe - Albany

A decent sized serving of fresh good from these guys, along with service with a smile. Fantastic views from the cafe here. The food is basic but good, you won't regret it. It's nice to spend a bit of time walking along the water here too, it's very sheltered.

Great little eatery in such a wonderful spot. Only had coffee and ice cream so can’t comment on food. But Coffee and Ice Cream was great.

This is a perfect place to relax with a coffee and a piece of delicious cake. Staffs were friendly. I could not try food because the kitchen was closed. So beware this Cafe closes at 4 but the kitchen closes at 3. I will come back for chicken burger

Great location for this café, the staff are friendly and service is quick. I like the option of half a fish and chips, which was actually more than enough. A shame this cannot come with a glass of wine 😒 The menu isn't very big, which is probably good sign of home-made meals

This place has an amazing sea view. It is extremely tranquil and relaxing. I had some kind of a Lebanese breakfast (see the pictures included), which I enjoyed immensely.

Had an amazing breakfast, I had a big breakfast and my hubby had truffled mushrooms (the sausages on the pic are from the big breakfast), he felt it had too much rocket but the taste was really good. My coffee wasn't hot, but it wasn't bad. Overall we had a good time, would definitely come back.

Breakfast at emu point cafe was wow! The food, the view and customer service made the entire experience great. Will definitely be coming back. Highlights for me was the pancake and eggs with Turkish bread.

Went to get lunch but the kitchen was closed, so decided to get a takeaway already made croissant/sandwich from the glass display cabinet - 2 massive blowflies buzzing around in there. I'll pass thanks. The wife and her family were already eating, so they decided to share some of their tucker with me. Wife gave me some of her chips and salad, which I chowed down. Halfway through the salad I bit into what I thought was a very peppery radish. It started to taste a bit funky, but I kept on chewing for a bit, only to spit it out and discover that I had been munching on a bloody cockroach! Could only find half the abdomen as the other half was all mushed up from my chewing. Returned the plate and showed the staff my dilemma, and they didn't charge us for that plate and offered me a free drink and dessert from the cabinet. Picked a coffee and a slice of cake. Coffee came out but I kid you not, they forgot my cake. Would've given this 1 star, but the green curry mussels which the brother in law let me try was pretty decent. I check my salads every time I eat one now.

Lovely fish & chips..the staff were really attentive & friendly one of my favourite places to eat and enjoy the view..I always bring visitors to the cafe

Slow delivery. Milkshakes were McDonald's style, Average food. The menu was more exiting than the meal. Lucky they have a great view.... Basically a lunch bar.

When a mum arrives with 4 kids in tow and the waitress asks "would you like a coffee while you check out the menu?" you know they understand their customers �

Great breakfast, cilbir eggs dish one my all time favourite breakfast dishes anywhere, love your work. Coffee is good, but the change of beans is a little step down but they're still good. Been here 15+ times, favourite place for brekkie in Albany.

Went for breakfast was disappointed ordered just the sourdough toast pity it's just grilled on one side with oil maybe they should buy a toaster.

Paid $23.50 for their fish and chips, and initially weren't impressed with the size as we are fairly big eaters. <br/><br/>It ended up being amazing though! We asked for the fish grilled instead of battered, and it came with a side salad and tartare sauce as shown. The tartare was tangy, the salad was refreshing, and the fish and chips were well seasoned without being soggy.<br/><br/>Sharing it satisfied us both despite our earlier misgivings, and we would definitely recommend it to everyone!

I've been here a few times and the first time was average at best and the second time was fine except the extra avocado which was supplied as an extra with our breakfast(which we payed for!) was meager to say the least...<br/><br/>The tables were rickety so that doesnt provide a great first impression...<br/><br/>The breakfast required significant modification for a vegan/gf diet(which is fine im not deducting stars for that) but when extra avocado was added for $2, almost the cost of a whole avocado, it appeared the amount given was only a few teaspoons! Not nearly enough to give my toast a decent lathering.<br/><br/>The one redeeming quality was on both occasions the staff have been really lovely and very helpful.<br/><br/>Quite expensive for what you get, i suppose its the location but walking on the beach is free...just sayin'...

We arrived and ordered coffees only to be told that due to a burst pipe, the café had had their water cut. The staff were extremely apologetic and offered alternatives - we managed to get two chai lattes while the pump was still working - and the kitchen was still open.<br/><br/>Smashed avocado on turmeric toast was delicious! I'm not sure whether the orange wedge (instead of lemon or lime) was intentional or not, though. The dukkah gave it a nice crunch too. My partner's big breakfast was HUGE. He was happy with everything except the bacon, which he said was too salty.<br/><br/>Food good, staff great, so I reckon we'll be returning next time we're in Albany.

Fantastic views across Emu Point and a great atmosphere. Very friendly but professional staff and good coffee. The meals coming out looked great.

The building is decorated so nicely, and the views are absolutely beautiful. Came here for breakfast, & had the big breakfast to eat. Overall very tasty, nothing dazzling flavour wise though. This is definitely a worthwhile place to go due to the lovely atmosphere an array of food available.

This place is extremely popular especially on a Saturday morning.<br/>The staff were friendly but definitely did not have enough floor staff covering the area!<br/>Food and coffee was excellent I had the toasted muesli and a mocha.<br/>Good pricing as well 🤑

Beautiful location right in front emu point beach, very busy in the morning and afternoon. Food is okay and coffee is good,a bit pricey though. The view and ambiance was the big plus point.

It was recommended but it was far from worth recommending on. Huge price for not a lot of anything. Went for breakfast and all 6 of us not happy

Disappointing. Lovely outlook, nice tasting food. Serving sizes very inconsistent. Had the 'vego breakie' on recommendation and received only half of what I was expecting.... One thin slice of toast, pesto, avocado and egg, covered in a mountain of salad greens to make it look substantial....all for $20... Still hungry, waste of money, not impressed.

Whilst the food and coffee were great our breakfast was spoilt by the staff wanting to play the music at "rock concert" level - our first request to have it turned down had the volume lowered by 1 decibel but the next song raised the roof - this spoilt an otherwise lovely experience

Had a spicy chicken burger which came with a generous serving of fries, delicious and filling. Price was fair given the fantastic setting, free wifi is a bonus which makes this place a great hangout spot for an afternoon coffee.

Bad attitude. Although the food was ok , I found the manager to be not.<br/>His pumped up self importance and laziness was second to none that I have ever encountered. Well done Ryan you get the ponce of the year award, we will be taking our business down the road and will make sure all our friends know it.

Very disappointed to find it closed 40 minutes before the posted closing time!! Especially with swimming lessons in progress. This is not the first time and I will not be buying anything from them for the rest of the term!!

The amount of times I've come here and waited an hour for my meal, good food, nice staff, but not worth the wait.

Delicious!!. Great views, quick service and delicious food. We both had the salt and pepper squid - OMG so tender and good sized serves with a really fresh little side salad. I could happily eat this everytime I come here (which isn't nearly often enough as we live in Perth). The coffee here is really good too. In fact my iced coffee was one of the best I have ever had. Will definitely be back :)

Beautiful setting. I had the slow cooked beans and they were delicious. Will definitely visit again next time I am in Albany.

Public Holiday Surcharge on an Icecream. We have a holiday house at Emu Point and each time we come and stay we have breakfast here or get take away from the kiosk with little to complain about. We, however, went down this long weekend to find that the kiosk area was not open from the outside but that you could walk through to it from the cafe. All we wanted was to buy an icecream from the freezer at the kiosk for our little boy. I asked the staff member if I was able to just walk through and grab an icecream and she told me it was no worries and to pay for it at the cafe counter. When I reached the counter (in a long line of people) I was told that as it was a public holiday I had to have the surcharge added to the cost of the icecream! I understand surcharges and that its mainly to cover the cost of staff on a public holiday, it is a service type charge. We did not eat, order, be waited on by anyone in the cafe. I had to get the icecream myself, it was not prepared by anyone and there was no other option but to pay in the cafe as the kiosk was shut. It is also worth mentioning that the kiosk was shut the entire weekend while Emu Point was packed. To me it seems like they are trying to rip people off that just want an icecream or a bottle of coke by making them pay in the cafe and charging a surcharge. For a family friendly place I think this is ludicrous, a complete rip off, greedy and disrespectful to the public. I put the icecream back and told our little boy we would get one from the Rose Garden Caravan Park deli down the road, who I was sure would not charge me a public holiday surcharge on an icecream. You've lost our regular business.

New to town, we were recommend this cafe. It didn't disappoint. The veiw, coffee, food and service were all lovely. A wonderful place to watch the world go by, highly recommend.

Yum. Went to the cafe with my boyfriend and his aunt. The breakfast looked good, and tasted great, and the coffee was solid. The location was amazing and we saw dolphins passing in the estuary. Could not have asked for a more perfect breakfast.

Food is nice but service is extremely slow. Ordered three coffees and waited 15-20 mins for them to arrive at our table.

Beautiful Views Great Food. Just spent a week in beautiful Albany and this cosy little cafe on the waters edge with breathtaking views was an absolute delight!<br/>The coffee was superb...the food fresh and professionally presented....the views and ambience were second to none!<br/>Highly recommended....chicken soup for the traveller's soul....
