This is by far my favourite cafe in Albany. It's a magical oasis of vitality. I'm vegan, gluten free, and love real food. This is the only cafe I can walk into and order whatever I like off the menu, without having to worry about how it's made. Jodi and Andrew have done a fabulous job with this place. Of course, I'm a regular.
For anyone gluten-free, dairy free or paleo who enjoys a cuppa and cake then the alkaline cafe is the place for you. As you have a wide selection of cakes to chose from than only one or two at other cafes and for those who are dairy free alkaline’s house made nut milks are so good better than soy. I always really enjoy my Saturday morning tea time at the alkaline as the staff are really friendly and being paleo not limited for cake choices that’s why I am regular customer.
Alkaline is my favorite cafe...I have enjoyed everything I have eaten there and appreciate the wide choice of healthy, beautifully presented food. The staff are friendly helpful and happy.

Wow I feel like we just hit the jackpot finding this place!! If you're into clean eating, gluten free, diary free, wholefood, this is the place to be! So tasty and leaves you feeling great 🙌
I must commend the staff for their grace under pressure today while they were short staffed. My children think Alkaline has the best dairy free hot chocolates in town!

Delicious food and a lovely atmosphere. Nice little shop too. Yes, it's expensive and in small portions, but it is very wholesome, healthy food so priced accordingly.
My only disappointment is that they offer dairy milk with coffee which I don't understand since they say "everything is vegan". And apparently they charge $1 for non-dairy milk (see review before me)? It would be awesome if they were 100% free of animal products so that vegans can support this business without supporting animal exploitation.

Quirky café with gluten free and vegan food. The ambience is lovely! Enjoyed brunch at this café. The phish and chips were my favourite ❤️ Highly recommended 👍🏻

Love all the food, juice and smoothies 🥰. So refreshing and yummy. the best cafe to take a rest.
Great pancakes and hot drinks. So good that we came again the next day for the vegan Reuben sandwich and a muffin - which were also delightfully delectable.
The staff were also happy to change one of the smoothies for us on the fly while they were obviously quite busy.
We tried a few other vegan places in Albany and they were not great. Alkaline is doing a great service in catering to the plant based travellers and locals.
