Review The Bended Elbow - Albury

Tony Roberts
Date/time of visit: 20 May 2022 @ 8:50pm (approx) We stepped here after a 3.5 hour drive from Canberra, with another 3.5 hours to go returning to Melbourne. We had eaten at The Bended Elbow on several occasions over the years and was always satisfied with the meals. This visit was no different: the porterhouse steak was cooked well, with great char. The chips weren't super crispy but were still very good. The salad that was served with the steak was refreshing with a flavourful dressing. The Thai beef salad had amazing flavour - this was great. Venue wasn't busy at this hour and we had arrived just as the live music was finishing up. I've always experienced The Bended Elbow as a great rest stop travelling ti/from Canberra. It shoukd also be experienced as venue when visiting Albury or living in Albury.

The venue was lovely and the staff were very friendly. Unfortunately not enough high chairs to accomodate our son which made things a little tricky, but otherwise the food was good and your typical pub food. A broad and varied menu too and reasonably priced.

Amazing customer service 👏 💯 Sat in the roof top was superb . The laneway looks like a nice place to sit too with live 🎶 music Compliments to the staff tonight as I dropped money and it was returned by the barman. Meal was 😊 delightfully 😋 delicious

A bit busy, but most people were wearing masks. Food was delicious. A bit bummed they were out of the pork belly, but the burger was great. Mocktails were delightful, and highly recommended.

Had the most revolting lunch, undercooked roast vege salad (only crunchy potatoes & sweet potato or maybe carrot ) on a handful of raw baby spinach drizzled with tasteless pesto. The pasta dish wasn’t much better, cost over $50 for lunch and no one there could care less. Never again.

Food was amazing, staff were friendly and attentive. Great atmosphere and ambiance, sitting at the front of the restaurant in front of the gas fire place. We had the pork belly and the surf and turf and both meals were perfect in every way. Highly recommend.

Just had the most amazing meal Tuesday night steak special Cooked to perfection -medium- chips that were crunchy and tasty mixed garden salad..... The bistro is cosy and the staff are super friendly Last but not least, 5 main meals, soft drinks and best red wine for under $150 is worth going out for !

The food was great, good service. The worst part was there was a very loud drunken sounding group who drained the place in noise and staff did nothing. Wonder if your place has a responsible service of alcohol or maybe your staff needs to re certify

Thanks for the garlic and onion free menu guys. It’s hard eating out with allergies other than gluten, people just don’t get it! Steph in the upstairs beer garden definitely did and was super helpful. It was the first meal I’ve eaten out in ages and not worried I’d end up sick!

This is a great place and the prices are very reasonable. We have the fish and chips for $15 and a pot of beer was only $5. The fish were tasty, the fries crispy and the dressing on the side salad very delicious.

The meal was excellent. Had the pork belly and would have had a second helping but it filled me up. Well done. Great service and friendly staff. Can't wait to come back.

I’ve been here several times and the service has always been quick and very friendly. Inside or sidewalk dining options although if you’re not keen on cigarette smoke the latter does include a smoking section. Decor is great. A la British ale house. Food I’ve had has always been great. Clean facilities. AND a $4 schooner during happy hour between 4-6.

Food was absolutely amazing I had the Chicken and Prawn parcel and the rest of the food on the platter I could not fault! Delicious!

Great pub, very welcoming for a single diner. Tasty steaks however my rib eye was overdone, more medium well than medium rare I ordered but it was so flavorful I didn’t mind

Great meals upstairs and great bar staff, however when we went down stairs there was karaoke and they were rude, smart ass pricks. Apart from that it was great
