Review The Proprietor - Albury

Lachlan Drummond
Busy little cafe in a nice part of Albury. Lots of seating available and friendly staff. Menu full of lots of choices reasonably priced. Coffee of good ilk (Padre) but the barista on the day didn't do the blend the justice it deserves. Perhaps the issue I think I had was the menu almost had too much on it which caused a bit of backup in the kitchen. Our food and coffee was able to be ordered promptly and delivered quite quickly, but we couldn't help but overhear three other tables with some type of timing complaint. The staff on were doing a great job and the cafe was heaving with only one or two tables free and a line of people waiting to collect their takeaways, so maybe I was just experiencing the peak Sunday brekky trade and there was a slight lag in the kitchen. I would go back as there were some other interesting things on the menu and it's fairly convenient to get to off the highway on the way through.

On our trip back from Melbourne we had our pleasant stop at Albury and in search of brunch and stumbled upon the Proprietor, they offered delicious infusions with varieties of sandwich to stews for a generous price. Would definitely return if we were to pass Albury for a bite before a trip.

Good variety menu, went there for breakfast, it was busy but we didn't have to wait long. Friendly staff . Tasty food

Stopped here from our drive from Sydney to Melbourne. Even though it was crowded food and coffee came out after a reasonable time. Coffee is great and food is also very nice.

Excellent cafe with superb coffee and food. We stayed across the road at the Quest for a few nights and visited the cafe several times as everything was consistent and reliable. The manager was the consummate host, and made us feel very welcome each time. This was greatly appreciated, particularly as we had our 18 month old with us each visit. Well done.

First time in Albury for my family and I this past weekend. It was just an overnight stay for work and we needed somewhere to go for a good breakfast. We found this place and it was better thank good it was in fact GREAT!!!!!! Much to my surprise they serve Padre coffee which is my very favourite. We hand the Benedict, Açai bowl, Banana waffles, kids waffles and the big breakfast (forgot the exact name). All were delicious and full of flavour. Service was great and the owner was super helpful to get us seated quickly on a busy and cold Sunday morning. Can’t wait to visit again.

Normally not too bad, very noisy inside. Last weekend we went and were told to just take a seat as it is table service. Sat there for a good 15 minutes with staff walking straight past us and casually talking to other customers so we got up and walked out. Not a good system to ask people to take a seat when there is that many people waiting as how do they know who sat down first! Meals are quite nice but they need to work on their service.

I had the Fish special & omg the flavour combinations were great! Salmon was cooked perfectly, nice and crispy outside, perfect inside & crispy skin. It was with brown rice cooked with all sorts of goodies, very interesting meal all round.
Lovely May
The only cafe in town that has matcha, but no Matcha Latte which is a harder prep from the top notch green tea. Will return when Matcha Latte is on the menu. The best cafe in town should have the increasingly trending drink!

My favorite in Albury! Great seasonal menu using local produce and inspired specials. Always busy, recommend booking a table! Cool funky staff, great vibe, some of the best coffee in Albury. Reasonable price too! Can't go past this place, haven't had a bad meal.

Very quick service even though it was busy. Food came out quickly as did the coffee which was amazing. The big breakfast was also amazing highly recommend this place great first time experience.

This was a great find in Albury, our Kate an Emma had brekkie there and they enjoyed the food an atmosphere My point here is that when these two lovely people find a place they have been to and say it's good you know it will be as they have described Good food an coffee service was good Loved it

The best latte, kids loved the homemade marshmallows and babycinos, friendly staff and spotless facility including the restrooms. Our favourite place in Albury.

a completely delicious, surprising and relaxing experience, for a lazy January Wednesday morn. The Proprietor delivered on all levels of breakfast loveliness - great coffee, perfectly prepared and delivered food (coconut tapioca with blueberries and mango for me, poached pear and berries with muesli for my friend and vegemite on crazy good toast for her son). Coffee was definitely the best I've had all year - worth a visit to Albury for The Proprietor experience - go!

The first place we seek out is The Proprietor when we arrive in Albury! The menu is continually added to and our meals are always outstanding

Had wonderful breakfast. . Would recommend it to anyone. Very very busy but did not have to wait long to be served.

Absolutely excellent coffee. Despite being extremely busy, quick attentive service. Tasty food. Well worth pulling off the highway for a recharge.
Suzanne Gordon
A great cafe friendly service and awesome food great coffee and cake too A fun place to meet up with old friends
Kim
Chai latte is nice, though more of a tea, as they don't froth the milk, it comes in a teapot.
Espresso not good.
Jackfruit fajita is delicious but either needs to be bigger or cheaper.
We had to wait quite a while for our drinks/order to be taken.
Would like to see more vegan options.
Linda
While travelling to Sydney... we stopped over here for brunch and were pleasantly surprised. Coffee was great! The milk was smooth and creamy. The food was generous in serving and enjoyable enough to quench a desire for quality food after a 3 hour drive from Melbourne that was not Maccas or KFC. They had all the classics available and able to please most.
Richard Mok
Great coffee, staff were very friendly and the food was a good portion. Ordered poached eggs on toast with haloumi and smoked salmon. Great way to start the morning.
Daniel Bamyani
Best coffee I ever had in Albury. My partner and I ordered the French toast and filled mushrooms. The portions were so generous. I absolutely loved my French toast as it was so refreshing and delicious. The mushroom dish was also tasty with a variety of grilled mushrooms. Good vibe and polite staff. Will definitely come back and recommend it 100 percent.

Excellent food and friendly approachable service. The staff, in particular the waitstaff, are I find friendly and hospitable and were able to cater for small modifications for dietary needs. The tea was nice, the steak sandwich was delicious and filling, and the bacon and egg full breakfast was generously portioned and made up of good quality ingredients. Basically, we had a good breakfast here and would recommend this place to anyone wanting a quality cafe to enjoy Sunday morning with food and friends, or even by oneself! I had a friendly conversation with one of the waitstaff who was from Sydney’s north shore originally, and I was impressed by his enthusiasm for the food, the town of Albury, and the establishment where he works. It appears even the staff are generous in spirit, as the food and drink is delicious and would stand up with the best of a capital city. A nice find - Recommended.
Francesca
Great coffee and friendly service. We had the taco and mushroom and garlic butter. Chai lattes. Outdid seating. Nice tucked away brunch in Albury.
Heidi
Stopped in Albury for a quick breakfast recently. Found this nice cafe only 5 minutes from the highway, friendly staff and a great menu. Garlic mushrooms were superb!

I can’t believe I have only just discovered this cafe for my road trips between Sydney and Melbourne. Delicious coffee (Padre beans), friendly service, great menu and a light and airy fit out! We ordered the orrechiette with smoked trout, pesto, capers, cauliflower purée and lemon and it was delicious. Not pretentious but packed with flavour. My son ordered the French toast. It tasted great but for a 14 year old growing boy, we did not feel one piece of toast was a complete serving. We will come back to try more goodies off the menu!

We stopped over in albury from Melbourne this long weekend. We were pleasantly surprised with how good the espressos were. The service was genuine and the staff were all really lovely. Top it off with really yummy food, my 5 yo and husband were all well fed and ready to hit the road again.

This charming little corner in Albury came highly recommended by not one, but three out of towners - all credentialled well past the avo-on-toast level of degustatory breakfasting. After a few false starts trying to find this heavenly breakfast franchise in Albury, I eventually stumbled into the sunshine and chair littered Proprietor.

Apart from a very nice fit out, I was surprised to see a representative mix of multi generational hipsters, enjoying the obligatory egg dishes, chia pudding variations and a a range of paleo/keto style food choices.

But I was there for one particular dish - recommended independently by my interstate foodie friends - the Proprietor Bacon and Egg sandwich, with cheese and bbq sauce. All had eaten this on separate occasions - and my friend from Melbourne more than once. As a fan of this simple but occasionally sublime dish, I went with high hopes.

I ordered a cappuccino on almond milk - so good, I had two - and waited for The Sandwich.

And this is where I realised - if your breakfast chef does not love and respect a B&E sarny as much as you do, it can only end in disappointment. And it did.

I called my friend in Sydney and told him about the Sandwich - he responded that the one he’d had was nothing like the one I’d been presented with (and he checked the photo I sent), and similarly, my friend in Melbourne. Her reaction was that there must have been someone different in the kitchen - no way was her heaven blessed memory of this recovery staple wrong. I just lucked out on potentially one of the best things to eat in Albury.

So, it’s a good menu, coffee’s good, cakes and decor very nice and even parking isn’t too hard - so I guess it’s worth a return visit to see if it was just a bad day for the Sandwich.
Quick stop here on the way to Melbourne and was looking for some delicious sustenance to keep us going. We got a nasi goreng and two sandwiches. The place was clearly busy which might be the reason the nasi tasted pre made and a little dry. The sandwiches were good, especially the corned beef! Disappointed to say that when asked if they had some take away cutlery for the take away meals, they said they didn't... seems strange.
Felicity
Great breakfast & coffee! Egg and bacon sandwich was amazing. Friendly staff. Nice find in Albury when passing through, will come back if in the area

Late morning on a sunny Saturday & the place is packed, which is not a surprise given its good ratings. Managed to squeeze into the bench seats along the window, behind a group of a dozen on a long communal table.

The waiters were really friendly and all the food looked amazing. Unfortunately my hunt for the best waffles is still continuing. The "banana and salted butterscotch waffles" ($15.50) were good, but something was missing. Perhaps another triangle half of a waffle would have moved this dish up into the realms of amazing, especially given the generous volume of butterscotch sauce.

The home made honeycomb had been taken right to the edge so the sweetness was tinged with a yummy bitter note, helping to tone down the dish. The vanilla ice-cream is locally made & it was nice to see the speckle of vanilla beans through.

There were so many other good sounding dishes that if I return, I wouldn't order the waffles again. A nearby order of the "grilled haloumi and dukkah eggs" looked particularly attractive!

Saw a number of people leaving with takeaway coffees, so the coffee (Padre, Brunswick) must be good. Takeaway small $3.70, large $4.70.

This local Albury cafe offers a specialty esque menu to its residents and hungry travellers from the Hume.

Coffee ordered:
Flat white and long black. Using Padre coffee from Melbourne, which is a great start, but could have been done a bit more justice. My long black was ok, a bit under extracted, if I'm being critical. Still went down nicely as it cooled. The flat white tasted balanced, the art was absent and the milk a bit frothy. Overall still one of the better coffees you can get out here.

Food ordered:
Kale and pea smash + bacon, haloumi and eggs + chorizo. The haloumi and eggs is a no brainer, an easy dish to whip up and ingredients you can't fault. I was pleasantly surprised at the value and flavour combo of the kale and peas. It was served with fresh roti and the bacon is great add if your a carnivore. I did question the gratings of cheese on top... seemed to clash with the more spice flavours of the dish. But really enjoyed it overall.

Ambience:
Things move a bit slower out here but that said everyone is very friendly. The food took some time to arrive but no complaints from us. I can imagine lots of melbournians pass through and give a bad rating for this place purely out of snobbery, but this is not melbourne and deserves some grace for trying something unique for being so seperate from the big city.

I pass through Albury often on road trips to Sydney. I'll be sure to stop in again for coffee and a meal.

Firstly I have to commend this place trying to provide a modern cafe experience in Albury. Other than that it wasn't a good experience. Perhaps I was so disappointed because this cafe receives such high ratings. I ordered a cold brew coffee and it tasted like it had been sitting around a couple of days too long. The pork belly eggs had thin bits of dry reheated pork with chewy crackling. The pulled pork brioche was underwhelming and tasted unbalanced without any real flavour. Sadly I left disappointed and do not recommend it

OMG! What a cafe....what a coffee...what an ambience....Visiting from Melbourne we didn't expect such a cafe in a country town. Boy were we wrong! As soon as we entered it was like we were back in Melbourne. Beautiful ambience, hipsters running around, moustache requiring a trim, this place had it all!

The coffees were the best we had in recent memory. I had an omelette while my wife had the duka eggs. Delicious. Need I say more? Presented neatly and cooked to perfection, it was like we died and went to heaven.

I can't commend this place enough for their food, coffee, location, service, ambience etc etc etc.

Well done on creating a vibrant atmosphere...just what Albury needed and a real gem in the middle of 'nowhere'!

Best breakfast i have had in a long time - coming from a Melbourne boy!
Must try the local halomi - it's unreal!!!
I'll be here again on my next business trip.

What an amazing find as we made our way through Albury. Exemplary service by Danny Made us feel very comfortable and nothing was too much trouble. The food/ coffee was amazing. Highly recommend

Came to the proprietor for the first time today as I'd heard great things about it and wanted to see what all the hype was about. Service was great and the coffee was fantastic ordered lunch and was just a bit surprised at the time it took to produce two sandwiches. It won't stop me from going back as it had a great menu and that coffee was killer. Hopefully whatever the issue was today gets sorted and I'll be back to try it again soon.

Delicious!
Waygu schnitzel sandwich with creamed spinach and pickled red cabbage was divine. The snapper from the specials board was pan fried to perfection with a warm potato salad and flavoursome tartare sauce. Excellent service. Nice atmosphere.

Awesome food! Great service too! My 3 year old accidentally dropped his marshmallow and the sweet waitress gave him 2 more :) the waffles, pork belly and barramundi were sooooo good! Especially the barramundi... We ordered another cos we couldn't get enough of it!

Delicious breakfast & such a quaint adorable cafe! Loved it so much! We went back for our next breakfast and definitely will be back next time I visit Albury!

Wow!!
I must admit I wasn't expecting much from a cafe at a recent stop over in Albury but boy was I wrong this cafe ticks all the boxes.
Great service, plenty of space and pram parking with baby change facilities along with most importantly fantastic food. The menu has something from everyone with a large selection.
The mushrooms on toast I opted for with a side of haloumi and who knew that would deliver so much flavour but I would have to say probably the best I have had. Coffee was perfect also great flavour and temperature.
Well done I can't wait to visit again if only I wasn't 4 hrs away!

Delish spot in Albury for breakfast/lunch - got big city vibes in a laid back local setting. Great flavour combos that appeal to everyone and a great variety of sweet and savoury brunch options. Staff and service prompt and decor fresh, clean and relaxing. Well worth a stop while staying in Albury or passing through.
Out And About
Wow, talk about meeting high expectations! The Proprietor made us Brunswickians feel right at home. We enjoyed a brilliant Halloumi, Hummus, sourdough, Dukkah and a fresh lemon on she side. Yes, both my wife and I had the same thing.
It's almost like that too-good-to-be-true picture perfect couple... How can this all be so right?

They're serving Padre roasted coffee ✅ using a ridiculous Slayer coffee machine (because it's so beautiful and expensive) ✅ have an amazing menu (creative and beautiful) ✅ and have really attractive and attentive staff ✅ (you know who you are).
Bravo guys, keep up the good work 👏👏
Rebekah Alcock
Wow. From the reviews I thought this place would be at least half decent, but if you can't make the food taste good, the presentation counts for nothing. I tried their coffee spritzer too -yuck!
Alex
Fantastic place to stop in on the NSW-VIC road trip. Amazing coffee and delicious food, friendly staff, lovely interior and quick service A+
Julie
Lovely feel about the place. Food is adventurous for a country area, have had beautiful meals here. ) PLEASE fix the door, the continued slamming was very off-putting. Otherwise well done!
Jessamy
Consistently good coffee, and a great atmosphere. It did get rather busy at lunchtime, and it took me about 20 minutes to get the attention of the waiter to order some lunch after my coffee. However, food was great - good poached eggs, and a generous amount of avocado on the side! Will definitely be back :)

The Proprietor can be a real yo-yo in that there's a lot to love / that keeps you coming back; then you can have a very ordinary meal / coffee / experience that deflates! I love the open kitchen, long central common table & outdoor seating, but it can be crazy noisy with youngster let loose. Food wise, over this week we've had some great meals including the field mushrooms (poached eggs added) & warm lamb salad. However, yesterday for a quick late lunch, our pulled pork roll was very disappointing (bun soggy with excessive water leaking from the pork). Some days their coffee is excellent, other days bitter, so quality dependent on barista. This cafe is far better than average, with some creative menu items rare for the border ... it's just a shame about their lack of constancy
Mary Graham
Tasty food, good coffee. Limited menu and coffee in one size only (no mugs). Pretty noisy inside, and squashy so not ideal for pram pushers or little ones. Not great for ambiance and street dining right on the road with lots of traffic, otherwise good.
Bart Furst
Thee best coffee in town and fresh local ingredients for breakfast
Do and will continue to go weekly
The staff are super keen to help and will never leave you waiting

Amazing breakfast in Albury....better than most cafes in SYDNEY!! Had the eggs from hell...nice and spicy!! If you're passing through Albury this is the place to start your day!!
Martin C
Dropped in for a quick lunch. Great Wagyu schnitzel sour dough sandwich with cabbage and mayo. It was prime lunch time and the place was very busy so the order did take a little time to arrive but otherwise great little cafe.
Alice Hatter
The missing link. Haven't been to Albury for awhile but The Proprietor is just what was missing! Fabulous meals, tea, staff, and an eclectically gorgeous clientele. Wonderful to see what inspired food and drink can bring together on the border.
Food Nazi
Great spot, disappointed Salmon/beetroot breakie had tinned beetroot!

Mushroom toastie - wow! Cof.... Mushroom toastie - wow!
Coffee great too

This meal was utterly disheartening. I arranged a Sunday morning breakfast for myself and two friends having heard great feedback. The coffee was not redeemable. Despite the barista's efforts. We tried then for iced chocolates which resulted in powdery milk poured over defrosted store brand quality ice cream. Poached eggs came out entirely overdone. Housemade hollandaise was strangely reminiscent of my Nanna's lemon butter. Braised beans were screaming out for some attention in the form of herbs, spice, salt??? Anything???
A thick slab of sponge cake had drenched itself in maple syrup and presented itself on my partners plate making desperate but comical attempts at being a pancake .

I would recommend this cafe to anyone craving a piece of sourdough with a helping of Persian fetta and a glass of orange juice as these were the few pleasant aspects of our meals.

UPDATE

Gave this place a second chance . Shouldn't have.

Staff are appallingly incompetent. Got orders wrong.
Not to mention it was hard to say who was actually meant to be waiting tables as they just wear hoodies and yoga pants.

Ice chocolates are the same. Barely drinkable.

They were all out of French toast.

Chai latte has zero flavour

What a joke . How does this place rate so highly?!
Alexandra Paraskevakis
Delicious, filling brunch with the girls!. We enjoyed a beautiful brunch here today. Coffees arrived hot and as ordered (although beans were ever-so-slightly burnt in the roasting, still a decent cup), food orders taken and food delivered promptly, especially impressive as the cafe was jam-packed and we were lucky to snag the last table in the shade outside. I enjoyed the corn beef toastie with beautiful house-made pickled vegetables on the side, twie baked french toast with bacon and pancakes were devoured by my friends. Note the french toast dish is only 1 piece, but it is a generous size nonetheless.

I will be back here with my husband on another lazy Sunday to enjoy a few other dishes I've got my eye on!

Recommend!. Beautiful bircher muesli and beautiful coffee - highly recommend this place. Prompt and friendly service too.

The go to place. Its great to see a trendy place that has a menu that is fresh , local and outside of the standard breakfast menu that we all see too often at cafes in albury wodonga. An ever changing menu that caters for all tastes & dietry needs.

Staff are always lovely and atmosphere is great. This is as good as any of the top cafes at home in Melbourne.
Keep it up guys
Trying New Things
Wow...this place is amazing and I'm a fussy Sydneysider :) I had the asparagus, Jamon and egg brekkie and honestly: I felt like clapping at the end. They got the chai close to perfect (brewed with fresh leaves in the pot etc but still they added honey even when I asked for it on the side...)...the brownie was very good (a bit fluffy but moist)...but the eggs! The eggs! Would drop into Albury just for this place :) x

Pretty good. Great service and decor. Coffee was pretty good but the pancakes that I had were a bit disappointing

Finally there is a place in Albury with exceptional food combinations and absolutely great quality of produce
Discovered only by chance , I love it and going back this morning for breakfast
Emma Razeng
Impressed. Stopped in here for lunch on a road trip by recommendation from a friend. Definitely worth the stop! Had the lamb and asparagus salad, which was the best salad I've had in a long time! I am a regular Melbourne cafe goer, so I'm difficult to impress, but this was excellent. Coffee good too, but they forgot 2 separate coffee orders for our table. Staff were very gracious about it though and gave us one on the house.

Favorite place in Albury. Breakfast and lunch, no other place compares :)

Best coffee in town too!

Just delightful. We stopped off in Albury on the way to Canberra from Melbourne. The Proprietor hit the spot with delicious food and warm and friendly service.

Fresh and simple ingredients make for a decadent yet affordable meal at breakfast or lunch, with scrumptious sweets baked on site. Great coffee and a nice tea selection coupled with a laid back and trendy atmosphere in rustic hardwood tables and white polished tiles sets The Proprietor apart. I will definitely return here.

Amazing Place. I have eaten at The Proprietor many times now and have never been disappointed. The menu is constantly changing, adding in a new dish here and there to keep things new and fresh, and there are also plenty of options for gluten frees and vegetarians. They use local produce which is so delicious, and their chai latte is the best I've ever had. Ambience and decor is great, and the staff are always friendly :) LOVE The Proprietor!
Jess Vego Foodie
Food is always lovely and innovative! No standard breakfasts here! They usually have 1 or 2 vego options which is great, and really seem to focus on local produce! I also enjoy their chai!

Clever Comfort Food. Foodies moving to Albury from Sydney can relax - like a previous reviewer, since I found this cafe I eat nowhere else. There is an updating menu - a new dish every week, and even that will be tweaked to fit with eaters' feedback - the parsnip and parmesan soup just dropped the chilli garnish in favour of roasted sesame seeds, sesame oil and parsley - a sensational combination!

Their home-made sourdough bread is so moreish that it gets wrapped up and taken home - and the gluten free is equally delicious. Mains feature local organic produce - the small goods are super flavourful - and their lemon meringue tart, brownies and rocky road are yum yum yum - but the best thing on the menu has to be the home-made marshmallow. My taste testing of various sydney equivalents reveal this to be a culinary test - super difficult to manage the texture, flavour and granularity - yet The Proprietor's is always perfect!

Thankyou for making us feel so at home in Albury.
Belinda
Pork belly sanga was a little bit dry but still extremely delicious!!

Perhaps a sideways pointing thumb would be appropriate. Great addition to the Albury eatery scene. Good location. A little cramped inside. Funky moderne decor. Bouquets for providing coffee for free after a forty five minute wait for a breakfast baguette. Brickbats for the coffee which is not yet at Melbourne quality nor should be provided in paper cups for eat-in customers. The food is above average but also slightly over-priced. Too many wait-persons and not enough chefs, therefore the service is magnificent but the food is untenably slooow.
Coffeeholic
This gorgeous little cafe just keeps knocking the competition in our little hometown out of the park. From the heavenly coffee to the quirky decor, the freshly baked bread to melt in your mouth homemade brownies - we can't get enough. These guys may be new to the game, but their fresh approach serving up the best quality local produce keeps us coming back for more. Highly recommend a visit.

Customer Service: Below Average
No greetings, no smiles, waitress had a look that you were not welcomed. Did not direct us to a table, simply pointed to a table with 3 chairs for a table of 4.
Ordering wise waitress was in a hurry to get away, take the food orders and left and I had to slip in my coffee order while she was walking away. Basically no experience which I can forgive or just plain rude

Food:
I had bacon and eggs with the lot, it came served up like a sea of brown, bacon haloumi chorizo and a tiny serve of scrambled eggs with a whole tomato. So much saltiness with so little eggs to counter it.
Food was average, tasted the same as any out of fashion Melbourne Cafés. Nothing bad but nothing outstanding
Coffee: Padre beans
No idea which blend they use but they use the Padre blend. However coffee tasted weak and lacked the signature padre chocolate notes in their coffee. I hope they rectify this because Padre is my favourite blend and would hate people to think that it's an awful blend

I hope they amp their game up soon because it is a good thing to have for albury but not get too ahead of yourself and think it's the best

The Proprietor....What an wonderful delight!! We devoured and were incredibly satisfied with our delicious French toast, pancake with snap frozen berries and maple syrup and to top it off the leek and prosciutto omelette!!!!! Coffee to die for, made with passion and precision by the owner herself, who's ever watchful eye ensured every patron was served promptly! We couldn't fault a thing....everything was 10/10....including the choice of toilet paper and business cards!!! Hats off to the chefs, thank you, and the fabulous staff who truly hit every mark and didn't miss a beat! You guys all deserve this review, we hardly write them but this was a given from the moment we stepped in the door. Congratulations and good luck!!!!

Visited Propieter for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and it did not disappoint. Great service, amazing hot chocolate (with a home made marshmallow!!) and amazing food. I highly recommend - exactly what Albury has been lacking for so long!
Tracy
Best food in town. The food is always fresh and the menu choices are really varied, it has something for everyone. I love being about to pick a new dish every week and it seriously does not disappoint. Great atmosphere and the staff are always friendly and meal service is very quick.

Wow!! Fantastic edge of town space, genuine friendly enthusiastic & inviting staff with a superb, well designed menu with some very up beat opions, pork belly toasty & corned beef & cheese toasty were well structured with perfectly complimented fillings of top notch quality......coffee was absolutely terrific! Ordered a short Mach, for once....it was done short..... How I like them, not long and over extracted, like too many others..... We walked for about 30 mins to find this cafe after yet another local cafe called green zebra had spoken very highly of proprietor, which was nice to hear of another cafe sharing there thoughts and passions for another of albury's cafe scene....not that we are in albury often but we will be back & will be forever praising this diamond in the rough!! Thankyou to all for a lovely experience.....

Delicious food, underpriced :) and currently the best coffee in town

The Proprietor of AMAZINGNESS. Since opening day (which I attended twice............ for breakfast and Lunch) I am yet to eat anywhere else in Albury for breakfast or lunch so that is saying something! The fresh, local and home grown/made produce is of the highest quality and always delivered promptly and together no matter how big of a group we have.
Watching chef make fresh baked bread and cakes (lemon & lime tart is my fav) while I sip on my tea keeps me occupied as does the daily papers and beautiful little touches........fresh picked daisies's and amazing service.
The Whyma lamb has to be my favourite local producer and to sit eating my breakfast and watch it be delivered through the door right in front of me assures me I know where it is coming from.
And as far as acoustics, the sizzling of pans and flames, clanging of cups on saucers, happy diners, steaming milk, communal dining morning conversation and a Hello Katie is exactly what I need every Saturday!
It is very busy and at times you may have to come back in 5, but you can book a table in advance and the best is yet to come........WINE!

As always the new kids in town are flat out. If they keep up the quality front of house service and fast kitchen turn around I'm sure they will remain a fave. Would like to see some more lunch options ! Decor is great. Acoustics are not.
Misty
Great Breakfast. Group of 6 turned up for breakfast and were asked if we had booked! Lucky there was a table outside. Great service and great food. The coffees were good, but the pick was the chai latte. One of our group was pleasantly surprised by the number of gluten free options. She really enjoyed the rice porridge with orange blossom and vanilla. We also tried the walnut and chilli omelette, the rhubarb and ricotta on fruit bread, the pancake and bacon and eggs with the works! All the food arrived together and was delicious. We thought there was plenty of choice and the service was excellent despite them being full! Happy to note they do have eftpos facilities now! Would definitely go there again.

Can't say much about the food as we didn't get order any, I'm sure it would be great as Nathan was always bang on at Green Zebra. As expected the place was busy being the new kid on the block, the staff were inviting but this is where the good experience ended, they do not have Eftpos, so we left to take some cash out. When we returned we we're informed that any "empty" tables were reserved, something that would have been helpful to know BEFORE we walked to get money. Next the clever waitress suggested my wife and I could wait outside in 5 degree weather with our 1 year old son until a table becomes "available." First impressions last.

Simple and yummy. I agree with Dim Sim, the menu was short and sweet but had enough to cater for most tastes. Coffee was great and service was quick and cheery. No eftpos yet so take cash.

Albury needs more cafes like this. Loved the look of it, all the small little decorations were great. Menu was small, but you don't need a big menu if u have good basics + couple good specials.

I was overjoyed at the thought of a new eatery in Albury. Even more excited looking at the renovation and fit out.
Very sadly I have been somewhat disappointed. The menu is 80% breakfast based with only 3-4 lunch options.
The food that we had from the limited
menu was fine, nothing special.
It has a great location, a unique fit out and lots of staff. I'm hoping they might give us something to want to go back for. This sounds harsh but you have the perfect opportunity as Albury is so lacking decent places to eat.
My other hope was that you'd serve dinner. Am hoping your menu might become more diverse?!
