Review The Coffee Club - Albury

Coffee was good and the food was generally okay. Poached eggs were a little overdone, but otherwise all good. No restrooms available, other than in the city walk, and both indoor and outdoor seating was available. Our dog was allowed with us outside too, and they had a nice children’s menu too, with healthier choices.

Went in today for some breakfast and coffee, shop was very busy, being a public holiday on VIC side today for Labor Day. There were only 3 staff working, one of which was the cook. Management could have better pre-empted that it would be busy today and put on more staff as the 3 girls were under the pump trying to keep up . It took quite some time to order our coffee and food, quite some time for the coffee to make it to the table and quite some time for our food to come after that as our coffee was pretty much finished at this stage. We saw 2 patrons leave because it took so long to order. The Eggs Bene however was very nice, eggs were overdone as they sat under the heat lamps for a bit though.

Swimming in hollandaise sauce on the eggs Benny a ridiculous amount poured over ,eggs way overcooked pretty disappointing. The staff not trained properly, staff pushed a Coles shopping trolley full of garbage through a full Cafe to take out. Friendly staff and coffee wasn't bad

Place was dirty, our table was not wiped over nor did anyone ask if they could wipe it over. Food came out about 1/2 an hour after the drinks. It was sub standard. The quantity of food received for the price paid was limited. 1/2 full bowl of chips when paid for large chips. They put garlic aioli on my toastie instead of as a side with my chips, as asked. When I spoke to the service person she was rude about it and didn’t even offer to get some more aioli with the tiny amount of chips with the toastie. I paid a 15% surcharge for a public holiday and clearly the company could not employ more people to meet the service needs. Over all a very bad experience.

Since my last review a few month ago- thought I’lld give this place another go last weekend. Luckily it seems even on a hectic Saturday Coffee Club staff have picked up their game. A credit to you guys in the kitchen food came out promptly & was exceptional (big brekkie). Unfortunately no napkins & dirty tables.. I note it was busy- but friendly prompt service this time. Keep it up Coffee Club! Edit ✍️ another review months later back to the same girl at the front chewing gum like an 80’s highscool student telling me we can’t serve you a big brekkie… on the menu at 9:30am cos we don’t have enough staff on… pathetic coffee club… all I can say you can’t be good 2 days out the week

Nice duck but one poached egg's whites where totaly uncooked and the other was hard boiled, both uneatable. Busy or not, if the food you serve is not close to ok you will not get return customers. I will not be returning
