Review Hog's Breath Cafe - Albury

Easy booking, (dinner starts from 5PM) Convenient location. Good and efficient service with clean and a variety of table sizes and bencches. Novel decor, Very quaint. Worked for our small" birthday" group. Drinks were Great. Meals were somewhat distorted with a mix of the order. Steaks were as described and ordered, tender but 'lacking' overall. Ribs were some thing to write about, large, tender, tasty and looked superb too. Over all not disappointed.

Reasonable price and the service was ok. Food cooking is average. Nice atmosphere.

Called to book a table, left two messages no call back. Called during identified trading hours no answer called at 6pm finally booked a table. Arrived and had to wait for a table to be cleaned despite only two other diners at the time. Poor food quality compared to multiple previous visits & drinks reorders no offered when clearing emptys. Service felt rushed with very little attention to detail.

I ordered rib eye steak and I was so disappointed. Basically a piece of grizzle and fat. Wife wanted Barramundi but they didn't have any so ended up with battered fish. She said it tasted funny and a little undercooked and couldn't eat it. She said fish from a fish and chip shop would have been better. Spoke to staff about it who offered us a discount, so instead of $95 we payed $90. Should have paid for our drinks only, will not go back. Staff were friendly enough.

We visited last night for my sons birthday. Food was ok but I thought expensive for what you get (*). Atmosphere a bit lacking (possibly due to covid setup), staff seemed overwhelmed. Did not receive drink for kids meal and had remind them about the included icecream, we left before it came as it took too long. * The biggest thing was that we could not use our frequent diner card. Probably won't be back unfortunately.

Delicious food, and mostly great service. We've been heaps of times. :) Only thing that would get us there more often is if they had a kids play area. They do have colouring in for the kids, and a great kids menu. We have tried many dishes there, and have enjoyed them all! SO much to choose from - the menu is huge!

Have been here on a number of occasions. A great restaurant to take kids. A good option for lunch too with good priced lunch options. Steaks are always very good but it still feels like it’s a franchise style meal. Cool ambience and colouring in stuff for the kids. Curly fries are yummy and different for a change. Can sit inside or out. Recommend but not brilliant.

Ordered thru Menulog ordered kids nuggets and curly fries received nuggets and only 4 pieces of curly fries in container. Called store spoke to manager who advised he was the one who cooked meal and advised what I had received was correct for a kids meal. All up paid $95 for meals will not be ordering again. All other food was fine except kids meals.

Had better meals at the pub. Service was an improvement since new owners came in but food was worse. Half the size of the old menu portions but similar if not same price. Couldn’t even get vegetables; only option was deep fried cauliflower with cheese sauce. Wouldn’t recommend or go back.

Ordered the "Fisherman's Catch" meal for home delivery through menulog yesterday and it was the best home delivered meal I have ever eaten! Everything was so fresh and tasty. Meal was delivered on time by a very friendly driver :) Highly recommend!!!

It was a fantastic meal enjoyed it heaps we will be back again waitresses were very helpful when we asked things about our meal top place to go to

Went for dinner last night for my mums b'day. Meals on point as usual. Compliments to the young gentleman who was our waiter. �

My rating is based on the delivery service. I do not recommend delivery. Food was delivered 1 hour and 45 mins after ordering and was cold was not an enjoyable experience. Eating in is a better option

It was great with the two young kids, waitstaff were attentive and kind, food was timely and tasted great. The free birthday meals are well worth the membership and all future meals are discounted making this place good value for what you get. :)

Once again had an awesome meal & fantastic service, Hogs Breath Albury you never disappoint. Thanks for a great night.

I ordered from Menulog tonight and was super disappointed! The order arrived on time but the curly fries and the onion rings were cold. I ordered the vegan Schnitzel burger and was excited to see there was a vegan option. I couldn't wait to try it! When it arrived I was shocked to find that they were Fry's schnitzels. If I had known this I wouldn't of wasted my time and money to pay a ridiculous amount for a burger I could have easily prepared at home, and eaten when it was still hot. It would have been nice to try something new, original and unique to your store. Hopefully you will look into creating your own patty or using a substitute such as beyond meat, rather then a staple go to available at the local supermarket :(.

I'd probably be able to rate your delivery service if you didn't just restrict it to the central part of the 2640 postcode. Unfortunately, you have done so and have played yourself out of lots of sales. Please consider expanding out your delivery service a little bit further. We aren't that far away in Thurgoona and Lavington,or even just North Albury. Not much point in delivering to the people who can already just walk 5 minutes in to pick up.

I'm not one to complain about food, but for it to come an hour and 45 minutes later and after being told the food will not be cold it was seriously ridiculous. Burger was all over the place and vegetables with the parmigiana wasn't cooked.

Had my sons birthday here was a good night good service great food was good to see kids meals come out pretty quickly and my meal was cooked to my liking the Hog was game trying to pinch my beer tho haha

Awesome staff and service! Went there for fathers day with my family as dad just passed away, was my birthday day after fathers day and my brother and sister in-law snuck in a birthday cake. Was the best surprise of my life. I've never seen staff sing happy birthday but they all joined in and i felt extremely welcome. I had chicken elgrande also and it was fantastic.

Just had dinner here for our anniversary! The staff were so attentive and friendly. The food was awesome steak beautifully cooked, it made our night so special!

Booked for 6.30 now 8.20 and still waiting for food. Good to see the manager walking around not giving a....... hog's breath Albury well done.

Gem of a place that always caters to my needs, including Jelly Beans, not shown on the menu but bloody deliciousness
