Congratulations Aurelio definitely coming for a just nice quality coffee my man
New to the Bridport Street strip in Albert Park this French bistro is a winner. Quaint and authentic the French cuisine stays true to superb French cooking. Champagne and oysters a perfect start to the meal although only negative was our drinks took ages to come out and we had finished the oysters before our champagne arrived . Although it was busy always a big oversight not to get drinks out to the table quickly especially before food arrives. The rest of the night was perfect though. Fillet steak was cooked to perfection and the king prawns beautiful. Not a cheap eat but the food lives up to its expectations.
Went to a function here and it was simply superb. Food was absolutely delicious and service first class. Beef tartare for entree was very well executed and delicious as were the scallops. The crispy pork belly was packed full of flavour with crispy crackling and my wife’s steak was perfectly cooked. Will be back!
Tempted to say Chez Bagou has the best food in Albert Park! We tried the pork belly, steak, fries, greens and sorbet dessert 👌🏼 service was friendly and food came out quickly. Not the most vibrant of atmospheres, but a great little restaurant to take some time out and enjoy a beautifully cooked meal.
What used to be a favourite Chinese in Albert Park is now a favourite French Bistro! I am generally someone who struggles to order and choose just the one thing off the menu but this was worse than usual, I wanted it all and it got worse as the beautiful plates flew out of the kitchen to their lucky tables, the pork, the steak, the snails!! Bring me it all!! Chez Bagou is a cosy, seductive little spot and with just the two guys looking after us the night we were there they were doing an epic job! Service was entertaining and super lovely, we weren’t in a rush and the food was steady out of the kitchen. The menu – foodgasmic!!
An excellent location for after work drinks and a snack. The service is superb (and extremely fast), the food and drinks likewise excellent. Chez Bagou is a wonderful slice of France on a sunny corner in Albert Park. Try the cocktails - they’re exceptional.
Overall it was a fantastic experience and a great way to end our evening in Melbourne. The service was immaculate and the food was delicious, I will be recommending this place to friends who visit Melbourne.
Certainly the best French bistro I've dined at. Great service, atmosphere, food, wine, and cocktails. Make sure that you try the Lillet Rose Martini.
We went there just passing 9.10pm. they still allowed us to come in and enjoy the mouth watering dessert we were after.
Couldn't enjoy dinner as we didn't plan for it. But surely will do next time.
Got the Cream brulee which was Amazing .. and one other. See my pics I didn't get the name. But it's soft cream really light, with valinna ice-cream layed on-top of chocolate layer and with eclair like biscuit. Wonderful experience.
The food was absolutely delicious and paired well with the fantastic service at the establishment. We really enjoyed our time there.
Great traditional French dishes, relaxed but professional atmosphere, steak tartare was amazing, generous portions, will be back
The most amazing dinner that I have had in a very long time! A delicious Menu, fantastic staff, just a gorgeous restaurant! I often don't eat everything off my plate but I did it at Chez Bagou. The hardest part was trying to decide what we all wanted! Guess that means we'll have to come back! All 4 of us could not stop talking about it! Thank you for bringing a little French to Melbourne! P.s. Enjoy your break :-)
