Dined in last night and was treated like family from the outset.
Huge compliments to the chef, the food was fantastic and the eclectic vibe made the evening one to savour.

I actually can’t believe this place hasn’t been picked up by media yet. They leave the popular CBD Greek franchise restaurants for dust! This is real food, beautifully abundant, fresh out of the kitchen as if your own cranky Gran made it. Staff are attentive and genuinely want you to have a great time. Love it here.
Lamb shoulder was soo good. Service was 110%. Experience was that good I left a tip! Will go back for sure. Easy to get to, plenty of free parking, trams right out front and beach just across the road.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere. We had lovely Greek wine, and shared quite a few dishes between the four of us. The bill was reasonable for the amount of food and drinks, and all the food was delicious. Will be back!

One of the best meals I have had in ages. Every dish we had was excellent with generous servings. Both the owners were there to greet us and walk us through the menu. My girlfriend is vegan and they went out of their way to customise certain dishes. Will definitely be back!
I organised my wifes 50th birthday party at Venus & Co and put simply this place is extraordinary. The food was fantastic as was the service. All the dishes on the banquet where quality and fresh. A welcome change being it was not your traditional Greek restaurant menu. The staff were friendly and keen to assist. Thank you Nick and Steve for a memorable night. Had a wonderful Mother's Day dinner here recently. Everyone from my 1 yr old grandson to my 88 yr old mother had a wonderful night with attentive friendly staff. We had all the usual suspects but the standouts for me were a wonderful taramasalata and the goat kleftiko, which was to die for. My children raved about the chicken but I could go back for that goat every day of the week. I'd give them 5 stars if their desserts could only come close to what my mother used to make!
Had a lovely Friday dinner with a girlfriend recently at Venus in Albert Park. We opted for a bunch of small plates rather than the main share plates. The highlights for me were the zucchini flowers, haloumi and the taramasalata dip!
but warm and inviting venue, the vibe makes you feel like you're a million miles away, and the staff make you feel like you've instantly arrived home. . The Three Dips and Olives is a must as a starter dish. So too is the perfectly cooked Southern Calamari with squid ink ouzo fennel seed aioli (which looks a little creepy due to the colour and its tar consistency, but is oh so delicious!).
Pleasant dinner at Venus tonight. Cute rustic venue with a great traditional Greek menu. Between two we ordered the taramosolata, beef koupes, the calamari, the zucchini flowers and the halloumi. The halloumi and calamari were fantastic. The portion sizes were also very generous. The Greek rosè was delicious too- very dry.

Venus & Co is located right next to the beach in beautiful Albert Park, the Greek/Cypriot inspired interiors make the experience all the more authentic and the food tops off the whole experience for a great night out. We had the starter hummus (best I’ve ever had -and I’m a hummus lover), chefs special pork, a side salad and saganaki prawns. Everything was absolutely delicious and the service was fantastic, highly recommend if you’re after Greek/Cypriot cuisine that is inspired!

Having Cypriot roots and craving some of my favourite Cypriot dishes, I’ve been wanting try this restaurant for a little while. Previously, I have been disappointed with some Greek restaurants claiming Cypriot influence on their menus. Some missed the mark completely or the dishes were meddled with so much as to render them unrecognisable to anyone familiar with Cypriot cuisine. At Venus & Co the dishes I tried were pretty much true to their origin. The dishes were presented with some interesting garnishes that were not traditional but enhanced the appearance of food on the plate without interfering with the core flavours of the dish. Flavours were clean, fresh & subtly spiced. I chose one of my favourite Cypriot foods, Kouppes. These are a Cypriot kind of street food - you could say a middle eastern type of dim sim! Popular in Turkey, Lebanon, as well as Cyprus. A cracked wheat casing with a spiced meat filling. They were delicious and tasted as good as any I have had previously - both home-made and store-bought in Cyprus. Tick! The next dish was Sheftalies. Pork mince ‘sausages’ with herbs & spices wrapped in caul-fat then cooked over charcoal. Another Cypriot street food favourite. These were plump & juicy and not at all fatty. Served with chopped onion & parsley and a squeeze of lemon. Tick! With a selection of delicious dips and charcoal grilled flat bread of generous serves, it was impossible to try the desserts. The host Nicolas, who was friendly & hospitable, kindly proffered a complimentary couple of light pastries, home made by his mother, to have with my coffee. Delicious!
Overall a great experience. Great vibe, friendly attentive wait-staff. Slightly elevated cuisine but remaining true its roots. Will definitely return.
Here’s an amazing Greek restaurant in Victoria St taking classic Greek food to a whole new level. Absolutely loved the food, drinks and great service. I can’t wait to go back again.
Sensational, original and healthy food, a great new addition (our new favourite) to Albert Park eating. Great prices and very friendly staff. It's Cypriot food, great Mediterranean flavours.
Im always very hesitant to try new Greek places. At best going to a new Greek restaurant will remind you of some of the best Greek food you've ever had but there's every chance you left with plates of flavourless and tasteless meats and salads. Venus was a wonderful and exiting surprise. The classic Greek dishes were great. The Greek salad alone will make me go back. The calamari with squid ink mayo came together beautifully.
The place is new and the service is first class. The waiters are attentive and helpful when I asked for some help to navigate through the menu.
Great food, great vibes and professional staff at a moderate price point. Sheftalies were exceptional, calamari is best I’ve ever had!! Quality of beverages available is impressive, I will be back!
Was driving past with a mate and stopped by this new eatery. The service was on point, explaining the menu in detail. We had several entrees which blew my mind with the freshness, turn around time was good.
We tried a few of the different European wines which were lovely, for main we had a traditional salad which was like it was picked then and there. The meat dish we had was soft, and tasty.
Overall I would definitely go back, hats of to the chef and the floor staff for being so organized in a new business.

This is definitely the best dining experiences to be had in Melbourne with a modern take on Cypriot cuisine. By modern take, I don’t mean fancy flavours that take away from that taste Cypriots have grown to love, but a definite enhancer to the meals, that will appeal not only to our new generation of food critics but to the biggest critic of all...Pappou (Grandfather). Because we all know that Pappou only eats Yiayias (grandmas) cooking. I have been rambling on about Cypriots enjoying this. The truth is that it is a great restaurant for all as it offers such a great variety of amazing food cooked to perfection: Perfect Koupes, tender Octopus, Cypriot Sausage (Loukaniko), amazing zucchini flowers,
Kleftiko, and something you have to try to believe, the best tasting chicken liver ever. My wife hates liver and I seriously had to fight her for the last piece.
There was so much food on the menu that I want to try but couldn’t fit it all on the table, so the plan is that I will be going back to get through that menu and obviously reorder all my favourites.
I had a chat with the floor manager and part owner Nick, a great host and funny guy, who you can tell oozes experience in hospitality. He has told me that the chef and part owner Steve on Mondays, the only day that Venus & co is shut to the public, goes out to visit his suppliers to stay updated on the quality of goods coming in. That, to me, shows the heartfelt dedication to his work that you can taste in every bite.
Just to make things clear, I’m sure you are all asking the same question. No, I wasn’t paid to say this. I am just really excited that food like this has finally made it to Melbourne. Great work guys! You will be seeing me again.
Stumbled across this delightful restaurant walking down Vic Ave only to realize it had only opened a few days ago. Greeted by very friendly and knowledgable staff who recommended the 'feed me' option. We received an abundance of quality food with the white tarama dip, corn on the cob and calamari being the highlights.
Highly recommend for all locals!
