Review Saludos - Albury

Food was delicious!! Couldn’t fault any dish. Full of flavour. Really nice atmosphere. Waitresses were lovely. Book ahead because it was busy even for a Tuesday night! Would visit again 👏

Did not disappoint! Tapas and paella were all delicious, esp the pork belly. Churros were to die for. Friendly service an added bonus! Thanks for an amazing evening.

Was a delicious meal here. Was very busy being a Friday night and the food took some time to come out but with a great atmosphere we didn’t mind. The quality of food was amazing! The pork belly and mushroom skewers were the best and we loved the carafe of sangria!! We were recommended this place by my brother and we will be back again. Thanks for the lovely meal.

Our third visit to this amazing restaurant. We would love to eat there everyday. Food is beyond delicious. A group of us meet every 6 weeks & mainly support small businesses. Saludos comes up over & over again, (hence 3 visits so far). Magnificent, relaxed ambience for leisurely Tapas dining. Amazing food, presentation excellent. Friendly & respectful staff. Mother & daughter chefs. Highly recommended, you won’t be disappointed. 👍🤗🥰

One of the best meals of my life! The flavours, quality and presentation of the food were fantastic! The dessert was simply Devine. Friendly service and a lovely atmosphere 👌🏼✨

Service was great, entrees were lovely but the Paella was burnt and bland. Little to no seafood through out the dish. Two prawns and four muscle's. Dessert churros crisp, fluffy and warm. Chocolate sauce is not quite authentic. $138 for two people and a glass of wine each.

Salute to the chef indeed! Had a lovely tapas meal at this restaurant. Staff was attentive and service was super efficient. Everything tasted great, but the potatoes were especially to die for! The calamari was crunchy on the outside but unbelievably tender on the inside, and we loved the spicyness of the Basque chicken. Also best sangria we’ve ever had! Will be back for the paella next time!!!

This restaurant has recently moved into these new premises. Prior to the move I visited for breakfast and it was atrocious and decided I would not return, however I was enticed be the new venue and took a risk. Surprise surprise I went for dinner and overall it was fabulous!!!! You can dine inside or outside in a very funky courtyard that has been made to feel ally-like. We had the tapas and it was very good. The prices were pretty reasonable for the quality. The ambience inside was lovely and the service assistant was excellent. Highly recommend this Spanish restaurant for an evening meal.

After dining at Saludos Spanish restaurant, for the first time; my comment to the young hostess, was: “That wasn’t a meal. That was an experience! I didn’t want it to end!” I ordered the lamb shank with mashed potatoes, vegetables and a side serve of chorizo (not a menu standard). The meat was so tender and prepared to perfection. It was, without doubt, the very best lamb shank that I’ve ever tasted! Similarly, the mashed potato was whisked to perfection. So creamy, tasty and devoid of lumps. Overall, the meal was perfectly balanced and the staff were incredibly friendly and professional. Prices are certainly reasonable and very competitive; considering the generous serving sizes and exceptional quality of the ingredients. A great deal of kudos must be afforded to the young chef. She is a very talented young woman. The restaurant itself, is spotlessly clean and possesses a lovely sense of character & charm. ‘Saludos’ is without exception; one of the very best restaurants to be found within the NSW/Victoria border region (not just in Albury). I was personally unaware that the restaurant even existed. It was only for the fact that a vacant parking spot existed out the front, that I decided to pull in. I am so incredibly glad that I did!

I had my 40th birthday in the beer garden during winter and it was quiet warm. The atmosphere was great as was the food, fresh and delicious and Jan and her team were so accommodating of all our needs which made preparing to be very little effort on our part and for a relaxing great night. Highly recommend Saludos they are fabulous, and will not disappoint.

I came in last night for dinner and was very disappointed in my meal. I ordered the lemon and basil spaghetti. It was the worst meal i have had to pay for. There was no taste of lemon or basil. Just a whole heap of cheese chucked on creamy pasta. I got the opinion off other ladies i was with and when all agreed it was terrible i thought id let the staff know. There was no apology from the staff and i was not offered a refund. Instead i was told that it was cooked right and thats what it meant to taste like. Seriously? You didnt taste my meal so u have no clue of what it actually tasted like. Not only my meal but fellow friends also werent happy with there meal. Where as some absolutely loved it. Very inconsistent. I do not recommend this establishment untill staff are trained on customer service.

We had a fantastic evening here. We enjoyed a large selection of tapas. Pretty close to the best calamari I have ever eaten. We left with very full bellies and very satisfied!!

Regular weekend spot for us and never disappointed. Have had numerous breakfasts (delicious food and coffee) and dinners, soooooo good, highly recommend

Visited today I must say the milkshakes and the waitress were nice but unfortunately that is where it stops. The food is not much to be desired for breakfast items were ok to be generous however the tapas was so disappointing to put it nicely definitely not worth the $$

Such a great experience!! Delicious paella and a great selection of drinks for dinner then freshly pressed juice and another epic meal for breakfast with wonderful service and a stunning authentic Spanish atmosphere. Thanks so much!!

I laugh at these people getting their knickers in a twist over having to wait longer than usual during busy times. 45 mins is not that long! I went into Saludos today and as always I was immensely satisfied with my food and service. These guys seriously know how to make some good food! I've been to Saludos several times now and honestly - compared to most other places I've been this is the one I come back to most. I'm certainly not going to have a cry if there is a bit of a delay with my food as the wait is always worth it. Highly recommended.

I have been wanting to try this restaurant and last night finally had the opportunity and was not disappointed. The atmosphere with the fireplace was lovely but the food was the showcase with tapas delights that were so very tasty accompanied by a good wine list with a great special of the night. A fantastic night out reasonably priced and a new favourite restaurant definitely will be back.

Good food, friendly efficient staff. Would recommend.

I have had the pleasure of enjoying lunch & dinner at Saludos on a number of occasions. The service is consistently very friendly. The food is delicious, my favourite is their calamari. The hot chocolate is impressive & Sangria refreshing! courtyard is an option if alfresco dining takes your fancy

We were passing through Albury on way back to Sydney and stumbled on Saludos. It was a wet winter day, the fireplace was a welcome from the cold and wet outside. Met the owner and she recommended the pull beef with house flat bread and sausage roll..they both taste great! The churros is a sweet way to finish off a satisfying meal!

Great food, champagne sangria's were amazing....we had 2 jugs. The flamenco dancer was awesome!!! Will definitely be going back.

Average. First of all, our waiter didn't even bring the cutlery with our meals. Food was below average, very bland. Calamari was raw and when it was sent back to the kitchen, the chef/owner came out and instead of apologising said "You don't have to like everything I cook". Customer service is appalling. To top it off, we were charged for the calamari that were undercooked. Do not recommend

The food is always delicious, service can be average but the food makes it worth it. Be sure to tell your wait staff exactly what you want, you'll get it in time. Sometimes they're quick, but definitely don't plan it as a quick dinner.

Very nice setting, good music and service. We enjoyed the delicious tapas and the lamb paella was well worth the wait and surpassed expectations. Will be returning!

very dissappointing. We made a booking and asked if we could order the paella ahead of time.  They said yes.  When we arrived we we reminded the waitress of our order who smiled and walked away.  An hour later I saw the manager who informed me that there was no order for the paella they dont take orders for paellas beforehand.  We left.

Saludos is a great little restaurant with great food, excellent staff and fun tunes. Me and my partner were hunting for food after 9pm over the Christmas holiday period and were lucky enough to stumble upon this little gem. <br/>We had the chicken schnitzel which can rival most pub Schnitz in Melbourne, I know big call but they are excellent.

Was anticipating big things from Saludos, but left severely disappointed. A lacklustre greeting and a waitress who clearly did not want to be there was trumped by the WORST paella ever eaten!! Soggy, completely lacking any flavour, and not true to menu description-this was absolutely vile, and ensured we will not be returning for a second try. The sangria though, was lovely, but even that could not save a $60 overpriced plate of sadness that the paella was.

Came here for dessert and boy were we given a pleasant surprise!!! our crepes were filled with the lightest and most delightful cream and the churros were to die for!! Huge servings for a very decent price.

Severely disappointed... Walked in on a sunny Saturday morning about 9:30am, 1 or 2 other tables seated around the restaurant, greeted promptly by a friendly waitress who told us to sit where we liked. Chose to sit outside, menus brought over and our coffee order was taken. That was probably the only good part of our experience. Now, I worked in hospitality for over 7 years and I have heard every "we have been waiting for 15 minutes for our food/coffee" rant in the book, only to check the docket time and see they have been waiting for 5. But I am not exaggerating when I say we waited for 20 minutes to get our coffees. A lady came out at the 15 minute mark and took our food orders, at which point I asked whether our coffees were far away. She let us know that they were a minute away. We considered not bothering with ordering food when we had been waiting so long already for the coffees, but decided we would give them a chance. When the coffees finally arrived, they were served on a wooden platter with a small piece of slice each. Which would have been lovely if my partners coffee had not spilled everywhere on the way out to us, and even more so when it was placed in front of us, with no offer of a napkin. He had to go inside and asked 2 different people for a napkin. My coffee was great, partner said his was a bit weak but otherwise ok. We waited another 35-40 minutes for our food, naturally regretting our choice to stay. A waitress came out at the 30 minute mark, giving us cutlery and apologising for the delay on our food, but let us know it was only a few minutes away. Both ordered the Spanish omelette, which we both enjoyed. All in all, nothing wrong with the coffee or the food, but when you are waiting for the amount of time that we were for everything we ordered, the experience turns into a bad one. There appeared to be plenty of staff on, at least 2 front of house staff, and they were not busy. We are from Melbourne so are used to quick, efficient service. In hindsight, I do wish we had said something at the time, but we were both so angry I think it could have come across as rude so we kept it to ourselves. Overall disappointing experience, considering a friend recommended this place to us. Would not return.

Friendly staff . Quick service. Relaxed environment. Food was all delicious. Paella is great (as to be expected due to the Spanish influence) some of the best sangria I've ever enjoyed out! Only criticism was that the prawns could be a little bigger . All in all we had a lovely evening. Hope to see you extend your hours soon so I can return!
