Review Jones The Grocer - Albury

I am choosy with my coffee but this coffee was PERFECT! The only neg is min $15 on card or eft. Excellent quality gourmet range of foods.

Very poor service. Went in to buy some French lemonade and while there saw some French berry syrup to go with it. Took the two bottles to the counter, had to wait for a little while after which an arm reached around me, took the bottle of lemonade and was unceremoniously told that it was not for sale, no further explanation was provided..... Go figure, it was on a shelf with the rest of the stock. Oh well, without lemonade there was no need to buy the syrup, so they lost a sale there. Can only assume the shop attendant was keeping the bottle for themselves.

Generally pretty good, but wouldn't cut a huge wedge of cheese in half for sale. What am i going to go with 800g of Roquefort 😞🙁

Great coffee just a shame it only comes in 8 ounce but it is very cheap!

We always visited this lovely shop in Albury for lunch and food supplies but unfortunately it is now closed as the owners are retiring. So sad to see it go 🤔

Inflexible service delivery options. Poor phone communication skills. Particularly disagreeable and poor listening and negotiating skills. Very disappointed. Would not ever recommend their services to vulnerable customers.

Was happy to find jones nestled away in albury and requested to stop back in for breakfast with my new fiancé only to have both of us laughed at to our faces consistently when ordering and again while waiting. Have yet to be treated so condescendingly by a female barista in my life. A shameful tarnish to such a great brand. Would never return.

We've been coming here for years but today you lost two customers for good. A rude young woman (tall, dark haired, needs to get over herself) behind the counter at 3pm today stood glaring at us when we entered. Her snooty attitude could freeze milk. She watched us looking at the lunch menu for about 2 minutes before we ordered and she thundered, "Nothing left except the chicken!!" Thanks. The benches we sat at were filthy (sticky, unwiped, dead flies). 4 staff behind the counter and not one could spend 30 seconds tidying up the eating area? While having our horrible chicken sandwiches (no mayo, not twice cooked, no butter, missing lettuce) a woman came in who ordered and was given the salmon salad!! But I thought there was "nothing left except chicken sandwiches"? Interesting way to treat your customers, and right in front of us too. You're not exactly the busiest place in Albury, clearly you're struggling, so the dismissive attitude, non-existent lunch and dirty unkempt premises should see you end up where you belong.
