I absolutely love the Continental. The service is always perfect and friendly. The staff are so welcoming. The atmosphere and vibe is great. The coffee is good and the food is always consistent and delicious.
This cafe is so wonderful, the staff are all very friendly and the food is delicious! My personal favourite was the pumpkin smash which is a unique take on the standard smashed avocado. It was perfectly balanced and packed with flavour.
I ordered the quinoa porridge with blow torched bananas, blue berries and passionfruit! It was really nice definitely recommend it as a breakfast meal! And it looks physically appetising too! Overall my visit and service was great and would definitely come back

I was lucky enough to be invited to an evening of menu tasting and what a night it was. Some incredible dishes with a chef and owners who you can tell are passionate about what they do. The standout dishes for me were the porridge, the middle eastern smashed pumpkin on toast, the Nutella waffles, the polenta chips and the pork belly. Definitely a great spot to eat! It gets the 👍🏻 from me!
When I go out somewhere to eat the main things I look for are great service and of course delicious food. Well to say Continental delivered on both of these would be an understatement.
I was lucky enough to try an array of different dishes and every one was as fresh and tasty as the next. It did not disappoint and I could not recommend it more highly.
Stand out dishes - Sweet Corn and Goats Cheese Fritters, Belgium Waffles with Bacon and Banana, Okonomiyaki and the Grilled Pork Belly Bowl.

The food at Continental is super tasty and contains a lot of variety so everyone should be able to find something to tickle their tastebuds! The staff are really nice and more importantly, really want the customers to enjoy their food and drinks. Personal favorites were the smashed pumpkin on sourdough, the okonomiyaki, the bao (biggest I've seen in Melbourne!), the fish tacos and the strawberries and cream bowl but seriously everything is delicious and you can't really go wrong!

This was a serious feast and the quantity + portion sizes were massive and filling! The staff were so friendly and helped some indecisive piggies decide which dishes to get.🍴The Belgium Waffles were out of this world 😍 These waffles were so fluffy and different to the generic waffle stack. There will be a review on this so stay tuned.🍴The breaky bowl looked delicious and we had high hopes for it to look just as pretty as the waffles, however, we may have had too high expectations because breakfast bowls usually don’t look as good as sweet dishes. However, it was very tasty and all the elements were present and unique. There will also be a more in depth review on this dish so keep an eye out for it.🍴The smashed pumpkin was the best tasting dish out of all of these. This dish is the new smashed avo and a MUST when you visit. The pumpkin was so sweet and smoky and left an incredible aftertaste in the mouth, making you want to take another bite. The hummus and almond feta added a nice texture and spice to the dish which enhanced the overall quality of the meal. The kale chips were a nice addition to the dish and toned down the powering pumpkin flavours, which is good because you won’t get sick of eating the dish. The only negative about this dish is when you finish it and you don’t have anymore to eat 😭🍴The fritters were particularly fluffy and thick, unlike some places where they give you small portions that are mushy and unpleasant. The dish really showcased the texture and flavours of the sweet corn. The avocado salsa added a really nice kick of bitterness, which tied all the elements in the dish together. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with every dish chosen and the outstanding service.

The Continental has a great, varied menu - something for everyone. And the chef pulls off all the flavours of each cuisine. Incredibly reasonable for the quality of the food. Great new dinner menu and lots of favourites on the lunch menu. A real local gem.

The new street food menu with delicious fusion of Asian and Latin American flavours was a fantastic surprise tonight for our dinner!
The tasty miso style corns and the prawn buns are delicious and strongly recommend.
We are so looking forward to visit this place many more times.
We were on the search of interesting lunch menu and good coffee. Picked this cafe out of instinct, sat down and realised they use Code Black Coffee (my favorite!) and they have fish taco on the menu. The waitress was lovely. The coffee was superb (smooth and right temperature) I inhaled in under 5 mins. Fish taco was the right serving size and perfect flavor. Would come here again for weekend lunch.

We were invited to Continental to sample foods from their menu. It was a pleasure to taste a wide range of the menu from Breakfast, Lunch to Street Food (dinner) as well as dessert too 😋.
I enjoyed the belgian waffles they were dense but helped soak up the maple syrup. The caramelized banana and bacon were a great addition to the waffles. My favourite brekky dish was the corn fritters which had a great balance with the goats cheese. The quinoa oat porridge was presented beautifully with caramelized banana and passion fruit sauce however, I did find the porridge was quite bland.
The home made polenta chips were delicious with a generous amount of cheese topping and my favourite dish of the night was the Japanese pancake which was well balanced with the pickled ginger on top.
For street food (served Wed to Fri from 6pm) I tried the pork belly bao. The bao had a lovely smooth texture but was rather large and I felt that this did not provide enough balance with the amount of pork.
We finished the night off with coffees and two desserts banana fritter bowl with lemon caramel along with Strawberries and cream bowl with Vanilla ice cream which was really sweet but delicious and a great way to finish the night.

Continental is nested amongst some delicious & very popular cafes in Albert Park. The prices are reasonable & on par with others on the street, the staff are attentive & there is a lot of room indoors & tables outside. The decor is relaxed, wooden & airy. Coffee is delicious & service is quick.
Had a fabulous brunch on Sunday. Was served by a delightful young man and really enjoyed our food of eggs and great coffee. Will be back for sure.
My husband and I decided to check this place out after seeing some photos on Instagram - and I am glad we did!! They have just launched a new summer menu and it looks amazing! They use Code Black Coffee Roasters which I believe is one of the best coffees in Melbourne - so smooth and easy to drink - no bitterness - the baristas know what they are doing. The staff were very friendly & happy. The meals looked amazing and tasted the same!! I had the smoothie bowl, which had acia & blueberries, sliced banana, nuts, coconut. Hubby had the pork belly burger, which he said the pork just melted in your mouth. All in all, we will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu, grab a great coffee and chat with the wonderful staff!!
Really great little place to have coffee. If its a hot summers day in Melbourne, you have got to try the cold drip. It has a distinctively different taste to the usual cold drips I've had in the past but i absolutely love it. Haven't tried the food here, but my partner got a smoothie which wasn't worth the $7.
Not normally a Di Bella fan, but the team at continental have a way of working their magic to make a consistently good coffee.

I was recommended to come here by our close family friends and might I say, I'm glad we did! We ordered one chicken burger (also had a beef option), which was accompanied by homemade chips. These seemingly homemade chips were placed into a cute little Fishermans basket next to the plated burger. I'm all about the touches! Burger was huge but delightful! Also had the Italian bacon and eggs which my wife tells was also delicious. Service was fantastic! For a busy Saturday lunchtime, the staff seemed to be all over it. Bubbly, welcoming and efficient. Special credit to the young man with the glasses, we'd come back just for his phenomenal service! We'll be back!

Coffees are always great, but it is the addition of the complimentary biscotti that sweetens the deal!
Iced coffees are pretty poor as they come in little kiddy jars and seem overpriced for what you get.
Breakfast is not bad either, eggs are done to perfection wether it be poached scrambled or fried. The bacon on the other hand could do with a steak knife as it can be very tough almost jerky like.
The Bircher muesli is delicious and comes In a nifty jar. There is also often a good selection of sweets on offer earlier in the day.
Staff while great, can sometimes be less than attentive. It would be great to be greeted and seated as soon as you step in.
Overall a great cafe worthy of a visit.

Shakshuka. Had breakfast here and loved the shakshuka. Excellent with the eggplant in it.
That's better. Chilled atmosphere, friendly staff who know not to try to hard. Tasty tarts (the food, that is). Lovely coffee. Whole experience gives you that 'that's better' feeling. Long, high bench is great for people watching.
Mexican Baked Eggs - Sometimes Overcooked & Rubbery. Love the Mexican Baked Eggs here although unfortunately they are sometimes overdone to the point where the egg yolk is hard and rubbery. Apart from that, it is a great dish when cooked properly.

Great coffee and lovely staff. This is one of my favourite places for coffee in Melbourne. My latte has always been made perfectly, whether it's to sit in or takeaway, and the cold drip is delicious on a warm day.The food is consistently good, with great options, and is reasonably priced for the portion sizes. The Italian Bacon and Eggs and the Zuchinni and Pea Fritters are a firm favourite. On every visit, the staff have been attentive and friendly. Even when it's busy, they make time to smile and swap pleasantries. I am always happy to recommend this place and bring visiting 'out-of towners' for breakfast or lunch.
Favourite. I have been going to Continental for the last two years. I love the coffee and the food is always to a really high standard. The big breakfast is great. They seem to change the menu seasonally. The staff are consistently really nice and helpful. They have got a couple of new ones recently and even the newbies seem nice. Overall i definitely recommend Continental. I drive from South Yarra across to Continental all the time specifically to come here!

The first words that come to mind to describe the Continental are wowza wowza! I go here every week with my girlfriends for a catch up and we all love it. the food is amazing, I've had just about everything on the menu! the muffins and tea cakes are delicious. as soon as we walk in, we feel welcome and the staff are lovely.

The service was great. Very friendly and efficient. We were made to feel welcome snd in no way were we rushed. The food, while nice, was a little cold when served. The coffee was also not as great as other shops nearby. Overall 6.5/10

Always a favourite every weekend for brunch and washed down with a mango granita. Also super glad, they've got rid of the paper straws. Try their sandwiches and chocolate brownies, they are delicsh....
Continental is the place for the best coffee, and the menu is cleverly varied for different tastes accommodating food allergies and intolerances as well. The staff are excellent without being overwhelming and letting you enjoy your visit without always asking if everything is ok. Continental is always buzzing which is always a good sign and I have recommended this place to everyone I know.

Loved IT!. I almost walked past to my usual haunt in Albert Park, although the hussle and bussle of this place caught my eye.. It was heaving! Was greeted at the door by a friendly staff member and promptly seated. Coffee was amazing. It took the usual amount of time you would expect in a busy venue on a Sunday. Breakfast (Eggs Pancetta) AMAZING.. Really fresh and LOVED the bread. Again didn't take too long considering how busy this place was... Service was spot on, my server was really friendly and helpful. My one regret? I didnt walk in here earlier... Really looking forward to my next visit.
Great place, consistently good! You always get friendly service, and the staff are more than happy to accommodate kids. Perhaps not the most adventurous menu, but everything is tasty and fresh with no nasty surprises!

I've had lunch and brekky at Continental a few times and everything I have tried on the menu is amazing! Tried the lamb salad yesterday, to die for. Other favs are the wagyu beef burger and can't go past the eggs benedict for brekky. Coffee is fab too :)
Discovered the Contineltal whilst on our adventure to find a new breaky place and we are happy to say that the Continental delivered a fantastic breakfast!!! The vegetarian breakfast was a very substancial serving - enough for two people & lastly the ricotta hotcakes was absolutely devine!!! Definitely will be telling my friends about our experience & will be heading back very soon.

The sophisticated layout represents the consistently impressive coffee with the service being professional and polite. The highlight was the food. I've ordered the breakfast salad (proscuitto, cos, avo & basil, mint & a fresh bread wedge) and the wagyu Burger (cos, beetroot, gorgeous cheddar, caramelised onion & pickle relish) and both dishes have left me wanting more. So I did! I went last weekend (not in a suit and without customers) and the relaxed, professional atmosphere continued. I had a couple of coffee's obviously made with care and with coffee art demonstrating the barista's skills behind the machine and ordered the Chicken burger (lemongrass Chicken with Cucumber, spinach & mint) YUM! All in all, outstanding place to go!

Continental's food cabinets are filled with tasty looking sandwiches, rolls, and baked goods. There is a strong emphasis on coffee, and it's full of mum's with expensive prams. You may have read by gripe about The Petty Officer down the road, where a $16 sandwich makes my eyes water. Pleasingly here, the sandwiches are a more reasonable $10. We went and tried the new menu after seeing this Cafe on Instagram - the food was amazing, fresh, healthy and very filling!! Coffee was great - I had the latte and hubby had the long black - very smooth and easy to drink. No bitterness like some other places have. The staff were very friendly and inviting - such a pleasure to see people enjoying where they work! We will definitely be back!!
