Review Azotea - Albury

Obama Care
I have been to the Albion hotel several times now. They have a bottom floor bar, function room and a fantastic rooftop bar (I believe there is more but I will have to check further). It doubles up as an excellent restaurant and place to have a few drinks. I was very happy with the slow cooked pork and look forward to trying more menu options such as the Murray cod. It also has a pool table and karaoke nights downstairs which are great fun. I'm keen to come by again

Great steak with greens & chips. Very happy with the way it was cooked - got exactly what I ordered with very decent serving of veggies & chips. Great service and drinks. Thanx Claudia.

Absolutely amazing food, big portion sizes, delicious gravy. Porterhouse was cooked exactly as asked. Staff were especially friendly and outgoing. (Didn’t get their names but we’re working lunch today 4/5/22) 10/10 will definitely be returning 🙂

2 of our 4 meals were cold and not completely what we ordered. They were sent back. Both returned, but one of the schnitzels wasn't cooked through again. Well done to the waitresses they had great customer service and were so apologetic and couldn't do enough for us. Refund given for one of the meals.

Amazing location up above the roof tops. Excellent food options too. GF alternatives. Definitely recommended.

Mardi Gras parade night was fantastic - thanks for hosting us! It was great to see the staff in costume on the night as well.

Great food at the rooftop bar. Considering how busy it was, the food came out in a reasonable time and tasted great. Disappointing that it came out a little cold but the staff where awesome in sorting us out. Will be good to come back on a quieter night.

Food was all excellent however we ordered 6 separate meals all at the same time and they all came at different times. The first meal arrived 45 minutes before the last, meaning everyone had to eat separately. I really hate this QR code ordering thing because the kitchens never seem to be able to group your orders. It was also really loud, and as the servers had no uniform you couldn’t pick them from the average diner heading to the bathroom. The alcohol was also super expensive, $11 for your spirits.

Hands down one of the best places in town, not only could you go there to start a night out on the town, but you could also go for a romantic or social dinner ! So good and all bartender and employees are so helpful

Spent a lunchtime meal here. Service wait was a little long. Unfortunately one order for a member of our party was incorrect but this was remedied without an inordinate delay. A sparrow under the table beside us who decided to poop added some lunchtime theatre and flew out leaving a little lighter. I would say "average pub grub".

REVIEW FOR AZOTEA!!!(upstairs from the Albion)<br/><br/>My absolute favourite place to dine in Albury. The Manager Alex I can guarantee will make you feel like a celebrity the moment you step foot in the door. Lovely view of Albury from the balconies. Exceptional range of wines (ask Alex for his recommendations) the grilled cheese on the tapas menu is a favourite of ours , along with their specialty seafood paella. Menu changes with the seasons which keeps things interesting. Desserts are never disappointing either! Don't forget to book ! Being the best restaurant in Albury keeps<br/>Them busy !

Meal with friends. Arriving at Albury after a long drive from Melbourne we were looking forward to a nice meal, The Albion was our choice, what a terrible choice that turned out to be...<br/>Myself, I thought the fish of the day.... Fish of the day must have been carp, as this was the most disturbing piece of leather I have ever eaten, McDonalds fillet of fish seemed like a culinary delight compared to this 3month old Safeway frozen John doorey fillet....<br/>Must of the members in our group went the Parma, the good old parma, any parma is a good parma, WRONG... Thanks for the chicken nugget, covered in ham (ham that was probably the highlight of the meal) and a few measly gratings of cheese.... As for the steak, don't even bother take it off the menu, or get a chief that can compantly put a cut of meat on a hot plate and cook it without it resembling our great land after a bush fire...<br/>At least the chip were nice.... Will never eat here again....<br/>I hear Zed bar is the way to go, will try there next time....

We arrived late on a Sunday night for dinner (8.45 ish)and were greeted warmly by Michael, who took food and drink orders. He was friendly and funny and had our 3 kids In stitches! Kids steaks and fish and chips were terrific and included a lovely kid friendly salad. Adult Parma great too. Highly recommend. We will definitely return!

Great country town pub. We had a late but great meal on Monday night. <br/>The whole baked rainbow trout was superb and cooked to perfection. <br/>My husband had the eye fillet steak with fresh vegetables again cooked to perfection. <br/>Excellent pub food and friendly courteous staff. Will be recommending this pub to our friends.

Great gluten free options. They had many menu choices that could be changed to be gluten free, my fish and chips were delicious!! I was surprised at how good the fish tasted, many places don't think about sending out a great gluten free dish they just remove the batter etc. So I was very impressed!!

Fooooood. OMG have just read some of the reviews for this place...........I have been going here with my husband for at least 15 or so years and can honestly say that neither of us has ever and I repeat never had a bad experience with any of the meals or with the service.Staff are always happy and friendly and the meals are always hot and cooked to perfection.Extras that are not listed on the menu like black olives and fetta in my salad are never a problem and never at an extra charge!!! Of all the places in Albury that we could eat out my choice is always the albion ...affordable,casual and clean.{ps....I have had a tour of the kitchen and can honestly say that it would be one of the most organised ones that I have seen {I am in hospitality myself} and remember that the toilet facilities at any restaurant reflects the cleanliness of the place in general....I for one will for sure continue eating at this establishment......

Restaurant on the Top Floor. You have to try the restaurant on the Top Floor of the Albion, my friend & I were walking along Dean St looking for something to eat, the bar looked a bit too busy for us to chat. Just happened to see the sign for the restaurant sign, the bar staff rang to see if they could fit us in, we were told there would be a bit of a wait. It was a saturday night 8pm & they had a huge function in on the second floor. Up we went & what an unexpected experience. A large glass & steel extension on the back of the top floor of the building, fantastic views overlooking the surrounding buildings, could have been in New York. The service was attentive, the wine selection was good and the food was above expectations, the seafood paella which we share was way above what I expected. <br/>Will go again & would thoroughly recommend it

The chips were crunchy and the mushroom sauce had a lovely flavour but the steak was inexcusably tough. Pair that with a room that completely lacks atmosphere and I was underwhelmed.

Shameful. Was so excited to try out the new top level but was so disappointed. Staff had no clue about the meals. We had to find our own table after they shoved us onto the balcony for 40 minutes and we were meant to get a complimentary champas that never arrived. Prices are outrageous and meals are terrible. We all (10 of us) left starving and broke.

Azotea Tapas Restaurant. Nice view, shame about everything else. Actually it's only a nice view if you peer over the solid balcony - oh why didn't they put in floor up glass?<br/><br/>We ate there as a large group, and the first thing we noticed was a ridiculous gap in the floor space, because we guess that there were a few groups there that night? <br/>Anyway the service was terrible - very rude and arrogant attitudes from the wait people despite us trying our hardest to be pleasant, as I'm sure groups must frustrate them. <br/><br/>The 'tapas' were just dreadful. Despite selecting a mix of tasting plates, there were very few - if any stand-outs, and any Masterchef hopefull would whip these guys into oblivion.<br/><br/>Couldn't wait to leave (and grab a burger on the way home!)<br/><br/>However if this bar should become something like rooftop bar Next Level @The Barkly in St Kilda. Cocktails, DJ's and dress to impress crowd - then we will return

Nice food, good atmosphere. Had dinner here during an overnight stay in Albury. Very nice pub and had a good meal here. Had the schnitzel with pepper sauce and other half had the steak. Steak was cooked perfectly and although the schnitzel was perhaps a bit well cooked, it was very tasty and the accompanying potatoes and vegies were were lovely too. Other half''s salad was a bit big but food overall was good quality and good value for money. Staff was very friendly and we enjoyed a bottle of wine while sitting on a comfy couch. Nice atmosphere for a public bar although people who prefer the bistro/dining area can move there easily. Highly recommended if looking for a place to eat in Albury!
